How to disable sonic bubble GFX?

I was wondering how to turn this thing off, I came back after a bit and used to be able to make it disappear by opening an info window, but that no longer works.

I'd prefer not to suppress everything if I don't have to, but I will if that's the only solution.

I'm still not certain how or why they keep making such abrasive graphics, but I get pretty bad headaches and nausea just from playing...so I don't see how they can say they've fixed the problem...

i know they said the graphics for it were working improperly for anything other than the default.

the only option right now is to not use the power until its fixed (although disabled the graphics for it would be nice)

Yea, the default one is the one I'm talking about, and I meant my teammates are using it and making me sick

Your only real option is to turn them all off at this point.

Although I have my distance set at 25.

Doesn't that only suppress if it is my gfx and not allies / teammates?

People asked me to turn off my powers, or kicked me, or asked me to quit.

Prediction: in the coming year or few years, we will have the option to disable most if not all power graphics.

So that means all you who craved a telekinetic-based concept will have one, if only in a visual sense.

Here's a partial fix.

Extract this file into the "data" folder of your CoH directory. If you don't have a "data" folder, create one. You should have a full path under your coh folder of "data\texture_library\FX\SUPER_POWERS\Sonic\" with a file called Sonic_Waveform.texture in it.

This will remove the circling wave pattern from your shield, but only on your computer and only with the default colors. If the Sonic character is using customized colors, it doesn't seem to work.

Hope this helps.

Here's an example screen shot:

Edit: This still has the top to bottom "pulse" on the shield. If desired, I can make another file to remove that.

No, it affects powers cast on your by another as well. I usually have to turn it on when someone casts Fire/Plasma Shield on my characters.

And that's cool StarGeek. I'm going to have to try that. Oddly enough, it's not the circling waveform that bothers me, it's the little motes of colour in the shield that float around.

Ok, then try this one (same instructions as above). It seems to remove nearly all the motes. If you put the two together, the shield is rendered completely invisible.
