  1. You can hold as much inf as you have market slots. Just bid 2 billion inf on an item that will never exist (like level 1 Hami-O's or level 53 LotGs). Problem solved!
  2. Out of curiousity, which is looked at more: in-game bug reports, or those filed via the proper threads on these forums? Or are they reviewed equally (seems to me in-game reports would be harder to sort through due to the larger number).

on the subject... if DR is on, more ATs can be competitive in 8v8 matches

    [/ QUOTE ]
If there were enough people interested, maybe the ladder could go back to 8v8 matches again. I don't think that will happen though. Maaaaaaybe 6v6.

I'm pretty sure debuffs don't break TK, at least it didn't break after DP.

edit: also reported. Get bant noob

Only damage will break TK, I believe. Toggling on your Rad debuffs won't do anything (but even then it's what, a six-second window).
  5. Scourge > almost anything a Defender brings to the table.
  6. Nope. For the most part procs are 20% chances to fire, except purple procs which are 33% and PvP procs which are 30% against players (standard 20% against critters). For some reason the ToD is the only (?) damage proc to have a 15% chance to fire. Perhaps this is because at the time IOs debuted it was the only proc that was one of the less resisted damage types (the rest are smashing, lethal, and psionic, which are fairly widely resisted in the PvE game).
  7. An important thing to note: factored out over time, the Performance Shifter proc works out to about 12% extra recovery, which is slightly higher than the 10% offered by the Numina unique and a bit lower than the 15% offered by the Miracle unique - so in terms of cost it's very worthwhile. I picked up a few of the +end procs heroside for very cheap when the "Meow" craze was at its peak. However keep in mind that the +end proc is not as reliable as a steady +recovery buff would be.
  8. They're two separate "set bonus" powers so I would assume they would. Might be a fun trick in powers like Whirling Sword or Irradiate.

Taking a look at this, I'm not sure it'd be worth slotting into Hot Feet given how procs work in that power - but slotting it in Foot Stomp might have some merit.

People laughed when I promised pre release that a few of them were 500 mil + apiece guaranteed.

I seem to remember DC promising me that if people paid over 250M for single IOs he'd buy me some. I may have to hunt down that chat log.

(The discussion was in relation to purples, but hey, I don't think he specified.)

No I'm pretty sure he said PvP IO's were never going to be that expensive because people could farm them easily. Well, people are farming them now (I guarantee that's where the majority of the supply comes from), but prices are still really high on many of the pieces. I'm not complaining though, they've made me rich.
  10. My Therm's got 12 points of protection from IO's (gets DR'd of course but then again so does KB slotting in KB powers) and I can count on one hand the number of times I've been KB'd, almost every time from Levitate or Lift. I've noticed that the number of Mind Trollers in RV isn't high enough to really merit building a lot of protection just to stop one power - if it were an arena build I'd certainly build for more if I could, but I've found KB to be rare enough in zones. The final build for my Therm calls for I think 20 points of protection (he's running on generic IOs right now except for the -KB IOs), but again that's a zone build.

It's certainly more competitive and less reliant on builds than it is on strategy and skill.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Actually that's exactly the opposite of what happened with the changes. New PvP is less diverse (buffs, debuffs, and heals are largely worthless, and the only thing that really matters anymore is damage) and requires much less skill.
  12. I don't have it on m Rad/Therm because I needed to drop something to have the Phase/Hiber combo (I do mostly Freedom RV, and using Hib on a squishy is a death sentence there unless you also have Phase). Wish I had room, the hold resistance is nice.

    Stalker Primary

Ripper is bad with the post I13 damage rules. Don't take it.
  14. Rad/Sonic is still a viable PvP build - it was one of the best dueling builds in the game before I13. The I13 changes hit Rad (and Defenders in general, thanks to the removal of unresisted debuffs) pretty hard but Sonic is still one of the top blast sets. Just be prepared to get detoggled quite a bit.

Since you don't have Mids, I can't give you a build (you could try downloading a trial of Parallels or VMWare, if you have a copy of Windows, and run a virtual machine to run Mids on your Mac - it's what I do). However, I can say that as a Rad/Son you should be building around set bonuses that give +HP, +damage, and +recharge, in that order (some might argue +dam is more important than +HP but it's a matter of taste).

Power Mastery is still probably the top choice for Rad because you can use PBU to boost the +tohit in Aim (on top of the additional tohit buff PBU gives), the -def and -tohit from Radiation Infection (for the duration of PBU), the +speed and mez resists in Accelerate Metabolism, the -speed in Lingering Radiation, and the stun duration of Screech and Total Focus. On top of that, PBU offers an 80% damage boost. For dueling at least, Power Mastery offers Total Focus, which when used while your toggles are up and after you've hit the target with an attack chain or two, can really hurt. You'll want to be careful about using TF in zones though, because Stalkers will be on top of you in a second.

You could make Psi Mastery work as well, though I don't recall seeing a Rad/Sonic with that epic.
  15. It does and they probably are.

Edit: You've got me wondering now... I know it's a 20% res debuff, but I can't seem to find the chance to proc. If it's the same as other PvP procs it'd be 30% against player targets and 20% against PvE targets. The Achilles Heel -res proc is also 20%, so I suppose that'd make sense here as well.

    Good luck, and thank you!

Also, make sure you don't leave anything in the market that you don't want to lose.

    [/ QUOTE ]
As long as you keep your subscription active, items in the market will no longer be deleted after 60 days (as of I14).

    Good luck and godspeed!
  17. What AT are you looking to try out? Solo or teamed, zone or arena?

    Wormhole?

/t @Nive, mermie never uses her wormhole but she told us not to tell you so let's be hush hush about it
  19. The Shield/SS could work decently. As far as Tankers go you're better off with Fire/SS or Inv/SS though.
  20. They redid PvP in I13 and it's pretty bad compared to the old system. Go look at the I13 (and I14) patch notes to find out what changes have been made, there are too many and they're too confusing to list here.

What characters do you have that you'd like to try PvP with? There's a chance at least some of them could be made workable.
  21. Stalkers are "easy mode" in that it's very easy to choose when and who to attack with little fear of being attacked first. The main advantage to having lots of stealth is being able to pick your fights relatively safely. While getting off an AS with the new travel suppression rules is easier than it was in I12, actually getting a kill on a full HP target is much more difficult due to DR, base resistances, and the nerfing of AS's damage scale (think it went from 6x to 2x). At least AS does more damage in I14 than it did in I13 thanks to the crit portion no longer being resisted.
  22. I took Grant Invis and Combat Jumping on my Warshade to slot LotGs - I was going for permahasten and every bit of recharge I could get was getting me further to that goal.
  23. Even slotted enhancements are subject to DR (part of the reason self-heals don't heal for as much in a DR-on environment).
