Just got back into town and now I'm sick. Hopefully I will be back into robust form and can start back up on the weekly extravaganzas!
-
Postagulous doesn't have permission to edit the base. We tried.
-
It has been so long since I've tried this - are we still able to bring in multiple teams into a mish? I'd love to see if we could have two of them, in a mish set to 8 players, at plus 4, PI Bank safeguard, and take on one of the signature AV's. Just for the fun of it
. But that would have to wait for a couple weeks as I'll be out of town the coming Monday.

Quote:I was thinking that we need to start some activities redside, myself. I work on Tuesdays so unfortunately won't be able to participate. Perhaps I'll start up a 2nd redside meetup. Is there a night that is good with others? 6 PM PST seems to be a good time blue side on Mondays. How about same time Thursday?I might try to bring back Lunch with Evil (formerly 3 PM eastern/noon Pacific, Tuesdays.)
Also, anyone planning to move their Frads redside? Might be fun to see how we melt through villainous content. -
It's been fun have a few off weeks of just running normal mishes. Sometimes it is hard to commit to a TF. And it was nice having enough to run two different teams. I look forward to the Winter Event and Halloween Event - two+ Rad teams will melt though the GM's and rack up the merits!
I will be out of town next week so you all have fun, but not too much!
Riches/Radical Burner out! -
I've whipped out my new Fire/Rad. She's up to level 22. I don't have anything that can do the ITF yet, and already have the midnighters on both my characters. But I'm good with anything. Barring wife agro, I'll be there.

Quote:Do we know what side Rogues and Vigilantes will be able to fight on when entering non-Warburg PVP zones?A villain coming to Paragon City for redemption will be doing heroic missions in penance for his crimes. He won't be fighting heroes. By that same token a hero that falls from grace will go to the Rogue Islands to continue on his path to villainy and not to beat up bad guys. There is no PvP involved.

No expert here, but for me, I blow past those lower levels so it isn't worth slotting IO sets. I tried this with a Corruptor. It was such a pain trying to juggle and acquire salvage, as well as the recipes. There are so few spots on the market, as well as my own personal stores in the beginning. And that's probably another reason. I think most people who don't have room on the markets don't bother posting items where there are no bids. And conversely I don't think people want to waste market space to put in bids on items that aren't available anyway, in the hopes the order will be filled. So is it worth trying to fill a niche? I think it would take more than one person to turn that around.

Hey Envee,
I've had quite a few friends, in-game and RL, be hit with the economy situation and I feel for you. It looks like you guys have a direction so wish you the best. -
I think I'm going to have to roll a new character for the group - to experience Fire Radness at the higher levels, and have a high level character with missions I can switch Riches out to, to pick up Praetorians, etc. Looking forward to Monday!

Will complete still count toward the SG Badge?
-
I think I remember that for awhile he swore off the forums, and only came back for some beta testing. Maybe he's back to being reclusive again.

Well, probably not our finest hour. There is usually a celebratory group shot to go with the post but doesn't seem worth posting, considering how it ended.
As Hype said we had a good showing and he bowed out to make room for someone else. I ended up running it again. We had:
Riches
Therm ODynamic
Nuclear Fyre
Hot.Stuff
Zorinna
Greased Wheel
Main-Sequence
Gamma-Pyre Dan
Before we started we happened to run into a group struggling with their own Babbage spawn so we jumped in to lend a hand, and earn a quick 2 merits.
It ran mostly smooth, but during one of the defeat-alls we couldn't locate the last Clockwork (he seemed stuck in the geometry) and had to petition for help. Took only about 10 minutes but it felt longer as we were worried we'd have to give up. We completed it in 2 hours and 45 minutes, set at plus 2 levels.
Where it turned sour is during the last portion of the last mission, when we lost a player. He apparently DC'd before we cleared the final room. I don't think any of the rest of us realized it, and he never dropped from the team until after a few minutes after we had exited. I was still hanging around when he came back on. And found out that GP Dan missed out on the TF reward.
On behalf of the team, I apologize, Dan. Had we noticed you were not with us we would have waited. I've missed out on rewards on TF's, and it doesn't feel good. -
Quote:Me, playing Riches, pinballing my way through one of the large chambers, getting stuck in a small "building" and having to pull up my map to see where I ended up, only to see Kaylee Foxtrot not that far behind me, and her calling out "how do I get out of here?". Made me feel better about myself.I get lost in caves. I ran with the imps. Usually Helon's imps, as he was just slightly less lame than me at the caves.
At least they weren't blue.
I have 3 level 50 'trollers myself, but this one is a little different. Many of us cap our levelling off at 33, to supply the mid range demand. I used to think level 33 was handicapped, especially when it came to IO sets, but my character does quite well. Come join the experiment! -
It was a blast as usual! Looking forward to the next one!

What a brilliant, but tragic, origin. I can just see this poor little guy wandering alone now, with very little prior contact to the human world. I'd love to see how his story would develop . . .
I think this is a tough call to make. I don't think your character itself is a mutant, even thought the girl was. And you could make an argument for tech or science (the girl was exposed to something which allowed for him to take form). And that could also be true with magic.
I don't know how "natural" this type of event could be, but it is probably the most likely answer. If I am a potter and I create a vase, that would be a natural result of my abilities. Perhaps it is the same with this character. It may have taken a life of its own even despite her death. -
-
I have the same concern with my troller - trying to run him through mobs that are for equivalent to a team of 3. My guess is that I will have to work on defense bonuses from IO sets, etc.
-
I think it would be best to petition. The longer it takes for them to address it, should it need fixing, the further back your badge date becomes. For the last 2 years my badge date was the 16th. And now it has been bumped to the 18th. And they don't want to fix it. It's only 2 days, but should it happen again, I'm afraid more time will be added.
-
The only concern may be if there ARE other active accounts in that SG. They may have the super leader position.
-
I really don't think they are going to let us take anything to the other side. They may have a new system that would create an alternate build that starts at level 1. What our current character has may be locked in so that it will be there if/when we return, but will not be accessible on the other side.

You can cap your mail at 20 emails. So if I were rich, and wanted another way to sock away inf, I could email myself (up to the inf cap I'd guess) and just let it sit.
-
I'd like to try a SF or respec for this Friday - at 6 pm PST, 9 pm EST. Might be a bit late for the East Coasters. My character is currently level 30 so anything he can do would be great.
-
So if a character has email disabled, and another character attemtps to email, say 100 million in inf, does it just get deleted? Will be interesting to see. I would hope if an email has an "attachment" it would get special consideration.
