    Game population

Only slightly related, but I was surprised to find out 3500 is the max number on a server ever, and 2500 is considered exceptional. There must be a lot of subs playing causally.
Forum numbers look higher with 4700 browsing with 170k members as i type, though not spread between 12 servers.
  2. Okay, I must be confused and wrong. And been dropping from the queue without noticing.

Though as the warning about no access to full screen is only at the point of entering the turnstyle. I know you cant do any of 1-5 in turnstyle, but mistakenly thought you could while in queue.

And to make sure we are all talking about the same thing, I call the queue, what happens when you click LFG and join queue, and call it entering the turnstyle when the league leader or the queue when reached min. numbers and you get the pop up window.

Oh I meant costume change at tailor too, poor wording sorry.

The other power set that still causes me problems is Willpower. That so called "heart beating" effect that's on "Mind over Body" and "Indomitable Will" cause me grief after about 10-15 minutes worth of play time. Which sucks because I'd love to actually play my Willpower scrapper.
I have a bind for my characters that supresses/unsupresses thier visual effects. I use it for pulsing fiery aura type effects, which I couldn't stand and when I use my FF defender to avoid seeing my big bubbles. The drawback is that it cuts off all your visual effects - so you may not see if you are bubbled etc.

I'll post it tonight, hopefully it can help you play your WP scrapper.

It does nothing for other people's effects. It would be great to have a similar option to do that with other people's powers.

    Edit:
    My binds:
    /bind control+S suppressCloseFxDist 300
    /bind shift+S suppressCloseFxDist 0

So Control+S and you don't see your powers, Shift+S restores it.
I copy them to each character (part of my default binds now) as if you change it for character A, and then log into character B, the suppression will be the same if that makes sense.

Quite a few characters I couldn't handle until doing this. As an added bonus, in Ice Armour, you'll still see your costume

OR! Brainwave! You know how Hamidon and the green mitos can cause you to actually resist healing powers? What about the opposite of that? Make Core Rebirth give -Res to healing! That way further healing from teammates or whatever is increased in effectiveness on targets hit by Core Rebirth. It's thematic, it's a buff to the power, and it doesn't step on Barrier's toes!
    I like that idea.

Same for me. I haven't had any issues with incarnate powers, but to be honest haven't been on many teams outside of trials using them.
And during trials, its often a kaleidoscope for me.

    The same.

Particularily an automated event so other time zones get some chance too.
  7. It's easier to moderate a blanket rule (no off topic) too.
No drama about so&so getting to chat when I didn't. Or I was allowed to chat this time yesterday. Etc etc.

I have plenty of social chat channels, so I don't mind my team finding ones to be uncluttered.

so to sumarize for you once you enter the queue

    1. You can not use the train, ferry, heleicopter, ouro portal, base portal or any other means of transportation that requires a zoning screen. You are basically stuck where ever you are

    2. You can craft new IO enhancements but don't try to slot them because accessing that screen will kick you from the queue

    3. You can't enter your SG base, if you belong to one, and you can't do door missions of any kind.. again because the zoning screen will kick you out of the queue.

    4. If you decided to respec you character or create a new costume while you wait.. you can't because that full screen menu will once again kick you out of the queue.

    5. while it may vary from time of day or even server to server the wait to get onto a team can be as much as 20 to 30 minutes despite the 1 or 2 minute wait mentioned when you enter the queue.

    (SNIPS)
I'm pretty sure you can do 1 & 2, and make a costume change while waiting in queue - I'll try again tonight. Its only when you have clicked the "enter" button that those things become impossible. Typically thats the shortest bit, you might be waiting 30 minutes to get to that point.

They really need to fix #5 though.

Sure, it's a choice... a lop-sided and unnecessary one. If we were "obligated" to accept people from LFG being added to the league, the option to kick them would not be there. And the click-through "agreement" that some are so hung up on declaring as some kind of obligation... isn't. It's a notification, nothing more.

In the end, having a league lock function or not will change nothing for me. If, on the rare occasions that we're holding a restricted league, we get people from the LFG, they will be kicked. It will be polite, and inevitable. This doesn't disturb my sense of justice one bit. You can pretend to have the "moral high ground" all you want, but I'll lay good odds that the shoe will be on the other foot for you a lot sooner than it will for me. To wit, you're a lot more likely to eventually want the ability to lock a league a lot sooner than I'll wish I didn't have the ability to kick someone.
What do you mean by my side of the discussion? The point I made which you jumped in on (and reacted to rather than read) was Lothic stating they didn't want to kick people but would if they had to for whatever reason.

I said you had valid reasons for kicking people from your league.

You seem to be reading way more into my text than I have put there
Wanting a golf clap? Really, you consider that discussion? Claiming I am pretending to have high moral ground?
I'm factually correct. I don't need moral ground.

I quibbled over your caps, as it is generally accepted typing in all caps is the same as shouting in textual enviroments, so the tone of your post was yelling random words for no apparent reason.
If you think grammar, spelling and presentation aintimportant when you are trying to highlight a point and that caps will prove your point over facts, well <shrugs>.

Another example would be a group of friends sit down at a large table in a diner and theres an extra seat. Now if some stranger showed up and sat down at the table with them no one would think they were being rude if they told him to leave. And if the stranger tried to argue that the owners of the diner put the chair there for anyone to use so they have no right to ask him to leave their table, he would be the one labeled the obnoxious jerkwad.
Thank you for clarifying, makes more sense now.

I do believe that league leaders have the right to kick people. I wrongly thought you were saying I thought otherwise. I do feel empathy for people waiting a long time to only be kicked.

  17. Macros, the icons that are in your power tray, you right click and delete.

Binds, the commands you link to keyboard (eg pressing shift+N for ninjarun) can be replaced by a new bind, restored to default by /unbind key or use /bind key "nop" to set to doing nothing.

I believe that preformed leagues must start in the same zone, unlike joining the LFG queue solo.

They'll get an apology. They'll get the option to leave on their own. But please do NOT unilaterally make the assumption that there are NO circumstances under which an un-planned LFGer MUST be kicked.

And quite frankly, I'd rather THEY not have to waste their time joining us in the first place, and wind up BACK in the queue, thanks to circumstances beyond ANYone's control.
It is still your want. You may have your varied, excellent and valid reasons, but you are not being forced to kick players. It is a choice.
No matter what CAPSLOCK argument you use.

Character names will be totally unaffected.

I wish there was a way to make shards from something from the itrials.
