No. It's not just you. I'm having the same problem. Something's definatly going on here.
The servers are currently closed off for a three hour maintenance window.
During this time the servers may be up & down as NCSoft internally test whatever it is they're currently patching.
The servers should be back in about 2 hours from now.
Check the date of the server status page -- when it shows the servers up, the date is sometime last month. The servers are actually down, and I think the status page will alternate to show that (with the right date). This happened last time to the status page.
At any rate, why are the servers down? Yet another unannounced server maintenance?
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. It's not announced anywhere. I wanted to get in a couple of hours of play before work too...

Take a look at the date at the bottom: Updated: 2009-06-24 13:05:02 UTC
There's something wrong with the server status page where sometimes it shows the status as it was at that time (ie. all up) and sometimes if you refresh (or shift+refresh) it'll show you the correct time/date and the correct status.

Ok, the Server Status page says the Servers ar UP.
Still unable to log-in. Says the log-in server may be down....don't know, it's a secret apparently.
So they take the servers down on Non-Normal Maintanence days to fix AE farming abuses....so how does PLing/Farming not affect me again...oh right I can't play.

The Server status page isn't telling you that the Servers are up "NOW", it's telling you they were up at some point last month.. as if that is some kind of useful information to somebody. lol
Actually the account management page and store are both down too. Maybe the booster is being implemented today?

Ah. I figured that may be it. Still, like you say don't they risk PO'ing AE and non-AE folks by this?
If you're talking about the Science booster, then I hope so. That to me will make all of this worth it.

It shouldn't. Server maintenance around this time is not all that unusual. It used to be a daily thing, even.

Aye - you could well be right, but the notice says that the Server Status page will update automatically and there is no need to refresh.
I guess the gremlins must have been in there too having a nibble or two.

I just tried logging in for fun and found that there is now a download available. It is applying as I am typing. We'll see what suprises they have instore for us.

the server page pops back and forth between being up and being unknown/down.
guess it's just a wait and see thing till they fix/patch/publish whatever it is they are looking to do.

Yeah just noticed that. I had gone to load the game just before coming here to post, so it's been loading the update all this time and I did not notice.
maybe it's the fix for the looped-explosion on the rikti drones. Or the hanging blast animation from the mm assault bots. Would be a good idea to fix those before the rikti inv. weekend. Might save a video card or two, lol.

I'm not particularly demanding from the devs in any of the MMOs I play. If things are buggy or maintenance is required, I can work with that. All I want is a little predictability.
So let me see if I have this straight: maintenance is on Mondays and Wednesdays, except when it is on other days, which can be any day of the week. There is a Server Status page which may show the current status of servers or may mistakenly be dated a month ago and show no correct information.

I know MINE has been from the Svenhard's and Rock Stars.....

Actually the downtimes are Monday and Friday, not Wensday. The status page does not normally do what it's doing. And the non-normal downtimes are....to be acurate...not normal, but can happen, when an issue needs to be dealt with outside of the normal downtimes. I hope this helps you my freind.
