Or just not allow you to purchase Insp that you aren't able to use.

Quote:You should keep everything you paid for. If you paid for GR, you'll still have it. Costumes that you paid for, you keep. Same with power sets. Free (Premium) accounts get two slots that you can assign to any slot on any server, with a character or empty. And as a Premium player how much of what you've paid for do you keep? (character slots, costumes, powersets, GR, etc)
I think the wiki does a pretty good job of explaining what goes with each tier of each reward. It should tell you what you get, although you might have to read what the higher tiers get so you understand what the lower tiers are missing.

I'd recommend looking into VIP and Incarnate Trials, because those basically are the post 50 content. However there's some level 50 raids in game, those are available.
And you can also "shoot" for whatever IOs you want. Collect merits from any TFs and buy the recipes from a merit vendor. Yes, we don't have random drops of recipes at the end of TF any more, you just buy what you want. At level 50, and esp. the Rogue will have your pick of TF/SF. Look into the Weekly Strike Target too.
There's even a faster route called "Tip Mission" which yeild Alignment Merits which buy even better stuff. Since you have a Rogue, you have access to the Alignment Merit system. Have your Hero look into doing some Tips. (A rogue or vigilante can't get Alignment Merits. Heroes and Villains only.)
Dunno about the Elite Boss thing. Check your difficulty setting at a Fateweaver. -
Right, if by "raids" you mean base-raids, then not happening.
PvE raids happen frequently, get on your servers global channels for those. Ask in your server forum (here on these forums) which global channels are best. -
Lastly ... is your hardware ok? Are you sure your keyboard / space bar isn't intermittent or something like that? Because if your space bar "bounces" when you try to jump, the game is going to see a press & release, and it'll cut your jump short, and you can't jump again until you hit the ground.
(I assume you know to hold the space bar down until your jump peaks, since you have 50's and combat jumping, which is a good jump primer.) -
There's a Snowbeast pet you get for doing the various winter trials. It fights and it's a decent pet.
The Mini-Snowbeast you get for 160 points is different. As others have said, the Mini is just a vanity pet. Don't confuse the two. If you saw a Snowbeast fighting, it wasn't the store bought one. -
I'm confused here, how did you become Premium?
Did you sign up for the monthly subscription or did you just make a purchase in the store of few things? -
Log into what you are SURE is your current account on the NC Soft store (here, not in game). Double check that it has all the history of purchases there, not just one. If all the history is there and you see the subscription listed too (should be a 3 month plan, with a listed renewal date) then you're good.
If you some how applied the change to a different account (maybe a free one you had laying around)? Then yes quick quick cancel and hope you don't get charged.
It sounds like you were "premium" because you had canceled, even though your sub hadn't run out yet. Possibly just a text error on the webpage, since you still seem to be premium now. As long as your account info looks OK, I'd assume it's just the web page with a less than 100% accurate message and let it renew on its own. -
Not sure, but I think it's:
1. Getting the winter stuff without having to grind for it.
2. Moving candy canes around to lower level toons easier than one at a time through email.
That's basically why I'm doing it anyway. Send several emails with 10,000,000 inf. A lower level toon grabs one email, buys a bunch of candy canes, and voila, I have what I need "transferred" to that toon.
Anyone who doesn't want to purchase the winter holiday pack but wants the costume parts would be attracted to this method. -
Quote:Thanks for info and offers of help, everyone.
200,000 for a candy cane? Hmmm.... maybe I should just sell them for billions of inf. I have like 1,000.
1,000 x 200,000 inf = 200,000,000, or a bit less than 200 million after market fees. And if you want them to sell, I'd price them around 170k, just so they actually will sell. Repurchase at around 135k ... assuming prices haven't dropped to less. That's about where things were earlier this week. -
Note the freebie has to be Tier 2 to trade, so a freebie account wouldn't actually work. For $5 though you could have a permanent mule character though, at least on two servers anyway.
Edit: and to be less negative, I just emailed money from one toon to another and bought them. Sell on one toon for a decent price, try to buy on the other toon for a bit less. Might end up with more candy canes than you started.
Candy canes are currently selling for 200k to 130k on the market. If you're patient and willing to "buy low and sell dear" you should be able to do it fairly easily. Don't wait beyond the Winter Event though because prices will probably spike up and then your inf won't be worth as much. -
Yeah the "quantity" thing there is basically wrong. You can't buy more than 1 unlock, and it unlocks for as many as you want to make. I guess the "quantity" part just appears for every item whether they need it or not.

According to Paragon Wiki, it's currently Eden / Ice Mistral. The wiki folk keep a schedule of WST on the front page:

If the global channels haven't changed, just means someone hasn't got around to updating them yet. -
Quote:Are you sure? I'm pretty sure that I got a bonus reward token the first time I bought extra Paragon Points, and that was a while after Freedom launched, on an account that had been subbed for years.
The way I understood it to work was that the Tier 2 was basically your extra token, the one you got from any purchase, and so anyone who progressed beyond that level would already have it. However you, Aggelakis and the Wiki are all saying you get a further, extra token from a first purchase of points, so perhaps I'm mistaken.
I tell ya, the rewards are nice, but they sure are complicated. I kinda wish it was more straight forward. -
Points can only be bought in increments of $5, $20, $50 and $100, iirc.
-
Also any EATs or VEATs are restricted too. So is the auction house and the architect entertainment. There might be some other stuff too, depending on your reward level.
Generally, you want to hop on a global channel to get teams. Pop over to the Freedom and Virtue forums (here on these forums) and ask what are the good channels to join.
When you drop to free, you get two character slots. That's two period, not two per server. So make sure to pick your best toon and best server.
Since you are a VIP now, you'll get 1 free transfer token per month, and those are permanent until you use them, even if you drop to free. So by March you should have three of them, to transfer toons to whatever server you play most.
You should also have 1200 points to spend from your VIP status by March. You could buy some licenses from the store (I'd say IOs and Auction House, but sounds like you might not be interested). Or you could just spend the points on goodies like costumes or power sets. -
Stand by Ms. Liberty and try to join a "DFB." Those happen pretty frequently.
I don't know about Freedom or Virtue specifically, but as mentioned the global channels are currently where all the teaming action is at. Some free players have access to those, some don't. Look into your Paragon Rewards in game, it'll tell you. I think your tier has to be 3 or higher (that's 5 paragon reward points, iirc).
Otherwise, the Help channel is your best bet, as it's server wide. -
Not quite. If he has a controller from long ago, then he probably has at least one retail box code and a few months of play time. So he should already have the bonus token.
It's not really "first purchase" its the transition from completely free to having paid for anything at all, at any time, including before Freedom launched. All old accounts are really Premium accounts, they aren't what the devs call "Free" accounts. Even though a lot of players call their premium accounts "free."
I think the points about checking your current reward tokens is a good one. Planning a little ahead is a good idea, and will save you some dough. Playing a dominator instead is also a good idea.
Finally, look into getting a license if you want to play, but are cash constrained. For about $4 per month, you can get a license for Inventions and for the Auction House (each is $2 per month). This gives you a lot more flexibility in playing the game, especially as you move up into levels 30+ where IO start to become very practical.
It all really depends on what you want. Think you'll only play for one month? $15 will get you everything for that one month. Want to be able to come back to the controller? The unlock is permanent. Plan on playing casually a lot off and on? A $50 purchase will net you 3 tokens, so if you're close to 13 reward tokens, this will unlock controllers with out having to pay anything extra, plus give you lots of points for licenses, and goodies like costumes or new power sets.
Kinda depends where you want to go eventually. -
It might be a bug, but having had a pretty good "worm's eye view" of the earlier trials, the voids seemed to always work that way. It may be a bug, but I don't think it's changed.
What is going on is that the voids have a low "fear" threshold. Once they take a little damage, they scatter, and run away as far as possible. Occasionally one comes back on its own, but I think that might be some "group AI" or something sending one guy into melee range. It's pretty consistently one.
So the question is, WAI, or not? I think the voids can be held. If so, then that's likely the secret. Don't taunt them, get the controllers to work on 'em. You'll have to wait until they get close to Penelope, the boom, stick 'em down and beat them up. -
Just to be very strictly accurate, I think there's two teams involved here. One team is in Seattle, and the other is the operations team in Austin that maintains the servers.
Last time we had a forum slip, it was the team in Austin that got busy with some Lineage stuff and didn't have the time to install the forum software. It could easily be an issue with Austin again (esp. with the recent F2P Lineage), not Seattle.
This doesn't make me feel better, I'd like to see the forums fixed up too. But it is just a wee bit unfair to automatically blame Seattle when there's at least one other group involved here. There's also the fact that Lineage is probably paying 80% to 90% of the bills for NC Soft, so personally I'm just happy that NC Soft has decided to keep Paragon Studios around at all. -
How were you going to let your account "lapse?" The only way to do that is cancel it. Which you waited to do less than 24 hours before the payment was due.
No not a lot of sympathy. Gotta get stuff done early, be proactive. Waiting until the last minute is exactly why stuff like this happens. Even a completely computerized system might need 24 hours to synch up with other systems and process a request or change in account status.
Frankly 5 business days is a common courtesy, minimum, when giving someone some sort of notice. -
Quote:Same. In general, I hate getting every PPD contact who is inside the station. I hate having to go through those doors every time,.
Quote:I have a similar, though less extensive reaction with the first Brokers there.... Drea? He's at the far end of nowhere, and you can either swim to him, or run the long way through enemy-thick territory.
And same again. I don't think the game would loose anything if the number of brokers/detectives in each zone were reduced to 1, and placed in an easy to reach and sensible location. -

Quote:Character Creation/Tailor
- Fixed a bug preventing costumes from being tailored if the character had Epic Mace Mastery and a weapon powerset.
Yay! I haven't tested this yet, but my Robotics/FF/Mace Mastermind should be very happy now!
Aside: my costume colors seem to be randomly choosing either SG mode or non-SG mode each time I zone. As bugs go, I can totally live with this one, as long as nothing else randomly switches (trays, colors, pets, etc.) it's fine. -
With the forums scheduled to be down today, and the new live publish today, I was wondering if the CR team would sign into Ustream today to keep us appraised of any issues for either project (live or forums).
Just a thought, and I realize we made it through the last forum downtime OK, but I thought it might be useful to have the stream up if any announcements did need to be made.
OK back to work-like activities...
