*sigh* yup..another SS/Fire Brute for farming
Well, Fire cyborgs is a crap mish is you want to get inf. It's actually one of the worst mishs I've ever come across for farming and i have NO idea how it got so popular.
I recommend either FIRE! ID 423253 or FRONTLOAD ID 48218
Both of these mishs are insanely better than Fire cyborg.
Now, are you using red insp and combine macros? Your build looks good and I have no idea how you are so slow. Even for fire cyborg.
Also what tubby said, somewhere in the middle there FE posted your basic top tier SS/fire/mu farm build. And i posted a "cheap" SS/fire/mu build somewhere in their i believe as well.

Yes I had read that forum posts, but I guess I lost your guys builds in the middle of the 11 pages of people arguing lol. Thank you for the Id's though I'll have to try those out if they are better than Fire Cyborgs.
And to answer your question, I enter the mish in with 15 red insps, but I haven't set up the Macro's up yet. I generally just pop 7 to 8 at first, then when those burn off, pop another 7 to 8. After that, I just focus on Rage and embrace to carry me through the rest. Guess I'd better read up on that forum post and the macros section in the other forum and get to work on those.

The inspcombine chains (I use binds instead of macros, but whatever) cut down my times significantly on their own. How significantly? Nearly half. I don't have to hunt for trios of insps to combine, unwanted insps get automatically deleted, and I'm popping reds constantly. More reds more often means more damage and faster times.
What can I do to modify him so that he can tackle +4/x8 at about the same speed as +2?

Being level-shifted is the only way to improve your farming against +4's. No amount of purples or PvP sets will change that.
Ticket drop rates are also increased when you fight +4s.

Thanks for all the advice so far. I'm having trouble with the binds/Macros portion. I went under the players guide and went to the "Compiled List of Binds" and was able to find how to Bind a key to just pop Red inspirations...thats it. Binds are a newer concept to me. I'm looking for:
A bind that will pop all Red inspirations you have
A bind that will delete anything that is not a red.
I couldn't find them on his list under Inspirations so I was just wondering where you guys found them. I just found the one that will break down 3 of anything into Rage's, still haven't found the other two. Thanks a lot for the help. Anything I can do to cut down the time on my farming is a Godsend!
I recommend using macros that have your attacks in them to combine insp. And yes you can still maintain an attack chain. Popping reds though cannot be attached to attacks.
I also highly recommend macros for once you decide SS/fire is ******* awesome and want to make a 2nd build for more than just farming. It's going to happen :P
It’s much easier than having to unbind and reload files and so on every time. As combing reds is something i don’t recommend during an ITF for example....

thanks for the link in your sig that really helped out. And as for making a Ss/Fire/Mu Brute for regular content, I def plan on it. It feels like a powerful character and the pure amount of AoE and impressive ST damage it can put out is amazing, so I know running it in ITF and things like that it has to be a beast. I mean thats why its down Solo MoITF with no problem. I just need to get to saving up money to make a separate build for every day use
Fighting +4 critters is overrated. From what I can tell, the damage penalty you incur for attacking critters that high is greater than the xp bonus you get for defeating them. You do half damage and get 50% more xp. You would need 100% more xp bonus to make it worth it.

I've been using a level 35 Claws/Fire to run the Frontload mission that I've been using on my SS/Fire, and I gotta say, this thing has a lot of potential. No Rage crash and Spin does immense damage. I'm thinking once this thing is fully slotted I could even outpace the SS. The endurance use is vastly better, and the addition of Eviscerate to my AoE arsenal seems to be a big help. Even if it doesn't outpace SS, just not having to deal with a Rage crash while producing similar performance would be awesome.
I won't be able to make any direct comparisons until I get her to 50, slotted, and do some serious testing, but so far it looks really good. On the build I've put together in Mid's Spin recharges in less than 4 seconds. That allows me to use it more often in the duration of a Fiery Embrace than I could with Footstomp.
Just doing some quick math (recharge+cast time/20) with my builds I can use Spin 3 times during a FE for 458/use damage and only 2 times with Footstomp for 378/use damage. That's under 85 Fury (+Rage on the SS) with ED damage slotting with a damage proc in Spin. Under a farming situation the increased radius of Footstomp doesn't really matter since I'll be completely surrounded by enemies all the time. The kicker will be how much of an increase the FF +rech proc will help the SS.
I think when the Claws hits 50 I'll do ten runs of Frontload with each of them at 2/8 and see how they average out. I'll use my usual method of mashing F1-F5 to use every inspiration that drops. While that will add a random element, that's how I play the mission every single time so I consider it "normal environmental condition."
Should be a good time waster, if anything.
I tried searching the forums for some of the best builds on farming and to get some advice on mine before I posted a forum asking help, but I haven't found "The Ultimate SS/Fire Brute". So I wanted to post my build get some critiques and let everyone know what I wanted to do and see if I could achieve that rather easily.

Problems:
Right now, I'm doing the Crey's fire Cyborgs missions at +2/x8. It takes me on average 5-7 minutes to complete it at this setting for hitting the ticket cap (killing both ambush spawns and decimating the first floor). While I feel this is a good speed, I'd like to be able to do it faster if Possible. The things that are holding me back are Rage Crashes(which don't last very long) and not always being at 750% damage output. Always having my attack chain up is never an issue (FS + Burn + Fences + Ball Lightning), but when Rage crashes it slows me down quite a bit.
What I'm looking to achieve if possible is a happy medium of Recharge and Damage output. I would love it if I didn't have to depend on Rage at all, but I don't see it being able to happen. Double Rage is just too nice and I can't figure out how to get to that 750 constantly without it and some reds.
Also, this build can't do +4/x8. Let me rephrase that, it can't do it efficiently. It takes too long. I go from 5-7 minutes to 13-16 minutes, and wanting to power level up my new characters its too slow. What can I do to modify him so that he can tackle +4/x8 at about the same speed as +2? Do I have to all out invest in Purple sets and Pvp Sets? Or can it be done by simple rearranging slots? Also, for trying to get it done quickly, are there better maps out there than Crey's Fire cyborgs?
Thank you for your time!
