I've been using Maria Jenkins' first mission, the new pratorian arc. Get about two or three Behemouths and just stand there waiting for them to hit me. I was set for -1 and they hit only enough to hurt for a little bit before my regen kicked in (about 13 hp/sec).
I've also seen someone farm damage in Mercy using the GM code fires. -

Apart from RotP which is also in Flame Mastery for trollers, dominators and blasters (double-nuke fire blaster wahey
) AND Heat Mastery for MMs and Soul Transfer which is in Dark Mastery for Defenders and Corruptors (potential triple-nuke with rad emmissions).

Quote:To add to this; I do love the new patterns, the spots and stripes add some much-needed variety and the heads are very realistic (oh hello irony).Subjective: tiny feet, big heads.
The heads are quite big but the feet, oh the tiny nimble toes on non-huge. I only use the three-toed version on huge builds because they do look rather delicate on male and female. I would also support exposed toes as a boot option.
Subjective: three colours, not two.
Something I have in Champions is the ability to get the tiger pattern right and it's right with the head: white, orange and black are possible and I would like to be able to colour my chest white while having the orange and black around it.
If it was still here, I'd link to the post I made way back in 2006/07 in Jay's thread about costume parts and not having a t-shirt with animal patterns (or any other patterns besides the pre-made tatoo shirt). Add this in and I will buy it for that alone. To me it represents a six-year dream. -

Query: t-shirt with stripes as seen here
Is this an option (with or without image)? EU test has moved up to version 2000. -
Quote:If that's a real screenshot and not something that they doctored for the article, I'm going to be quite happy. If you don't get why, take a good look at it. Stripe pattern with a t-shirt. If this is going to be possible, awesome, I just hope it also bleeds over to other patterns/combos.
Or if that chest fur heads all the way down -
Yep, they're pretty difficult. The main 'wall' being the signature NPCs on either side. I loathe having them at fixed difficulty and I can't wait for the day when I'm level-shifted above them and pounding them into nothing. The difficulty is more often subjective. If you have the right combination; it can be a breeze or it can be a disaster. They've got a higher threshhold than most.
Having said that; I joined up with a team on my main guy, Tyger. It was basically a PuG through one of the badgehunting channels. The leader suggested doing a Master Of run since we seemed to have a good balance (Mind/ff from me, sonic, empath, MM, blaster, corruptor, stalker and Shield tank) and two of them had their rare Alphas slotted, everyone else was uncommon/common. Now I expected us to lose at one of the FP battles, either in the bunker or the last stand under Atlas. We didn't and if we didn't have the badge before; we certainly did after, along with our Notices where applicable.
Which makes 4 out of the five LRSF runs I've done successful but compared to the ITF which I've lost count of how many times I've run; it's one I don't choose to do often, even with the latest carrot dangling over it. I consider it a neccessary evil to not falling behind with the Incarnate system. -
Quote:The Hamidon thing died with i9 when they changed the Hamidon encounter. He's no longer squatting in the Hive, just the Devouring Earth monsters float about now. Although there's now 8 badges to get, some in precarious positions. Let me know when you face 'The Line of Wall'.For me, the rite of passage was when you dinged 50 you filled up your tray with wakies, and then went to visit Hamidon. Blew your wakies trying to get the Heart of the Hamidon badge. I enjoyed getting the badge for friends with TP friend and flight and dropping them from up high... good target practice in the end.
Maybe that was a Union thing that has died out now :s
The Sewer runs were basically a blitzkrieg method of avoiding the dull 1-20 content. Go in, beat up everything, come out higher. I only managed one or two but they were fun ways of avoiding the starting contacts.
I did enjoy taking my Praetorians through the newer, more interactive arcs so that's another reason I don't miss them. -
As with everything; once the shine fades, normal service will resume

It's not just traps; it's the frankly retarded AI. I've have chased numerous minions, bosses, lieutenants and Elite Bosses across dozens of maps. I even made my own thread about it.
The problem isn't when one or two do it for concept; it's when they ALL do it regardless of circumstance. Even the new bluside arc, "Bad People, Good Intentions" was marred by the Zeus Titan E-B running around the Sky Raiders' floating fortress. My first redside GM was Scrapyard and we must've spent an hour chasing him round the dockyards and we weren't even winning.
And don't get me started on the uber-cheat of them all: Director 11. Level 54 and still runs like a little (beeswax) only he gets to leave mines eveywhere around him (even if he's not there). -

You're welcome. -

Quote:Actually yes. It's for showing SG colours when you visit a tailor.
Take a close look at the colors tab we have on live right now. Can we expand that color tab and pick multiple catergories on live.
Because it looks like Alpha Wolf has a category choice on his interface that we don't have.
He's got some sort of drop down menu above his color palette that we don't have.
He also has two buttons in the top left corner that we don't have.
Just judging by the color of those two tabs, it appears only one can be active at a time.
And the top left is the costume-power buttons. There'd be a third (body) if he was at a surgeon. -

...where's Snarf?

Quote:IIRC the Clockwork display is just to the right of the picture.Actually, I prefer the Silly-Walk.
but the weird thing is, I could have sworn there was something there where the Screen Shot is looking. Do the displays rotate/use spawn rules?
I think the bigger question is: who brought the Rikti comp to the storeroom out back? -
The time: now.
The place: The Crossroads of Destiny.
Scirocco is planning to change the world for the better and in this verse; Tyger is going to stop him.
Tyger flew to the ritual sites, disrupting each one in turn, facing wave after wave of Scirocco's minions. One by one, the Rituals were stopped and then she came.
Ice Mistral charges in to try and stop Tyger. She tries. She fails. Onward to the peak where the patron awaits. A standoff as Tyger readies himself. They fight to a virtual stalemate before Scirroco gets a few decent hits in and wins. Tyger returns and fights to another stalemate, falling after being blinded by sand.
So one last time, Tyger charges his foe, it goes badly and he dives over the edge, escaping further harm and is teleported to the entrance portal....
... and Scirocco leaps to his death by following Tyger.
Basically I went from utter frustration to angry laughter. I was working on finishing my patron arc with Scirocco after returning to the redside so I could get to the Usurper mission. After three attempts to beat him; I end up winning because he followed me over the edge of a bottomless map, the Crossroads of Destiny. A truly epic fail end to a tough E-B fight. -

Oh yeah, villains have less to worry about but still equally tedious to get.
Villain, the original badge for Reformed (and what I like to think of the first badge of GR) - 1000 Longbow
Sharing everything except for three of the Croatoa defeats (Fir Bolg, Ghosts & Cabal) and 'Warden' on the previous hero-only badge list but including Kill Skulz (who only show up on Mercy and occasionally Oakes and time-sensitive mayhems) in limited numbers.
Goon Squad - 333 Consortium guards
Strike Buster - 200 scrapyarders (confusing when there's one for Scrapyard's Scrapyarders set at 100)
Infiltrator - 200 Paragon Protectors
I include that last one since you have one mission they appear in redside but they showed up in a tip in droves last night. Still it would go a long way to helping pure villains achieving in normal play especially if they don't have GR 'to just side-switch'.
Again; it's nice that they are using rare NPC groups in tips. I got a VigiVillain tip with a mission full of PPs in the 40-50 range. If I'd gotten it at 40 I could've set it to x8 for a redside farm. It would be even better if other side-rare groups got to show up in tips, especially since tips can be gained by anyone, GR or not. -
And today my main badger just unlocked his last five dayjobs as well as four accolades. He is done with them now.
My main redside hunter is working on her third bluside dayjob credit in the Shadow Shard so she's got another couple of months left.
And if we're adding things then why not focus on accolades using existing dayjobs. I once made a suggestion of a costume accolade tied to dayjob badges. Something tied to existing dayjobs would mean no more time spent logging out in specific places. -
Quote:ATM, yes. I just switched from Vigilante to villain with Commuter and it changed to Fare Jumper.IIRC, an alignment change from one absolute to the other (going from Rogue to Hero, or from Vigilante to Villian) wipes our your in-game titles, and I THINK the badge title as well. If you gimme a few days, I'll test again to be sure (I wanted to take my badger back to Vigilante status anyway, he's sitting on Rogue right now).
I think your only hope on this is to be a Rogue, if you need to retain the Pilot flag. -
Quote:But since the badge system is one in its own right; it should give you an idea that since it 'reads' gender dynamically; it will more than likely 'read' alignment too, especialy with all the work that was done to make sure Villains got their bluside equivalents.Which doesn't really tell us anything. Changing gender and changing alignment are two completely different systems.
Regarding setting the badge title, then changing alignment, I heard from someone I know that it DOES work. HOWEVER, this was a while ago. It may have been fixed by now since this is obviously not 'working as intended'.
I'll let you know about that since I have a vigi who's gained progress on his remaining redside dayjobs and am going to turn villain again. I'll try one of the blueside badges like Commuter to see if it still works or changes to Fare Jumper. -
Quote:Let's see:Yeah but some of the defeat badge criteria is still a bit of overkill: 1000 monkies, 1000 LB, 333 Cage Consortium.....
All the Croatoa defeat badges - 333 each
Reformed - 1000 Longbow
Spider Smasher - 200 Wolf Spiders
Silver Bullet - 200 Warwolves
The Slayer - 200 Vampyrii
Warden - 500 Prisoners
Man/Woman in Black - 200 Shivans
Kill Skulz - 500 Skulls
Zookeeper - 1000 Rikti Monkeys
And those are just the hero badges. A lot of them end up being tedious to get simply by sheer number. I'm glad that some of these are being aleviated by the tips system with the uncommon NPCs like Longbow, Carnies, Malta and in the case of Monkeys there's now half a dozen ways to get them from street-sweeping Crey's Folley to partaking in a Zone Invasion as well as the RWZ arcs and even in the Incarnate initiation on the right settings.
Having the 'points' system would make nabbing them through normal play a bit easier and make the introduction of any new badges simpler as well. -
Unfortunately the titles are dynamic. I tried it with a gender-specific badge 'Pumpkin Queen' and switched to a male build where it immediately switched to 'Pumpkin King'.
