  1. I just tanked a STF with my inv/ss tank. Didn't need unstoppable with the emp on me with Recluse. Although I accidentally hit unstoppable by mistake, but managed to survive the crash anyway.

I had always been under the impression that you needed a stone tank to tank Recluse. I'm happy I was proved wrong.
  2. Yeah, I ran an STF with my inv/ss tank, got my rare, created it and slotted it just before leaving the last mission after the TF was over.

The team then decided to run a LGTF. We couldn't get past the first group of Rikti before being mapserved. This happened twice. Not only that but our team was split into two or more teams. Someone managed to fail the first mission, but on the second mission same thing. We kept getting mapserved.

After leaving the TF I was able to run two of Gaussian's missions just fine.
  3. I have never deleted any 50's. The closest I've come is to remove all the enhancements from a fire/kin 50 and then unsubscribed my second account. He's still there, in theory, but not in any form that would be enjoyable to play.
  4. All of the various Detectives are cultural references to every detective tv show.

    Epic. Fail.

    I guess bouncing doesn't count...

Yeah even stone tanks with Granite need help. Did you have a dedicated Emp healer on you keeping you alive while the towers were taken out? If not than you were doomed to fail no matter what kind of build you have as far as I can tell.

It comes down to can your build survive with a dedicated healer on you? Not can you tank Recluse by yourself. Because I don't think you can.

Yeah, when I added an end reduction SO in each attack (and also in Weave and Tough), my end problems pretty much went away. Knockout Blow was the one that was really draining endurance big time until I put the end reduction in it.

Willpower seems like a pretty good set as it has damage resistance, defense and also regen and recovery all rolled into one.

And also Tough and Weave are fantastic tools.

I figured it was a combo of the end cost for Tough and Weave plus Rage crashing (I tend to have Rage on auto).

Without Rage or without Tough and Weave running it's much more manageable. I plan on getting Physical Perfection which should help. Plus once I get the toon slotted with sets it should help as well.

My brother has a stone tank and he wondered about Tough and Weave. I figured while in Granite form that it was not that important, but out of Granite it would be important.
  10. I have to say that until very recently I have eschewed taking Tough and Weave. I guess I didn't understand the benefit and didn't want to get stuck with Boxing as I have always preferred Air Superiority.

But after reading the Tanker forums with everyone and their brother's builds all having Tough and Weave and hearing the benefits, I broke down and respecced two of my tankers to include these two powers.

With the level 50 Invuln/SS tank I only had trouble with some Rikti War Zone missions as I was set to 6 people. The only time I ran into problems was with the Mentalists who, being psychic, were able to get through my defenses.

My level 29 WP/SS tank really tested out the new build in the Ray Cooling arc, specifically the last one. As I was taking on the Zeus Titan solo I noticed my health bar really didn't move at all. My endurance was another matter and I was sucking wind through out the entire fight.

I thought to myself that I'm doing so well, let's drop Tough and Weave to save some endurance. Then I noticed my health starting to go down. I quickly turned Tough and Weave back on and my health started to go back up to max.

So I really have to say that I am now a total convert of Tough and Weave. I'm still severely missing my beloved Air Superiority but will have to accept the loss.

Still can't figure out why my endurance sucks as I have both Quick Recovery and Stamina, each 3 slotted with end modification. I should not have been sucking wind that badly.
  11. Use your number pad for your attacks.
  12. Kind of sounds like when I took my DM/SR scrapper on the ITF. I could not stay alive at all. It was like I was totally defenseless.

    The best?

Remember that Quick Recovery gives better bonuses than Stamina. Having lots of end recovery allows you to keep attacking as much as you want. I always take Quick Recovery as early as I can because I am greedy for +Recovery.
  14. For my Inv/SS tank I went with the Cardiac end reduction/dam res boost as I was having endurance problems.

I like the uncommon boost as it keeps me from sucking wind as I attack and helps with damage resistance. So I can attack like a scrapper and still be more survivable. I'm looking forward to the rare and very rare boosts.
  15. I normally get at least 8-10 shards on an ITF run. Last night only got 5.

My highest shard collection was on a kill all LGTF where I got 13. That was a long TF as we were very thorough. It was almost too long.
  16. I'm gonna guess Midnighters Club going to somewhere medieval. Long gown costumes.

Perhaps, dare I say, actual quadruped figures? Possibly a shape shifting powerset where to fly you turn into a bird, etc.

    I'm thinking Praetorian Hami Raid.
  17. Dark Armor will make you look like you are made of smoke.

The Shadow Shard needs some love. So does Boomtown. And Crey's Folly. For that matter pretty much every hazard zone other than The Hollows needs serious attention. Other than the occasional mission, GM's, and badges there isn't a good reason to step foot in any of them.

I'll say it again, the game needs a overhaul. I've done the beginning missions so many times I don't even need to look at the mission dialog to know where to go and what to do. I realize that it can't happen overnight, but if they want this game to stay afloat they need to get leveling content updated or add new content other than just the Praetorian stuff.

*Drops the stick and walks off. Horse continues to lay there.*
I think the Hollows need to be reverted a bit to what it was before. Get rid of the other groups besides the Outcasts, Trolls, Igneous and CoT. The other groups don't belong and get in the way of the many, many hunt missions you have to do.
  19. I have a DM/Regen and a DM/Super Reflexes scrapper to level 50. The/Regen is great as I have lots of IOs to boost regen and recovery. Especially with the recharge/heal uncommon Incarnate Boost. And there is only a 5 second gap between when Dull Pain ends and it becomes recharged again. So I can basically have that running all the time.

I found, much to my chagrin, that my DM/SR scrapper did really poorly on the Imperious TF. The cimerorans just chewed through my defenses until I was quickly dead. I felt like a blaster or a Kheldian. Not much fun.

Of course, the /SR scrapper isn't nearly as IO'd out as the /Regen scrapper, so maybe that played a part.
  20. However, were they not supposed to release Incarnate stuff every month? Where's December's stuff?

    Where?

But yeah, we haven't heard anything about issue 20.

    I have to blame Hickman.
  21. Ah, that explains it. Dull Pain included as passive.

Then I'm getting similar numbers to you then.

Definitely worth it, unless you're Iggy and like moar damage!
I must be doing something wrong. Mine's around 50hp/sec.

What are you doing to get 70hp/sec?

    KM/Regen okay?

Yeah, but once you have Fast Healing and even Health slotted well (not to mention Integration which boosts your regen rate), you don't usually need to use the clicks all that much anyway. Your healing rate should see you through most of your typical encounters.

But I can see where KM might be better suited for something like Willpower (which still gives Quick Recovery and Fast Healing) which has more passive defenses or Invulnerability (although it's an end hog).

    KM/Regen okay?

In my opinion you really can't go wrong with /Regen, no matter what the primary set is.

I have a KM/Regen and find it to be pretty good. Granted the toon is only level 22, but still, Regen is a great set and one of my favorites.

KM with Siphon Power has great potential, but it almost demands that you take as many powers as you can (well, except torrent) so that you can boost your damage.

My only complaint is that the animations seem to be awfully long with Kinetic Melee. Constant waving of your arms, etc.

Thanks for the info. But for a /regen scrapper with access to MoG, I'd still take Body Mastery for Physical Perfection. I'm thinking with MoG you really don't need Shadow Meld.
