There's no way to pay for less than $5 worth of points, right?
nope, the min amount is $5 worth, but at least you can save them for future stuff if you have leftovers

Points can only be bought in increments of $5, $20, $50 and $100, iirc.
Darn, that's what I thought, but I was hoping I was wrong.
Thanks though, guys.

For the smell of it:
In the basic retail world, $5 is the minimum for credit/debit transactions and has something to do with the fees that have to be paid per transaction by the company.

$5 is just a nice low "round" number price point that they set -- I doubt there's any deep, mystical significance to the number (other companies use similar ones).

Dunno when they went up, but 2 char slots are currently on sale for 400 points, so I think that solves your dilema.

Yep, as of this morning, character slots are half price: 240 for one, 400 for two, 800 for 5 for the next week.

Not that she needs it, but I'll back up Agge on this. I work in the industry, and not only hasn't this been true for a long time, with the recent Dodd-Frank legislation, interchange income has been turned on its head, so all bets are off now.

Basically, see as above. I want to grab an extra server slot for my second account, which has 400 points stored, but don't really have anything else I want to do with 'em at the moment. There isn't some clever method to just pay my dollar, is there?
