I second the vote for anything a la Dr. Evil from the Austin Powers movies ...

Another suggestion would be an emote of destroying a boombox or object that has been placed nearby - tricky but worth it. We all know how impatient villains are...

"YOU'RE GOING HOME IN A ****IN AMBULANCE!"

then clapping in a football hooligan manner. Best works for larger groups of mobs all doing this at the same time.

Villians who are sophisticated/vain

--Run fingers through that meticulously perfect hair.

--For those Villians a bit myopic, should be able to remove glasses and polish them in a languid, yet perfectionist way, then replace them.<followed of course with the /e read evil plans/scroll/medical journal>

--They need to be able to emote brushing that invisible bit of lint marring their otherwise devilishly stylish suit/costume.

--Pull out a hand-held mirror to straighten tie/hair, put on lipstick, or maybe just make kissy sounds too. <Extreme vanity here>

Every Villian has her/his "Joker-esk' type breakdown. so...

--The before-mentioned running around in a circle with arms held out like an airplane was funny idea.

--The twitch. Thats it, every few moments, until emote is broken by other movement, just stand/sit there and twitch once in awhile.

--Get down on all fours and howl madly to the Moon.

There could be emotes specific to how your costume is...example: Villian Devilish Darla who has horns can polish/sharpen them, Villian Robot Rita can pull out a wrench and start 'tuning' her massive robotic arm. Villian Gunner Gina can clean/polish/load weapon at will.
<sidenote:CoH so far has had the BEST character generator I've thus far experienced, hope the choices keeps growing and growing>

When Villains get together, you can always count on one thing: Villains pulling guns on each other. /em threaten should cause the player to draw a pistol and point it in the direction he is facing. "I say we hit the bank." "Yeah? Well I say your plan sucks!" em/ threaten "Do you see this Loki? This bastage just pulled a gun on me!" em/ threaten "Yeah, I see it Tony. Put your gun down" "Up yours! You put your gun down" em/ threaten "All of you put your guns down or I'll plug the lot of you!"

Also, in CoV, /em boombox should set a bomb at the player's feet that detonates, leaving nothing to send to the hospital. Automatic character wipe. "Hey dudes! Just got level 14! Hello evil travel powers!! Let's celebrate!" /em boombox "DUDE, NOOO!!!" KABOOMBOX!!!

Please Please, a "cross arms" emote. COH toons do it after awhile, but i would appreciate it being on command. "scream", "howl" and "smoke" might be cool too. (not to "villify" smokers or anything ;-) ).

How about an evil Ganandorf type emote where you spin in the air then thrust your chest forward with arms back and laugh evilily, like the taunt emote he does in super smash brothers?

Very nice, very nice indeed. But, i don't know if someone said it, too many posts, here is my choice:

"GENTLEMAN...BEHOLD!" And the similar to the hero pulling out a dumb boombox, the villians pull a sheet off random "villianous" object. Some objects could be "death rays", "doomsday device" or even "magical object". Now, obviously these things do little more than sit there as the villian using emotes does the maniacal laughter with hands in air. Watch Aqua Teen Hunger Force, you'd understand. AND WHERE'S MY HAIRARIUM?!?!

I saw a couple of people mention the finger across the throat thing, I would also add a variant of that to the list. The thumb across the throat. For an example, watch the WWE and the wrestler Chris Benoit.

Need to have a dismissive wave. The kind of "I am so superior to you I don't even know why I bother dealing with you" kind of backhand go-away wave.

Add to that the dismissive wave turn your backwave, as in "This hero isn't worth my time, minions destroy him" thing.

Yes, the feign death move as demonstrated by the freakshow!

Heroes are such suckers!

But I would make it a power pool power, and make you immune to hero attacks while feigning death since no upright hero would ever attack a man when he is down. I notice the Freakshow are immune to attacks (you can't target them) when they are playing this 'near death' role. I wan't that power!!!!

A couple of emotes I would like to have ...
- Cower, where we shrink into a ball on the ground, trembling in fear.
- Knuckle Crack, Either interlacing hands and extending the hands outward or using one similar to taunt, but you do it to one hand and then the other.
