Just need to get the rest of the people I know to add stuff now, otherwise there are going to be a few supergroups with really low numbers :P

tankers, war mace = teh suck

I'll second that one.
I like the powerset but it is really hard to work in pvp (well for me anyway). -
Far to much stuff to transfer over :P
Started working on Mercy Knight,Astral Viper ,and the villain sg..
Did not realise how many chars were in the GC 'till I started inputing the members..Only done a fwe so far, need to re-check our roster again.
Then its Freelance Felines -
I have so far managed to ingore most of wentworths..Though I think I now have all the selling badges, I like to think that my selling stuff for allmost nothing makes some one happy when they get what ever random bit of junk it is they are after for so little.
Personaly I have no value for most the stuff, If I can get it in a drop then why pay for it? -

whats the style on defiant?
[/ QUOTE ]
A bit more "must win at all costs" which means more FOTM toons. On union I find people more willing to give other builds a try, even PVE specced ones.
[/ QUOTE ]
lol that was exactly what I was going to say about Union ,espeacily after the grief I got with my ice/mace tank in SC the other day (normal standard pve build..hel have not even slotted it well for pve yet).
I found pvp on defiant friendlier, with less insulting and more people able to understand its about everyone having fun.
I am guessing that in truth both zones are the same in truth. -
Sometimes joining an existing supergroup can seem a little daunting, or just not work out.
I've joined several groups in the past which though thay had fantastic people in them, did not (at the time) offer the sense of support and unity that I wanted out of a SG.
Starting my own supergroups, let me recruit people I was teaming with at the time, creating a group of people of similar levels who played together.
Then whenever I recruited new people I would create a new alt and start from scratch, that way the new members dont feel like the are just prestige cows, and actually get to team with the super group.
Staring a new SG does give you the fun of making a new base, which allthough is limited can produce some nice looking bases (lets be honest they are useless..only use my personal base on defiant for storage..even took out the teleporters as I never used them). -
Stone Crow remains on life support after sustaining critical wounds when he attacked a Rikti dropship that was in a bombing run that endangered the hospital he is now a patient of.
He was seen to launch himself at the Dropsip waving a bit of torn paper while shouting
"Am Rock, against Rikti!"
It is known that Stone Crow was unable to read or write due to the horrible injuries he suffered in the accident that granted him his powers, and though we cannot confirm this it is believed that he had mis-understood a flyer advertising the ""Rock against Rikti"" concert being organised the Unity Vigil group.
Though a pety criminal, Stone Crow was an honest and loyal individual who fled to the Rogue isles after suffering his accident and being shunned by those who knew him.
Oddly for a villain he was fascinated with Paragon city and its hero population, even going as far as to call himself a hero and trying to organise community events. -

A letter of petition requesting that certain heroes be confined to base or removed from the war-zone was publicaly submitted by the Vanir hero Spurr, requesting that the two young heroes known as Faultline and Fussionette be removed from the warzone and restricted to defending other areas.
The letter was sent to Vanguard command, Longbow command, and the united nations.
It comments that their lack of training and common sense has led them to become a major drain on resources, their ability to get themselves captured makes them a major security risk and endangers the lives of other heroes who must be re-tasked to rescue them.
Their continues presence in the war-zone will lead to more fatalities.

Strictly IC knowledge, you know, stuff like character profiles that can be found in official records, past plots, present plots, community-wide plots, villaingroups, herogroups, known clubs, bars, past events, current events; literally a place to store all IC information from our little RP community.
[/ QUOTE ]
Um, isn't that technically what this part of the boards is for?
Don't forget that any attempt to collate all the RP information is only as complete as far as the knowledge of those that contribute to it. For example, I go to Galaxy Girl, but I don't contribute to the wiki. I don't often say much about what happens to my characters on these boards. I'm sure there's a whole load of RPers out there that don't even frequent the boards...
Now before I get told that I'm negative/elitist/horrible/stamping down on ideas/evil etc., I'd like to say that I'm NOT saying "you can't do this", nor am I saying "you shouldn't do this". What I am saying is that if you do decide to do this, don't expect everyone to: A) contribute or B) be aware of the information on it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Aye, I think I'm the only one from my groups who really lurks on the forums, certainly I have not seen anyone post here...Saying that I think Dark Fall posted once..About a year ago :P
I'm more than happy to include our take on whats happening in the world -
Purchased one of these for my heroes SG on defiant, its a bit small and just grants you base access to the storage room in the vaults Not giving you extra storage which was a downer.
So I assume you can only have one in a base then? -

Last night i was bored and me and my MM friend decided to have a duel for fun. He is a bots/dark MM and i found it impossible to take him out, or barely hurt him. He just laid tar patch down, sat in BGM and waited. If it tried to AS him it did nothing, tried to AS minions the rest tore me apart. So any advice on how to take out MMs in general or do i just need a more pvp oriented build? as in tp foe?
[/ QUOTE ]
1: Dont let your enemy pick the site of battle.
2: KB is your friend when fighting MMS
3:Minions are dumb, if you can stun/diss/mezz/hold the MM you can lure the minions away and then come back and finish him off.
4:Teleport foe is handy against enemy who like to dig themselves in, If you use it to drop them from height its even funnier.
5: Lure a tough (but not to tough) enemy into his minions, then while they scuttle off to take down the threat, drop the mm..Also good for getting rid of traps. -

[/ QUOTE ]
Heh just what i was going to say. But i think a fun blaster depends on what you like. I didn't like ice that much and fire is so-so. But with the great sound fx Sonic is really cool set to play. But some players found these fxs annoying but i think they are an afrodisiac for my hero. I can't wait for my powers to recharge, not because i want to hit bad guys but i want to hear that sounds (he is lvl 14 and still scream has the best one IMO).
For secondary i choose Electric just for Power Sink.
[/ QUOTE ]
Shriek is my favourite, personaly I think we could do with some more bass heavy FX..... Perhaps if they added something like the base wurbly noise from some of the grav effects in FF7 to Direwail..That would be cool -

**Throwing a data disc onto the table, Mery Knight drops into buisness**
"The gotterdämmerung company, has a roster of 20 meta humans we are willing to allocate to this security crisis. The majority of our forces will remain in the isles to combat the Rikti insurgancy there, I shall make it clear now that none of those forces will engage in humanitarian efforts without orders from myself or another designated officer of the gotterdämmerung.
As an avatar of mercy, I will openly work in the war zone as well as offering support to those who need aid.
For this crisis I shall extend my aid to all, rather than just those who are deserving...Even Longbow.
Our standard security agents are all being equiped with energised kintetic weapons, similar to conventional firearms except they utilise a depleted uranium projectile encased within a high yield energy packet derived from Rikti plasma weapons.
These agents can be placed where needed to support more militarily minded forces, they aer also being used to support security at sites I have designated useful in a logistical nature." -
**The truly resplendent armoured figure of Mercy Knight saunters into room, and looks at the gathered freaks and capes. Silently he stands listening to the others , his face expressionless except for the disdainful turn to his smile.
Spotting Big Lunk, he frowns slightly and raises an eyebrow in suprise before speaking, his soft accentless voice dripping with sarcasm**
"Has anyone else noticed that there are aweful lot of Rikti wandering around these days?
Oh And Lunk, I thought you were dead?" -
I've seen a few rpsgs die off, and the one thing that has finished them off has been a combination of player fatigue and tech problems.
An idea I have been playing around with is having a set down time period for the rpsgs, literaly a period of a month or so where the rpsg is put on hold to give the players time to do other stuff and recharge their enthusiasm/batteries.
That should reduce some of the player fatigue for us at least.
Another thing I guess is making sure all the players are on the same page when it comes to the rpsg and what its for, is it a static role-play group or a role-play while doing missions one, a couple of the groups I was in fell foul of this not being explained enough, and people got quite annoyed when the game-play slowed down while some of us were in fantastic IC conversations.
Inclusion is important, make sure everyone feels that they are part of the group..And though I dislike the idea of pre-written characters or preselected ATs, quite often if a player choose the wrong AT for the group they can really end up feeling left out or pointless..Espeacily if the group playstyle does not accomodate how they work.
(Scout types usually have this problem from what I have seen, its all to easy to just roll the mobs rather than letting a scout nip ahead and map the enemies).
And bring in new blood if possible.
With our villain group we managed to bring a few people over to role-playing just by letting non-roleplayers in our team when mission running, we let them know what we were up to before hand and everyone seemed ok with it. -

I know this may be frowned upon but...
Before I9 i want to get some more influence so i can afford all the new IO's etc, and the auction house. I just want to spend a few hours doing lvl 52's / 53's to get some Inf for it.
I want to get a good team together and people can sign up here or send me a tell in game (@Hidden Healer).

What time/day you planning on getting your team together? -
My altitis killed off my roleplaying on defiant, though at one time we did have a supergroup of 20odd roleplayers meeting quite often on defiant (twice a week for pre-arranged meetings).
There are a few there, but it does not help that some people get really offencive about it if they find you rping on defiant as its not the "roleplay server" even though this game does not have a split in server type..
SAddly everyone I knew from my RP groups on defiant have left the game now, and i dont spend as much time as I could on here anymore either. -
I had a stone/FA and it was awesome, compared to the other brutes in my VG when fully raged I was out damaging them by a huge margin. It can be slow but with brawl and a vet pick to pad out your attack chain its not to bad.
The Strikedown/KB added to survivability too. -
How did it go last night? I tried to make it but forgot I had to get ready to crew a LRP event this weekend..And before I could prod people from the Infinity Foundation, or DefConOne I crashed

Hi (new to the boards so excuse my limited knowlage)
What exactly is the 'Hero Among Us' plot? Because I havent heard a thing about it
Also (this would be the limited knowlage bit) what does OCC stand for?
[/ QUOTE ]
Hi and welcome
OOC or OOc means Out Of Character, its used along side the IC or In Character tag.
So if you say it, its OOC.
If your character says it ,it is IC.
Its also handy to to add to things posted in here so people can tell if its something their characters might encounter/know IC as opposed to usualy forum stuff.
