Can anyone confirm the Zookeeper badge? I think I've killed every type of Rikti a few times and havent seen anything. Maybe its like the Outbreak badge?

I can't get the Zookeeper badge either. Presumeably it'd be for monkeys, as thats really the only Rikti enemy type that makes sense given the name of the badge. So unless it gives no progress and requires 300-500 monkeys or so...

I've had a few issues with past badges......

Some of my SG-mates have badges for some of their past exploits (and I have a few of mine for what I did in the past..)

I'm defientely missing a few though...the one that sticks out in my mind the most is the Vahzilok Plague badge...I KNOW I did that mission set!!!! I KNOW I DID cuz' it was my first extremely memorable experience in CoH :P

Yet I don't have my badge

It seems the datamine will only give you the badge IF it was YOUR mission, if you always did someone elses missions then the datamine didnt work.

In Crey's Folly i ran across something called Wild Rikti Monkeys. They might work they were too high level for me to try at the time.

That may explain some of it, but I'm pretty sure it was my mission cuz' I remember having to get some of my SG-mates to come help.

The Plague stopper is for a standalone (and I think timed) mission to find barrels of poison. It isn't part of the story arcs for the Vahzilok. This badge is one of the confusing ones because there's a story arc and standalone mission that share the same theme.

Rikti Monkeys are Rikti Monkeys, the title just means that they're a little more dangerous. Kinda like Freak Choppers and Mad Freak Choppers.

Does anyone know if the 'Isolator' (Kill 100 Contaminated in Outbreak) badge count towards absolutely anything else at all (IE Accolades)?

I'd hate to miss an Accolade or something due to the one badge it looks like I'll never be able to get. (Unless that portal mission I hear about with Contaminated count toward said badge.) I don't have it in me to start my character again even if it is needed for an accolade, heh.

It doesn't.

If I am not mistaken, there is a portal mission that has contaminated in it. But that is 40+

There is absolutely no way of knowing if this is needed for accolades now or in possible future accolades as only like 4 accolades have been discovered thus far.

Last night monkeys died, in large numbers. It was Monkey Genocide. About 2500 met their doom. No badge. The slaughter will continue......

Positron has stated the Isolator badge is entirely an easter egg badge (that's why its the only defeat X badge with no progress bar). It doesn't count towards existing accolades nor will it ever count. Also the contaminated in the portal mission DO NOT count for the badge (someone confirmed this finally).

it doesn't exist. It's merely a rumor by someone who has obviously never played the end-game anything.

Contaminated only exist in one place and at one level, Outbreak, and 1. They do not exist at lvl 2, or lvl 3, or in anything but minion form.

The reason is because they suck so hardcore, that if there were lvl 50 contaminated, they would be the easiest XP in the game by far. A controller with 1 slot brawl could **** a mob of them.

Could you imagine if there was? It would be the most farmed mission in the game. Mass pulls of people that shoot one pistol (minor dmg) every 15 seconds? and maybe a blunt object (minor dmg)every 15 seconds?

what a joke that is to even propose.

and actually, that mission you are thinking of is "Crazed". If you want to consider them Contaminated you are welcome. They look somewhat alike, but they use more severe attacks, and do way more damage, and attack a lot faster. There's a big difference.

As I've said in another thread - I believe I started this rumor by floating the idea (AS an idea, not a fact). People then picked up on it and the idea morphed... Just goes to show you can't suggest things without *someone* misquoting you.

I admit I'm not as "uber" as you (in this game - I've reached the "end-game" in plenty of others), not (quite) having reached 40 yet - but that's no reason to call my ideas a "joke". The thought was an honest one.

Also, just for the sake of argument - who says that the level 50 contaminated would have to have the exact same power set as level 1 contaminated? That's just asinine - most mob types (considering "mob types" to be, say, "CoT minion" or "Lost lieutenant", etc) in this game gain powers as they gain levels, the same as we do. Compare the powers that a level 8 Headman Blaster has with, say, a level 25 Aberrant.

All this is just to say - it's certainly *possible* that the devs could create such a mission in the future, if the outcry over the badge warrants it. I make no (and have *never* made any) claims as to its existence now.

Geez okay... sorry, no reason to be a jagass about it....

I wasnt sure about that... its been awhile since I saw the mission. DAYUM...

Take a deep breath and relax man... we are"trying" to pool information here... A simple "No, its a crazed mission your thining of." Would have sufficed....

Looking for some more info on two plaques in particular.
1) Perez Park: CitizenCrimeAct5 -(-2633, 0, 378) Just inside the park wall, north of Atlas entrance.
I wasn't able to find this one. Are the coordinates correct and I'm just blind or is there some info I am missing here?

2) Terra Volta: SpankyRabinowitz6
Any info at all on this yet?

Question 1:
Its more than a little north. The coords are correct. The plaque is on the park side of the wall, north when you enter the park from atlas entrance. I had to run past 3 or 4 mob spawns before finally finding it.

Thanks, I was able to find it tonight. Guess I am just blind.

what lvl is the stand alone for this? Because I do believe I did it. I was a HUGE vahz hunter in my teenies. Did the patient zero, had to dispose of the vahz barrels, killed Dr. Vahz himself, etc etc.... hell I must have kill THOUSANDS of embalmed but from what I am getting the kill count badges didin't count pre-issue 2 kills?

This is very perplexing...so I guess if I want to get the TF accolade I have to just start a new character? as mylvl 24 is too high for positron? or can you exemplar old TFs? (now that is a thought )

Right now I'm trying to get the pupil badge which you need 5 plauqes of the World War II stuff and Atlas well I've read all 5 of them and haven't got the badge yet, also I already read them mutliple times just to make sure that I got them all. So ppppllllleeeeaaaassseee help me anyone!!! Plus how and would to i (go/ talk to) for the negotatior badge?

Posted

Hmmm you should have Pupil if you've hit all five plaques in the four zones. Are you sure you clicked on all five plaques?

Negotiator is earned by doing the level 5-9 Skulls vs. Clockwork timed mission.

Posted

1) Its against the woods next to the wall on a pedastal a ways north of the Atlas Park entrance to the park, usually has a group of skulls near it.

2) 492 yards SW of entrance. In line with West edge of Coroman Manufacturing area.

You can't exemplar to do Task Forces and so far there's no evidence that task forces or trials are needed to get any of the accolades. If you did the TF before Issue #2 you should get credit for it. The defeat and status badges you have to earn from scratch as they didn't track the information needed before.

The mission is in the 15-19 range (same as Patient Zero arc).
