Quote:Also I wonder if they will actually use the line that Mrs. Weasley used when Bella started attacking Ginny, it has a naughty word in it.
Oh lord, I hope so. I remember when I first read that scene. I got all hyper and excited and my wife made fun of me for at least the next 20 minutes because of the look on my face. I was so excited to see that scene in the trailer. I was worried they would leave it out for time constraint reasons. -
Yeah, you're definitely gonna have to elaborate Strato. That sounds intriguing.

Maybe I'm showing my ignorance, but even with the incarnate powers I don't think the Master of RSF will be much easier. The buffs from Destiny are nice, but not permanent. Yes, I know you can stagger, but that takes a lot of effort from people to invest in the time to get the powers in the first place.
I got my Master of RSF badge in one run with two /Cold Corruptors, an /FF Mastermind, and a little bit of luck. That's what I think it takes to get some of the "Master of" badges. Luck and the right team makeup. I don't think that will change with the incarnate powers. You can have all the defense and regen (and whatever else) in the world, and the RNG will still show it's ugly head from time to time. If anything, all this will do is make things slightly easier for people who have invested a significant amount of time in building their character. -
I just wanted to give a quick shout out to the late night/early morning Lambda Sector league I was on last night. Quick backstory:
I had just logged on and begun running some missions in Peregrine Island. I hopped into my rather lap map and begun melting the mobs as fast as I could. I was completely solo, so when I saw people chatting in my chat tab over Broadcast, I got slightly confused. Until I saw someone talking about their Lambda league. Yes, I had an entire Lambda league enter my one man mission. Some friendly banter was had by all (and a few unhappy individuals had some fun things to say as well), and I was helped by a merry band on people to clear out some of my enemies.
Well, of course I had to mention this on the Guardian channel. As soon as I did, one of the individuals in the league began laughing about it with me. This of course led to the comment "Now that's some league recruiting! We come to your missions!" How could I not join the league now?
I hopped over the Pocket D, and was immediately invited to the league. We get everyone ready, and as I disappear to teleport into the map, I get booted out of the game. Well crap. I load back in asap and begin to try to rejoin the league. No dice. So, I shout out to the folks in Guardian channel that I'm not in with them and it appears I won't be joining them afterall. Shortly after this, I notice that several of the players are reappearing in Pocket D all around me.
Me: "Did you all get booted as well?"
Fiery Panda-monium: "No, we came back for you."
I had no idea what to say. An entire league quit their trial to come back to get me. Now, these folks have already been booted out of one trial, booted into my mission, and are now quitting again to bring me along. I was completely speechless. Things like this don't happen normally in videogames, so I felt pretty damn good about the community I was a part of.
I know I'm getting winded, so long story short, we started the trial with 12 people, ended up with 11 when someone never loaded into the mission (nor came back online). We cleared everything, got all our grenades and acids, shut down all the doors in the courtyard (is that the right term?), and beat Marauder silly with plenty of time to spare. It was smooth, painless, and everyone was a lot of fun to be around. Chat was constant and fun, and everyone was helpful and encouraging. I loved it.
So, a special thanks to the following (of the people I remembered almost 6 hours later):
Doc Dokurn (I have no idea if this was spelled right, but he was the league leader)
Slash-
Killer Cutie
Fiery Panda-monium
Mamimi
Miss Axis
And yeah, that's it. I honestly thought I remembered more, but I don't. Sorry to anyone I forgot.
Thanks for the fun times Guardian! -
Quote:No one broke anything. The devs didn't break the "Master of" badges, nor did they technically make them easier to complete. All they've done is allow characters to progress to a higher level of power than we were capable of before. This in turn allowed some teams to steamroll over normal content, which is working as intended. However, people will still die because they weren't paying attention. They won't pay attention to the time clock because of other things going on. "Master of" badges won't become an instant "easy" button to complete. You will still need to have somewhat decent teamwork and an idea that "hey, this is what we are going to do." Things are the same as they were before, only people can hopefully survive a bit longer and do a bit more damage. So what your saying is they broke it for those of us who spent alot of time earning the badges with NO TEMPS so we shouldnt be mad they made it like a cake walk for others.
It is completely different in that people had to work on those badges by themselves for hideously ludicrous amounts of time. A well built team could obtain the "Master of" badges by pure accident. I'm honestly having a hard time thinking of a "Master of" badge that was such a difficult chore beforehand that won't at least still be somewhat of a nuisance even with incarnate abilities. Maybe some of you can enlighten me, as I don't have all the "Master of" badges, and if I'm wrong I have no problem admitting to that. I just don't see those badges as something that was ever horribly time consuming or difficult if given some time to prepare and get a decent team of individuals together. (I stress the word individual because ATs and powersets simply don't matter 99% of the time. Only exception to this to my knowledge would be the Master of Lambda as that definitely needs a significant amount of debuffing.) -

Quote:Defense numbers you should shoot for rank as follows: 45% (softcap), 32.5% (one small purple will softcap), 20% (two small purples will softcap), and 12.5% (three small purples will softcap). I have several Brutes who have builds sitting at 20% defense to all damage types (except Toxic) including Psionic, and it is very nice and easily attainable. Especially for a tank.As another poster in that thread noted recently (I think it was Fulmens), getting to about 32% defense is pretty nice, as you can then soft cap to that defense type with one small purple.
However, that is just my opinion, so take it with a grain of salt. -
If you don't plan on using set IOs for the set bonuses, then at least consider using IOs for frankenslotting. You'll get more bang for your buck and your attacks will be slotted much more efficiently.
Also, consider moving your Brute over to villainside temporarily to pick up the patron power pools to get get Mu Mastery. It will significantly increase your kill speed. -
This is almost as lame as people "raising awareness" of breast cancer on Facebook by posting vague sexual innuendo.
I mean honestly, how in the hell does this even try to help those without a job? By saying, "Hey we have people who don't have jobs. Hire them please!" No, you get people hired by offering state tax incentives and other things. For crying out loud... -
