Quote:I think it has a lot more to do with the fact that a brand new set has never been released on the market for Support ATs (Troller, Def, Corr and MMs)... and no, the almost totally recycled Dark Affinity doesn't count. The fact that anyone is actually surprised by this floors me.
Nature Affinity has been pretty much ready since its first patch. Bio Armor is still undergoing a couple light tweaks. Obviously they're going to release the set that was finished first.
On the other hand, Melee ATs have gotten three so far (Staff, StJ and Titan)!
There is no reason not to hold out on a set for the ATs who have gotten the most out of the Paragon Market, it's only fair, IMO. -

So... aside from the person who is going all half-cocked about Hybrid... which is totally tangential to the discussion at hand, it looks like most folks like this idea. And, why he didn't just say "this change is unnecessary" instead of tirading I will never understand.
I, too, think this is an excellent idea (assuming that the Devs don't remove the crash and rebalance the powers anyway).
Personally, I think that removing the crash totally is a better option, but I definitely like this suggestion to aid in the management of said crash. -
You'll also have to give us more information than that... and ummm... what kind of a prize is some stranger using the name and bio that we come up with?

Quote:I still prefer "hand-egg."Look, if all ya US "football" fans could agree to call it "armored rugby" or some such, and finally accept that "soccer" should be called football, then it would be much less confusing and annoying for everyone when you're talking to anyone from the. entire. rest. of. the. planet.
Besides, wouldn't "Armored Rugby" sound more macho anyway? -
I think I will be doing an Archery/MC so that I can finally add a Speedster-style character to my roster...
The name Speedflux is saved already, with a costume awaiting i24. -
Quote:I think the Male model REALLY really needs some options similar to Brief but in more of a mid-thigh length variety, and also just above the knee (or as pictured below, just past the knee)...neither is the "brief" option for males. the bare is the only bare legged option. males need a lot more ports before females get ANOTHER variation of something they already have :P
imo.
but i hope we both get bothMOAR OPTIONS!
While I'm at it... I would also really like a face like the one above: none at all... but in fleshtones. Would allow us to emulate characters like The Blank from Dick Tracy or The Question. -
The highest bid is matched up with the lowest asking price usually, so if I were to guess, those folks actually placed their items for lower amounts of Inf... However, this is a double-edged sword: the lower you place your asking price the lower someone can bid and still get it.
So, in essence, patience is a virtue. And, if you can't afford to wait (a pun!) then put in a very low asking price.
I am sure others will stream in here to comment.

It -probably- said that you need to get to the 2nd Tier in the Paragon Rewards program. For each month you are subscribed, or 1200 Paragon Points you buy, you earn a token for use in the Paragon Rewards tree. Once you cross into a new Tier certain perks open up. One of those is the ability to send tells.
I am posting from my phone or else I would link you to the Paragon Wiki for more information. Hopefully someone comes along and does that for you. -
Quote:*boggles*I used to have one of those as a kid. Best moment of my childhood, and then my father told me it was time to be a man.
And all this time I used the Hello Kitty toaster avatar to infer you were female! Insert a quotation here about certain bound literature items and the manner in which they are adorned. -
Quote:So what I hear you say here is that Destiny (and maybe Lore) needs to be nerfed so that Hybrid can feel more powerful? That would be a suggestion I could really get behind! *obviously cheesy thumbs up*The way Hybrid works, this will never come to pass. I just finished a Magi trial and for the majority of the trial I was at the HARD CAP for all defense, capped resists, and I was highly damaged buff, although I wasn't tracking real numbers. Lore works because it brings in a new entity with its own caps. In that way it circumvents our limitations in a way that only radial Assault does. Much of this is the result of Destiny which feels like a real Incarnate power. In games which much tighter min-maxing, another complaint against Hybrid would be that it's useless because we're at the cap for most attributes most of the time during raids.
I don't much care for the Lore Slot either, but I can't but acknowledge that it's a fantastic increase to damage and really can turn the tide. We'll never need a whole league with Hybrid. It might help a bit, but with our very powerful buffer/debuffer ATs I don't think any non-level shift Incarnate power will ever be strictly necessary. -
I think those last points, Lothic, are precisely what I was trying to get at with my little list up-thread. I really don't think this idea does anything to assist with the stated goal.
Whether or not it is a good idea for a badge or set of badges is really beside the point. As a suggestion for new badges, the only way I would support this is if it merely counted unique Souvenirs acquired... though I would be against a count going as high as 300 whether or not I have a character who would meet that requirement or not! As a means to increase the variety of content that is played? I am 100% against this idea, since I don't think it would work at all. -
Quote:I can all but guarantee that the example BrandX used was specifically ridiculous to throw the ones that actually are an issue under the bus.I know. Which is what makes it so bizarre that BrandX chose to harp on the one instance of this that does happen via time travel, and in a way that is consistent, rather than any of the examples that are inconsistent and actually comparable.
AKA, a tongue-in-cheek poke at States, Penny and Sister Psyche's statuses. (Tell me I am not the only one who has read all of BrandX's posts in this thread with a heavy tinge of sarcasm?) -
I think the point of all of this is that making a static world in an MMO suddenly a world that has dynamic elements (like updating to a 'now') is problematic at best... especially when that "dynamic world" doesn't exist everywhere. Like Faultline... and the LGTF... (Note: I've switched gears here to add the apparently time-warping Penny Yin to this mess.)

You folks are old!
(I wasn't born until '82.)
But seriously, I had some experience with some (even at that time) old Apple IIe computers in the 4th grade that one of the Math teachers kept around to entertain kids with during free time. We had some form of Atari console to play games on when I was like 8 or 9 (and that was the only video game console we ever owned in my house)... played lots of golf and some space-invader-like game.
And then our first real computer. I have no clue what it was, but it had a modem whose speed was measured in baud and it ran DOS (at some point Windows 3.1 was in our house, but I am not sure if it was the same system or not). I recall vaguely searching BBS for stuff and playing lame games through CompuServe.
I also remember fondly how excited my dad was when we got a photocopied hint book for Wolfenstein with all the maps and secrets in it... he had gotten it from some friend at work. -

Quote:I don't think those badge are related to the suggestion.I know you are just trying to help..but..those Flashback badges are ALREADY so much work. Especially the ones with silly stuff like no travels, no pool powers, buffed enemies. It is annoying enough to get them once, on your badger toon, let alone making you do them again, on the other side.
It seems to me that it is suggesting folks run ALL of the arcs both blue and red available through Ouro to get the badge(s), if you happen to choose settings, well, that's your choice. -
That seems to be a rather poor idea for several reasons:
1. Many folks effectively ignore badges... with that in mind, how will these additions achieve the stated goal of encourage running of the content?
2. Ouro arcs, in my experience, are best run solo due to the locking out of standard content, which is easier to control when it gets done on just one character. This would make it harder to run the content normally, since many folks will be off chasing this badge and not available to team. Should this really be an either or?
3. Holy crap is that a lot to do for one badge! It seems unaligned with the current model of adding additional badges (especially the Accolade for getting both).
4: Content is constantly added to the game... will the badge requirements be dynamic or static. If dynamic, then will folks have to continually re-earn the badge? If static, how will the new content be "encouraged"?
5. I am sure there are others... -
Quote:So.... Prototype? Or T-1000 style? I can get behind that!Shapeshifting.
Not like [Blank], more like shifting parts of your body into things like blades, spikes, mallets. Throwing a chunk of your arm or something to wrap around an enemy as a hold (sort of like Bull Natterling's hold). Single attack-style body morphing.
The logistics of how? Beats me, but it's pretty common in comics and animation.
Also, we need a Self-Duplication Mastermind set!! -
I am really hoping that Psionic Melee will be able to accomplish the offensive style of Telekinesis that I want... without being way too Psylocke (not sure how possible that is). Otherwise, Gravity has served my needs nicely for a Telekinetic-y set.

Magnetism!
And a more "Gadgety" set for Controllers/Dominators. Oh, and Wind Control/Assault/Blast! -
Quote:Sorry to burst your bubble, bub, but some people LIKE Praetoria, and wouldn't mind a visit back now and again. No, we don't. We don't need one more stinking arc about Praetoria, especially not anything to do with that particular Butt Pull. Tyrant is overthrown, Hamidon Wins, Fatality, survivors escaped, Mission Accomplished, The End, k thx bai.
