Yeah, these have all been mentioned before, but I haven't seen much of them and they are essential:
Caesar style thumbs down (there might be a thumbs up that starts the same way, both under the "decide" emotes.)
Pantomime firing a gun. So many uses for that one.
Diva laugh, I've only seen it mentioned once (hand open at the opposite corner of mouth and an over the top laugh.) as well as pinky gesture laugh (Doctor Evil if it isn't already copyrighted)
Finger across the throat. Again, many uses.
[Censored]slap for those who don't have Spectral Wounds. The SW animation a perfect slap emote... (And it makes gray cons fall down and others get mad at you, priceless.)
Pretty much all of these are the true essentials, and they work well for both Heroes and Villains.
As for Power taunts try this bind...
"powexec_name Fire Blast$$unselect$$em fancybow$$say Please allow me to introduce myself..."
Exchange Fire Blast for any other power that lights up your hands. And of course you can change the saying. You could also do other emotes as long as they aren't cycling emotes (like dance).
Or for an energy Melee tank.

Having an emote were we dance with a globe would be a great tribute to Chaplin.
"Contemplating" - Hands together in front of chest, fingers spread, with finger-tips touching
"In my hand"- one arm raised, with an open, semi-cupped hand....Doctor Doom is depicted making this gesture frequently...it's sort-of a triumphant gesture
"Take over the world" - holding a globe while glaring at it hungrily.
"Ah, the power!"- transition from a crumpled stance to an open and imposing stance...as though the villain was just refreshed or infused with power...sort-of like the animation for using inspirations
This is tough, because villians operate from the darker side of our spirits, and their actions are typicially involved with objects. As there is no real way to involve all the hostages, treasures, weapons, animals, and so on that villians typically have for PCs, it seems limited to anger and pride. Oh, and grovelling.
"This is the END!" Knifed hand sweep at chest height, as if knocking all the objects off a high table. Perhaps incorporate a small step forward for emphasis. sweep could also work at neck height.
"You've meddled in my affairs for the last time!" Clenched, quivering fist and forearm held parallel to the ribcage. Think overwhelming rage. Or any number of anime examples.
'Gloat' (Taken from the Evil Genius Demo): hands held behind back, chest thrust forward, peering down nose.
'Manical' : as 'Gloat', but with body visibly moving with laughter.
'Hair pull': Use any staff member reading the forums for reference.
'Mystery button': Pull out a device with a red button, and push.
'Check Nails': Disinterested in hero, check fingernails (any method). "You aren't worth my time." vibe here.
'Grovel': On shins and knees, hunched over, hands clutched together and quivering.

Perhaps something could be done with a "tell" where the villian, after the hero either runs in near defeat or the villian has to strategically retreat, can send taunts to the hero a la "I'm coming for you" , "I can smell your fear". That kind of stuff. I know it can be done with just regular tells, but maybe including somethinig more in the "taunt" emote, than "Uughh!"

Maybe a "I will Return!" with either smoke bomb run fast with "tail between your legs" or shake fist at them and run into rocket/submarine/whatever?
PS My overall favorite bind/macro is "Rikti stink and are <bleep!>!with a burp emote

One word: Doomfist
For best use of the Doomfist, see Star Wars: A New Hope during the scene on the Death Star when an officer informs Grand Moff Tarkin that the Rebel base on Dantooine is deserted, at which Darth Vader says, "I told you she would never willingly betray the Rebellion," and after a slight pause, does the Doomfist.
How about:
1- Feign death (would only work if it'd change the name to orange too). This would be the ultimate way to lure in would be do gooders
2- Air Punching. A much better taunt that what we've got available as heroes.
3- The Hot Touch- Licking a finger, touching it to your hip, and saying something along the lines of "Oooh I'm hot!"
4- A seductive pose - Quite a few villians try to lure the opposite sex into being put at a disadvantage
5- The distraction - Simply pointing into the air and yelling "Look flying dead bird!"
didn't get to read the whole post but if it hasen't been posted yet u must and i mean MUST iclude the Happy Gilmore riding the Bull dance!!!! maybe a sword or evil staff between the legs and gallop around in victory. I would just do this all day long lol.
