That could be a rough life. Under (US) chaplain rules, they have to be willing to minister to all service personnel, without promulgating their own beliefs to said personnel.

Nobody said being a Bimbot was easy.
Besides who said anything about the US. This is Taser's!

Note, all members of the 555th will be required to purchase a uniform, three cases of hard liquor, and a life insurance policy. That last one isnt strictly necessary, but since we'll be dying a lot it makes fiscal sense. -

Can I be the Atheist Chaplain?
Lady Reverend Bim, at
The Holy Temple of Three and Four nication.
We're math based, seriously.

Depends, can you stay drunk for an entire deployment? If we give up an Irish Catholic chaplain, the substitute had better be able to fill his shoes. -
Oh great, now what am I supposed to do with 500 "555th Meta-Infantry, The Triple Nickle" unit patches?! BLAST!
-
Yes. The Mayor's loyal entourage will be on hand at all events, screening contestants and breaking knees. We would have just gone with the traditional hand stamps, but ink costs money.

I'll drop a hint: the name of an upcoming Epic Archetype.

I hardly think giving a BIT of damage mitagation to an archetype that is almost entirely devoid of them is an unbalancing act... especially given the added difficulty of the post 40 game.

I think this is the fear that your forgetting about. Bubbles on Forcefield Defenders are freaking uber 40+. Controller Bubbles, whcih are watered down, are freaking Uber. The 'how much' is a bit, is what has some people worried I believe.
Though, with Conserve Energy, Kinetic's really wont need Stamina now(They dont to begin with, but, just saying)
Now granted, damage doers probably wont be worried for the most part..
But for those of us who mainly play support characters, it can have us very worried.

Why? The Fighting pool hasnt put the scrappers out of business. The Medicine pool hasnt put empathy (or rad) defenders/controllers out of business. -

And to all of you ppl who think that power pools are just cute addons....all I can say is HASTEN. This single "little" power is probably taken more than any other simply because of how HUGE of a difference it makes. Stamina runs a close second but if a few examples like this crop up in the Epic Pools there is gonna be trouble in happyville.

There is a huge difference between the totally unique effect powers and power pool strength implementations of known, simple, straightforward powers.
So blasters can take a few more hits - that is NOT going to kill grouping. It means they dont get plowed into the ground by One-Shots or the occaisional ambush-leaving-a-mission-while-the-tank-and-bubbler-are-still-loading. It means scrappers dont have to screw around chasing minions with a sliver of life left.
This is going to help grouping, not hurt it. Being able to absorb one more Killshot doesnt mean you dont need a healer, it means that healer has some wiggle room in who he heals, when, and so on. It makes the other guy's job easier. Why should the Blasters have to change targets and waste shots on some pissant minion that is heading for the hills with 1hp left when there are bigger, badder things to shoot? Let the scrapper finish his target with his tiny little ranged power, without leaving the group to chase the idiot down.
Removing the Mickey Mouse bullflop doesnt make everyone more independant, it makes them more group friendly. -
The real tragedy of all this is that my blaster, The Amazin Laser, will not be getting laser beams.
Its like a hurricane of irony raining on my barbeque. -

Definately need some overly dramatic looking emotes. Think The MONARCH! or Doc Orpheous from Venture Bros
Lets see.. what else.. Insane laughing, maybe some nervous twitches...

The design team needs to have that show playing on monitors in all offices and hallways at Cryptic. -
I'd like to see offline characters in a cryogenic storage type setup, or a barracks. If there is a raid... well, they are either frozen in a tube and thus out of the way, or the villains have sealed them in the barracks area.
-
Gotta second the neck crack emote and the dramatic cape twirl stuff... especially if CoV includes over the shoulder capes like Vader and batman have.
My suggestion would be a "Choke" animation involving a henchman (henchman being the fade-in equivalent of the boombox, just there for kicks).
Not really an emote, but if there are any powers that block/redirect/nullify hero powers, they have an animation showing the villian blocking the shot with his palm or two fingers (as in, Hero throws a blast or punch at villian and villian counters with a deft hand move or absorbs it with no more than his index and middle fingertips.) -

Oh yea, there was that villian in Batman Returns (not sure if thats the right one, its the one with the new batman in the year 2050 or so) that used sonics, lasted only one episode though.

I belive you are referring to "Batman Beyond" on the 'ol WB. Yep, that'd be "Shriek" I belive. He had a robotic glove/helm combo (technology) that granted him the ability to channel sound waves in a sort of blaster/controller way.
It was purely an offensive power, with good controller abilities. Generally, you could have single target sonic blasts, cone sonic blasts, the "annoying screech in ear" mez, if a blaster a PBAoE "Sonic Boom" is possible.. I don't see being able to be a blaster who has the ability to mez, but perhaps switching it to a disorient..? *shrug*
Oh, and I do remember at least one more episode with him in it.Perhaps two, but I cannot remember if the two scenes I remember are not from the same ep...
[/ QUOTE ]
yea thats the one I meant and yea it was a purely offensive power (think controller/defender).
A sonic type powerset would have to be pretty powerful because ANYTHING with ears wouldn't be able to resist it. Although foes with helmets (5th col, nemesis, crey) could be able to resist it with sound padding and all. Not sure how robots/mechanical stuff would be resist to it cause bieng computerized, they might be able to filter out the sound, unless its the kind of sonics that can damage material.
Not even sure if it'll work on DE cause it doesn't look like they have ears of any sort, although the devoured bosses would have ears of some kind.
[/ QUOTE ]'
Heh, ears nothing. Sonics doesnt necessarilly equal human-ear-rang like you are thinking - it could be shockwaves strong enough to shatter steel, vibrations that can be sent out into the ground to either knock foes off their feet, or hold them in place as the integrity of the surface under them is broken.
Basically, in game, I'd see this applied as a primary blaster power with short range, heavy, heavy knockback or plain old smashing damage. Basically, instead of "noise" its about "shockwaves."
As a control power is where it would be what you are thinking of - holds (shake the ground under them so they have to strugle to keep balance), disorients (the loud noise thing that acts like a flashbang minus, well, the flash), a kind of fake-out power (like throwing voices or casting noises that make mobs disperse or come out one at a time or attack a nonexistant target), minor stealth coverage (sound masking), etc.
... and Shriek was my favorite bad guy from Batman Beyond. Wasnt a major one, but the concept ruled.
