I'm trying to get it to go off, but so far all my chat entries have been clear of wwwwaaaaasssstrash.

I can confirm that this has not been fixed.

"You don't lose levels. You don't have equipment to wear out, repair, or lose, or that anyone can steal from you. About the only thing lighter than debt they could do is have an NPC walk by, point and laugh before you can go to the hospital or base." -Memphis_Bill

go edit your base for a while and for me that fills the buffer big time....and they still havent fixed it. sigh....

Interesting.... I don't recall claiming that "any and every bug" is due to stupidity and/or laziness. As a matter of fact, I never claimed that the developers were stupid, only that some implementation is. At the same time, I won't do you the discredit of claiming that you're saying that there are never any bugs caused by stupidity or laziness.

It wasn't actually a serious suggestion... The only way it would work is if it included every single poster who visits the forums and their total compliance with what would amount to a mini-revolt. Never happen. I kinda thought that was relatively self-evident...

The trick is to set it up into two factions. Once we get into the "aaaaaaaaaeeeeeeeee111112People who begin their posts with eeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaa2221 are ruining the forums!" versus "eeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaa2221People who begin their posts with aaaaaaaaaeeeeeeeee111112 are ruining the forums!" fights, it will keep itself going for months.

Having Vengeance and Fallout slotted for recharge means never having to say you're sorry.

I hate this bug. It's a minor issue ultimately since it isn't crashing servers or corrupting data, but it is highly visible, distracting and annoying.

What's broken and why is it taking so long to fix? The key problem here is way back when, someone decided it would be a good idea to have three separate keyboard input interpreters and any changes done have to play "house of cards" game with the three. The current set of bugs began appearing a while back when we started making changes to implement the mission editor, which morphed into the Mission Architect.

I've no doubt that it will be fixed at some point; I just wanted to basically point out that, yes, we're aware of it and yes, we are trying to fix it. It's just an enormously more complicated task that it "should" be.
