I understand the original intent..SG promotion as an official rp ceremony to give a more authentic feel but that sentiment is outdated now.
People can still promote/demote in an online-only ceremonial thingamajig but please give some of us the ability to opt out of such a static function.
this would be a significant QOL improvement.

We want offline invites, promotion and demotion too. Not being able to do so atm is annoying =/

I came to this conclusion by running through a pros & cons list of why such a feature was implemented.

The other part of the request for offline promotion/demotion is the ability (if you have the rights to invite at your level of the SG) to invite other of your own toons. It is annoying that you can't make a proper personal superbase for all your toons without having someone else invite the rest of your toons.
I agree , at least for a SG/ VG with your own toons ( after having someone added them for you ) .
It needs a QoL overhaul, and /signed. Though I never heard of the "RP Reason" before.

Is there any reason why this can't be done in a SG? I found an old thread where there was concern about someone going powermad, but giving the ability to promote and demote players who are offline to the superleader should be a workaround for that.
