    PVP + Procc'ing

You can still one-shot people when you factor procs in. Of course, you won't be doing it except on Fenders/Trollers/Doms with no res shield who have no extra HP, so it won't happen often. On my Elec/WP my AS is slotted 2 Nucs, 1 Dam/End, Mako/Glad Strike/Heca procs. I skimped a bit on the acc because AS has a higher base accuracy and because I didn't want to bottom out on end when I'm spamming it.

    I approve.
  3. My 50s are never really "done," they just go into reserve for when I decide I'll want/need them. Of course, that means many aren't enhanced at all and haven't been played at all since they hit 50, but they're there if I decide I want to use them for something.
  4. Could always just do the sensible thing: report the post if it hasn't been already, and post in a different thread in the same subforum in order to bump the offending thread off the main page of the forums.

EDIT: Alternately, they could go back to what they used to do a long time ago (I think) and have each new forum registration require manual approval.

I can never understand why people misinterpret statements that I am making about myself. I don't run Posi (even the old one) for merits - I run it once for TFC and am done with it. Same with most badge-giving content, actually...

BS has the same 5% crit chance as attacks from other sets. Only Headsplitter has a higher chance (15% I think), and the range on that is 10 feet (melee base is 7 feet, KO Blow is 15). Not sure I'd go with the Fire epic on a Scrapper because someone with -tohit is going to wreck you unless you've got FA.

    Taunt yes, Parry no.
  7. I think I've only ever deleted a few characters over level 30 (and only one 50, but that was because it hadn't even been slotted I could get a replacement to 50 suitably fast so as to not really miss it). Usually I delete characters that I have little prospect of ever getting to 50 because they're not useful for what I'm doing.

If the AE is really designed for story-telling, then it should be obvious that a 1 mission arc isn't telling a story.
I, honestly, don't think any XP should be rewarded for a 1 mission arc; it isn't an arc - it's just one mission. One mission arcs are going to be primarily farming arcs as anyone that wants to tell a story is going to have more than one mission in their arc (especially now that these can be much larger files than they once were).
In order to promote story-telling, I think that there should be an XP Curve where a 5 mission arc grants full XP and XP decreases as arcs get shorter. As I said, I don't think one mission arcs deserve any xp at all - as it is not a story; it's just one mission.
I fully support this idea, but only if they make all paper/radio missions and not-in-an-arc contact missions worth no XP as well. I mean, it's only fair, right?

Accelerate metabolism and solo vigilance are 55% damage buffing as it is. Aim isn't useless, but it's definitely less useful for this particular build than it is for others.
While it's true that the time spent using Amplify is time that could have been spent using another attack (Shriek, in this case, as its 1.0-second animation is closest to Amplify's 1.17-second animation), you're putting out more damage during Amplify's ten-second window than you would be if you had just been using attacks instead. Basically you're trading one attack's worth of -res (-13% res for 5 seconds, if used by a Blaster, which is enough to fit in two or three attacks) for several damage-boosted attacks. Amplify's 62.5% damage bonus (again, Blaster numbers here) is significantly more powerful than the -res generated by the one attack you'd have used during its activation time, not to mention +dam isn't resisted, whereas -res sometimes is. For example, if your target has 30% resistance to all damage, that -13% res is reduced to something like -9%. Meanwhile, if you have a 62.5% damage buff, you'll still have that damage buff no matter what resistance your target has.

...How do you figure? You're already stacking -res on a target, so any damage buffs will be even more effective than with a primary that doesn't debuff resistance. Let's say you've got a target at -20% res just through your Sonic attacks, and then you throw a 50% damage bonus on top of that (I know that's not what Amplify's bonus is, but it makes for easier math). You'll be doing quite a bit more damage on a target than would someone whose target was at 0% resistance.
  11. Leechers are only a little bit (sarcasm there) more annoying now that the zone population caps at 50.

I don't care how good the missions are. If I'm not getting rewards comparable to other content I could be doing, I'm not going to bother running it more than once or twice as needed.

  14. I almost never exemplar for any reason except one-off flashback arcs for accolade badges and task forces for the TFC accolade. Even when I do, I've got teammates that usually more than make up for the loss of set bonuses and powers I'm taking.
  15. Fly is a really really really bad travel power for a PvP Stalker. At a minimum you need Super Speed and you'd want at least Combat Jumping on top of that. You don't need both Hibernate and Phase. Actually, that build as a whole is just really bad. No Dull Pain? No Tactics? Energy Punch instead of Barrage? ...

    1. No one takes the holds because they're garbage.
    2. Ice's "high single-target damage" only applies in PvE where damage isn't based off activation time. Since it's a fast-activating set it gets screwed in PvP.
    3. Ice Blast cannot stack enough -rech on its own to be worthwhile.

If you're dead-set on PvPing with an Ice Blast character, proc it up and go for it but just know almost every other set will be better with the same investment.
  17. 1. Which secondary is best depends on what you're looking to do. Ninjitsu isn't really a "full defense set" like SR because it has some tricks (a self-heal, a PBAoE placate, Caltrops), whereas SR relies entirely on its defense for mitigation. Regeneration is a good secondary, as is Willpower. I'd steer away from Dark Armor and Elec Armor.

    2. Criticals - if you're hidden you're guaranteed to crit with single-target attacks, and have a 50% chance to crit with AoE attacks. If you're out of hide, you have a 10% chance to crit with any attack. That 10% increases by 3 points for each teammate within a 300 foot (?) range, up to a maximum of 21 points (3x7 = 21) so on a full team you'd be looking at almost a 1/3 crit rate when out of hide. Additionally, you have a chance to do critical damage when out of hide to any target that is held or slept. Very rarely, when parts of more than one of these conditions is met, an attack can crit more than once (unless they fixed that).
  18. You can still get the damage badges in the space of one or two nights if you know what you're doing. I don't see why this is a big deal, especially since the requirement for Born in Battle was lowered in I16.
  19. Woah, a patch that actually has PvP fixes.
  20. Stone used to be okay before I13, but the DPA changes kinda wrecked it.

I haven't respec'd my SS/Fires out of Leviathan yet because I'm too damn lazy, but when I get back into doing serious farming/PLing I certainly will be taking them back to Mu Mastery.

I mean, yeah, when you can kill 200 enemies at once with a cone power because you can fit that many into its area of effect and it doesn't have a target cap, that's great. But once you can't do something like that, a cone power becomes really bad because you have to maneuver to line it up for the best effectiveness.

    MM noob here

Leave them in BG mode. If you call them back into BG mode after them being in aggressive or something, they won't always fire back right away when you take damage.
