I don't know how much you can put, but as it counted as storage item (like insp or enhancement ones) it can be.
It is kinda useless and too costy for my taste. I put one into my base, but as i have Pocket D teleporter reaching vault in there is easier for me.
Still nice to have one in base for non pD teleporter members.

Hmm i think Adhara was telling something like that one of our teamings. But as i don't look around too much in base (only getting created enhancies from the storage) or don't try to build things for the base, i didn't noticed.
But still i prefer Kings+FF combination. God bless Pocket D. 
Indeed, all it does is give access to the personal storage.
So adding more then one would be a waste of space and storage possibilities (like enhancements or insps)
I prefer my base for crafting...
Cap Au Diable or Kings Row and Talos give good accessibility between base portal and auction houses.

If you have nothing useful to say, you have two choices: Say something useless or stay quiet.
The base vault handy for quick access to your salvage, and if placed beside an invention desk, saves lots of running about
And as you can access your base from most zones, means you never to far away from your vault if your base has one installed

Steel is so laggy for me. So i prefer Kings for WW and nearly empty Universities of Croatoa and Founders Fall.
Purchased one of these for my heroes SG on defiant, its a bit small and just grants you base access to the storage room in the vaults Not giving you extra storage which was a downer.
So I assume you can only have one in a base then?
