Well, i am pacted with one of my son's characters and he has 11mil infamy now, even though his character isn't played except once every 5 levels to run a mayhem. So, it's gotta be coming from somewhere.

Edited to add that he isn't showing shared prestige. He's got something like 2000 while i have 1/2 a million.

Scroll to the top of this page. Click on My Home. Select the Edit button to the right of "Personal information, email, password, etc." Scroll down until you get to the avatar area. Select "URL to your avatar (80x80 max pixels, may be smaller) (.gif, .jpg, .png accepted)." Enter the URL to your avatar into the URL box supplied. Click the Submit button.

Patience seems to work just as well as refreshing the page. It will eventually show the correct data.

Had this every server i've been in since the last patch, but it was the worst last night. i play mainly on Virtue and, recently, Guardian. Zoning seems to happen most often, but my Husband and i had random mapservers inside of missions last night, too. At one point, we thought we'd gotten totally disconnected, but recovered, and a few seconds later several people in VU were talking about getting mapserved, so it wasn't just us. i don't think this is an ISP issue. i believe it is something going on server-side.

As others have said, it's not random. It's the first unread post since the last time you were active on the forum.

As to the latter post by someone else about having to get to the top of the page the hard way if it's somewhere at the bottom of page one that you're thrown... that's what the HOME key is for. It'll put you right back at the top of the page. (Just as END will throw you all the way down to the bottom with one key push.)

i defeated her not too long ago and she was gray. This must be a recent change. (i was surprised she was gray, so it sticks out in my mind.)

Is it possible that there is more than one "version" of her that spawns and one of them is bugged?

This happened to be probably 4 days ago. No one but my Husband knows my PW (and He was driving home from work at the time) and i hadn't been logged on for several hours, having been sick in bed that day. Logged in and it told me i was already logged in. Went ahead and brought my character into the game and got "Disconnected from MapServer" which set off all warning bells in my head. i immediately changed my game password and ran my virus scanner (in case of keylogger, though no idea how one would get on my system with how careful i am with security). Nothing found. None of my characters, as far as i could tell, had been logged in. The character that's been my main this month MIGHT have been since she didn't have a "logged off" time, but it had been less than 24hrs since i last played her.

i think the mapserver disconnect was just bad timing on top of the "you're already logged in" error and do not feel it was connected, looking back. But i'm of the "better safe than sorry" mindset.

Honestly, if there was a single player option in the game, i'd probably use it pretty frequently. Some days i don't want to deal with people, but i still love my characters.

It doesn't help that, because i appear to have at least 1/2 a brain, the star gets tossed to me regularly. i don't want to lead your stupid team. i don't want to be the one in charge. i'd rather SOLO than lead your team. (general you) So, when i keep getting handed the star in every team i'm on, i will choose to go solo instead. (And if i get handed the star as soon as i join, i'll /quitteam without notice just about every time.)

Sometimes i say something. Sometimes i don't. It depends on how well the team has worked, whether or not i CAN type something (somtimes, the baby is laying across my arm, or i've been eating at keyboard, or whatever). Sometimes, i see the team falling apart after trying to be polite and hanging in there despite having a barely literate leader and just say, "Finally, i can leave without it seeming too rude!"

It's not always the leader. But it can be. If the leader can't form proper sentences or won't actually LEAD (i.e. doesn't give any information on what/where/when the team is doing stuff, why there are delays, etc.), i'll get fed up and leave. i don't generally say anything if i can't say anything nice. i guess it has to do something with the generation i was raised in.

It's not always me. But, there are times when i'm just not feeling too well and i need to go. Or the baby has been left naked in my lap by my teen and he's just peed all over me. Or RL has pissed me off (kids not doing chores, Husband picking on me, whatever) and i'm just too irritated to be polite even to people i'm teamed with, so again i'll bow out and leave space for someone else that isn't in a pissy mood like me.

It's not always my team. But sometimes, even with a good leader, there are members on the team that are irritating, and rather than bad mouth them (though, if i'm pissy, i may do that back channel to the leader), i'll just leave and go do something else.

And, just because i've left the team and am online does NOT mean i'm still even at keyboard. Because IRL happens to me a lot, often times i'll just enter whatever mission is closest, or go to my base, or wherever i can that won't autolog me, and handle RL. i may be afk an hour, even two, depending on what my family needs. i usually try to set an afk msg, but having an almost-toddler around that likes to stand up and pat on my spacebar means that sometimes that afk msg gets removed.

So, there are any number of reasons people may leave without saying something. It doesn't mean you were a bad leader. It doesn't mean they are bad players. It just is.

It's quiet. Too quiet...

BaBs, try it while switching between body types and heights. This was a reported issue during the test phase and i'm not sure it was ever completely addressed, since i removed my "huge" build from my female character before testing it.

Seconding the suggestion to just create a new character and start with the tutorials. The tutorial has had a MAJOR overhaul since you left the game and there is a lot of good information there.

i recently came back after a 2yr hiatus and the game was, in many ways, totally different. In others (enjoyability, wonderful people, etc.) it was still the same.

No, the issue is with one of the points along the path FROM your ISP to where you're tracing. Something between you and where you want to connect is down.

Now i don't feel so bad that i chose to take a shower first.

Been like this forever. If it wasn't like that for you, you're just special.

i especially love that all of my globals are the exact same color. That's so fun when you have several busy chats going on at once.

"Eyeballing it" does NOT give you the exact same height. "Close enough" is never really close enough.

It's possible you were clicking a door (yes, even in a hillside) that was NOT the mission exit. You could have used your WW/Base/Pocket D porter to get out, though.

And the "cannot enter" message was supposed to have been fixed yesterday.

You don't even need to visit WW/BM for this. It shows up in normal game play if you chat a lot while in combat. Go. Hunt. Kill Skuls. Then try to type to your favorite global channel. wwwssqqqrrrrrrrrWhat's up, guys?!?

Interestingly, it never includes attack numbers. Keep that in mind. It could have something to do with queuing up powers. Could be "queuing up" keystrokes, in general.

If only it had been fixed before the patch that was pushed yesterday went Live. It wasn't like SOME OF US didn't /bug it while it was still on test. One day of delay on yesterday's patch would have saved everyone from 2 mornings of down time.
