I take super speed on all of my alts regardless of primary/secondary power sets.
With respect to Terra Volta.
I take some of you are not aware a person can move up SOME walls while super speed is active.
Of course not all walls allow this. It seems SOME walls in Terra are slightly angled.
You cannot run up a building since those walls are straight, but SOME of the walls in Terra are in fact angled a touch.
Whether you believe me on this or not is irrelevent. When I run the respec, I super speed up the walls to the reactor.

I'm suggesting this on behalf of those who despise AE.
Might the mighty Positron pls make a change to AE building so that they function as their own zone with respect to messages being broadcast?
People who hate AE do not want to see the chatter while they're relaxing in Atlas Park trying to form sewer runs.
Again, this is on behalf of others. I personally luvv AE. -
Obviously the real reason people would want this is to complete their roleplaying concept.
It would never occur to them the power combinations they chose would allow them to decimate all enemies in the game without any inherent risk to themselves.
No really, it's just that I have a rp concept in mind. -

I know, I know I'm gimping my own playing experience.
For me this game begins with Ms. Tina Macintyre. Am I wrong for believing this? Yes. Will my approach to the game change at some point? Yes.
Good thing this game has Orborobo flashback system.
As to the question at hand, I agree with others. Scrapper is a good place to start. Willpower is even better. Willpower paired with Katana is even betterer ;p
I would say broadsword but idk..a new player might enjoy the lower damage faster recharge of katana as opposed to the slower recharge higher damage of broad.
After 21 months I'm still n00b so I suggest you listen more to those forumites who are well known. -

I agree in an ideal setting everyone should know who's running the game on underpowered computers & deal with them appropriately but unless the devs implement a feature which would mark one's character with a method of identification based on computer specs....complaining about random kin buffs is a non issue.
Seriously people, a new computer either bought or assembled will probably run you in the vicinity of $1000. This is manageable for those people who make as little as $20K a year. Yes it is. What this means to a person making so little money is they'll have to eliminate going out to movies, or dinner, or buying dvds, etc.
Unless someone in this world is going to give you money for nothing, you have to make choices. I did the same thing over a year ago. I wanted a new pc so I bought one online. As a result I only spent money on life essentials. Real life essentials. Food, rent.
I will say this though, I absolutely cannot stand the look of ice shields. In my illogical state of mind, I'd gladly sacrifice the pretty numbers ice shields bestow upon me instead of having to look at those things. I can simply switch to 1st person when someone hits me with ice shields. Yes. I can definately do that. -

Prediction: in the coming year or few years, we will have the option to disable most if not all power graphics.
So that means all you who craved a telekinetic-based concept will have one, if only in a visual sense.

I'm sure someone can figure out a way to move a slot here & there to maximize either build. I could swap Mutation on the fire build for another LotG mule but I do like to team from time to time :-) -
so a person plays an MMO with a piece of S computer & complains their little metal box of junk cannot handle speed boost...and that's everyone else's fault.

Correction. It makes even less sense than helping a team with a lvl 8 empath.
Sorry to be so rude but a lvl 8 FF'er, even with lvl 10 SOs, is not going to help a team nearly as well as a lvl 50 could.
Higher def % not to mention the opportunity to dip into the medicine pool.
Sorry again but I'm am at a total loss here.
If your plan here is to be a part of the team then I ask why? It's not like you can monitor your team & hand out heals before they are defeated. If your idea is to help & at the same time receive some sort of drop...then this isn't ideal help for lowbies street sweeping. -
so why would anyone judge the viability of a power set combo through 10 levels?

excuse me everyone but at lvl 50, one receives enhancement drops up to lvl 52 but IO recipes only drop up to lvl 50.
Now people can receive purple drops if their character is lvl 47, or at least i thought i once read that.
One thing though..I cannot recall being lvl 22 and receiving recipe drops above that lvl.
Am i wrong?
I know for a fact the recipe drop will drop at the character's current level using AE drops.
So if one wants to stop level progression for recipes, should not one stop at lvl 25 for the chance of receiving LotG? -

I understand the original intent..SG promotion as an official rp ceremony to give a more authentic feel but that sentiment is outdated now.
People can still promote/demote in an online-only ceremonial thingamajig but please give some of us the ability to opt out of such a static function. -

Although I am a nub, I too will throw my 2 cents in if I may.
I am of the mindset that in a team dynamic, the best thing each individual can do to contribute to the success of the team is to play to their strengths.
The need for specific strengths in teammates becomes more apparent as the increase in difficulty rises.
Certain ATs/power set combos excel at different things. While all can contribute to a team, to varying degrees, in one way or another there are certain AT/power set combos that excel at specific tasks.
My advice would be to build your AT/power set combo to enhance it's strengths.
An Ill/Rad, or any controller, in an ideal team setting does not need ranged defense as much as need recharge to get those extremely useful "control" powers back up and running asap.
For the record, in an ideal team you have an individual such as a Tank, drawing aggro to themselves and away from those playing a support role.
I will say as all others do..do whatever you want to do that is fun for you. You're paying a monthly to have fun in the manner you want. -

With respect to teaming.
When I'm the healer/buffer, I do not actively click on a teammate's character in the middle of the fray.
When I'm the healer/buffer..actually whenever I play regardless of AT..I play with the team window open.
When someone needs something, I find their name on the list of teammates & apply the appropriate action. -
Why I want to be tiny?
Umm...I need a tiny toon to match my tiny intellect ;-)
This is purely for the aesthetics.
It would serve no functional purpose other than to put a smile on my face during gameplay.
You shouldn't feel any aggression or dismissiveness towards me.
I'm just a nub & I'm still learning.

I want a tiny scrapper who decimates mobs without being seen.
I want a tiny blaster floating in the air, raining justice down upon the hooligans.
I want my itsy, bitsy MM to truly be dwarfed by his Robots.
