I keep hearing people talk in hushed tones about redraw on titan weapons.
My TW has FA as the secondary which is extremely clicky. One trick I found is saving the PBAOE Whirling Smash for the moment when you need to redraw, (for example laying down a burn patch, using Healing Flames etc), the skill does the redraw instantly and you're back up and running again.
For the OP, keep in mind you don't have to have Kinetic Combat slotted up and down your build right from the start. Just find a secondary you enjoy and you'll farm up the cash in no time with TW. -
Yeah I made a tw/fa brute and its incredibly tight but the sheer amount of aoe pain it can output is gnarly.
-
He is speaking of traditional katana technique...and unlike most other swords the katana isn't double edged so no, it can't be flipped.
-
I love my TW brute and have never had fury issues, but then again I'm normally fighting a ton of mobs.

Quote:No although they tend to look a lot cooler with a big *** shield leading the way. Thanks for details all. As I said I am no min/max player, but reading that Lightning Rod does a good chunk more dmg on a scrapper made me thinking. Might reroll my lowbie elec brute.
Speaking of Stj... I wasn't able to tell if SD is changing the Stj Animations while in char creation. Do they change? -
You have to pay the troll toll to get into the boy's hole...

I'm not sure what the mish number is but Burn The Witches is a fun fire farm.

My opinion....
For functionality:
I like claws/elec, adding that fast recharge onto an already low recharge primary is just sick, plus damn near every attack is an aoe or cone.
For looks/mechanics:
StJ/FA...nothing looks quite as cool as a flaming knee to the nuts or a flying Ryu uppercut. -
Quote:Claws with electric armor is beastly with the reduced recharge and aoe, same with fire armor. I tend to like damage auras with claws but is such a fun set that it's pretty effective with any pairing.Cant make my mind...
I re-rolled my main, a MA/FA scrapper into Stj/FA brute, because I loved /FA but its better in brutes and wanted to avoid to things:
Redraw
Another SS/FA brute
So, my questions are:
1. Its going to be a mistake not rolling a Claws/FA brute?
2. Its going to be far better than my current Stj/FA? I havent seen many builds posted at forums so far, looks like a weird combo since SS is so awesome.
3. Can I have any suggestions for Claws secondary, like /ElA? -
Quote:Yeah you can do it on a scrapper but it's nothing like a brute and you have to dial down the difficulty a bit otherwise you get swamped really fast.As the original post explains, Brute's Fury gets you a higher damage multiplier cap, so you will kill faster, so you'll get insp faster, etc... This is especially true now that you can no longer load up on red inspirations before entering the map.
That being said, you should still be able to do this on a scrapper. It'll just be a little slower and probably a bit less safe since insps won't drop as quicky. -
It doesn't get talked about because everyone is talking about min maxing SS/FA on a brute. I have a fun kat/wp brute that I use in cebr farms. It's not as effective as claws because of the different early aoe skill but it still holds it's own and looks crazy cool, especially with ninja run.

This is cool and all but I just want titan weapons to hurry up and go live.

Quote:Jesus, chill out dude you don't have to get so friggin literal. Besides side effects or debuffs are a far cry from mechanics built to intentionally stack and progress in a defined chain. Not sure why you'd even try to argue this with him as it's his personal preference...do you also try to debate people on their favorite color? Derp.Ah ok, so every single powerset in the game that has Aim or Build Up is a combo system you hate. That's gotta be upsetting. Any attack that debuffs resistance that modifies further attacks bugs you too, or having concentrated strike crit and instantly recharge a build up type power, etc etc etc

With your multi posting and severe lack of forum etiquette it surprises me that you received any polite answers back regarding your ******* post. You're lucky there are a lot of nicer and more forgiving people than myself in this community.
-
Sorry OP but it sounds like you just need to chill. At that level it doesn't really matter, besides it's not like fire aura was going to tip the scales and save the day.
-
Even with the inspiration purge on entering the cebr method is a nice alternative for a solo player or when you can't find a mish team.
-
I haven't done much with willpower. How good is it's proximity based self heal? I tend to like having a self heal so I've avoided this set but it's always looked interesting.

Theres no secret to levelling in this game...
Every five levels just make sure you're doing the bank missions for a good temp power. Then group and crank the difficulty if you're going for pure speed.
Eventually I end up just soloing so I don't have to worry about finding a team that knows what they are doing. I've gone for pure speed, I've badge whored, and I've gone the story arc route. The last two were a lot more entertaining. -
Wanted to give this a bump since its been floating downward recently.
Also are there any recruiting vg's out there that don't have Shadow, Demon, Syndicate, Evil, ebonics, l33t, or Hell in the vg name?
I'm looking for a new home for my 33 stalker and if I see another Da Anarchist Shadow Demon Mafia or Satanz Colorblind Shadow SINdicate vg I'm going to vurp on my keyboard. -
I think the main difference would be that they are TANKS!
Eating damage is their forte. Other ATs just pretend to suck it up, so of course they are at a disadvantage when compared to the AT designed for it. -

Hahaha. My main on Virtue is a Spines/Dark Armor scrapper. Booya.

/em faint
Oh yeah?! My main is a Spine/Dark scrap with a heavy lisp, cleft pallet, and irritable bowel syndrome. -
Remember how Quills used to sound? Now it sounds like someone is petting a porcupine but it used to sound like a giant nail gun going off again and again. CHA-CHUNK! CHA-CHUNK!
That was a happy day when they switched that one out.
