Yeah.... I... don't like this one. It's too... happy (for lack of a better word). Something about it just seems... off. Wrong? I can't place it, but it makes me uncomfortable.
I would rather have the one with Penny... and that says something because I don't like Penny Yin as a hero, but at least that one felt less wrong and more action-packed. -
I really really thought that the new loading screen was an overdone joke. I am saddened that it is real. It's a good thing I use my own custom loading screen.

Quote:That seems like a glorious idea! I can think of about 10 servers I would steal slots from (first on that list being Freedom and Exalted)!I don't have the link, but I know we've covered this before and this was what I said before:
Quote:Allow us to reallocate server slots from unused servers over to our desired home servers. -
Tying Judgement powers to a specific origin is a horrid idea... like, really bad.
Adding new powers that easily relate to a specific origin but don't require them to use is a superb idea.
I am almost certain that more Judgements will be added in due time (as they should be). Specifically I want a more natural one like the one you suggest as well as the Rock Hurling one used by one of the robots in the Blockbuster Event's Arena and some member of the Talons or Knives of Vengeance (can't recall which). -

Howling Twilight is one of my favorites. I am also rather fond of the noise that accompanies the attack that effects the map during the Penny Yin portion of MoM... the peh-TWANG one... very cool.

I have recently gotten this dude up to 50, and decided that I like him well enough that I'd like to IO him a bit. However, I am not really sure where to go with it.
I would like to get him to 45% ranged Def if possible, or S/L if that is easier. For concept reasons, I would really prefer to stay with the Mu Epic, but if there is absolutely no way to hi the softcap that way, then I am willing to pick a different Epic. Also, I really don't care about Perma-Dom... not something I have even remotely thought about.
Below is the build I worked up before as a starting point... but I admit it really isn't that well done. Perhaps the only thing I like is the Proc-ed out AoE Immob.
{Edit: Removed build abomination, it also prolly wouldn't have linked anyway.} -
I would. Not mistakes in the sense of "oops" but mistakes in the sense of "man, we really should have made a different design decision there."
That's not to say that Katana/Broad Sword or Mace/Battle Axe or any of the other very similar sets shouldn't exist... but what I mean is, that if all of those sets were made today, they would all be very different from one another, and I for one would prefer that. However, since those sets have been around so long, it is basically impossible to "fix" them at this point.
Just my two cents, and a bit tangential to the thread. -
Quote:Making an entirely new power set is less time intensive than creating only new animation and plugging them into the UI?True, but then you'd have to have program the game to be capable of changing ability animations based on the chosen weapon, which would probably be more of a hassle.
I am not a programmer... but that doesn't sound right at all.
Also, I think that giving a crossbow as a weapon custimazion to Archery would in fact be superior to the suggestion as it wouldn't create a set functionally identical to another. And citing past examples where this has occurred is no reason to continue the mistakes of the past. -
Quote:Some interesting stuff here! Especially the original name for the "Carnival of Shadows" was "Soul Scavengers."I've acquired a full-scale picture of that figure from First Contact, a fansite that dates back to the launch of the game. I recommend browsing it just because it has some insights that are more or less lost to time in the present day.

Mayhap you can link the video so we can see for ourselves?

Hmmm...
I assumed that it was 2 separate events as well. This... intrigues me. -
On the prowl for another Well to NOMNOMNOM on... and we happen to have one... and a Well Champion who just got totally defeated, presumably leaving us vulnerable.

Quote:For the most information, I suggest you go visit Prometheus in Ouro, and read these.meh guess not much information is available about them yet. Paragonwiki is not a friend for thsi topic yet. It just mentions them and rehash what is already in game not much information about them. I think you explained a little bit more about them then paragonwiki on the subject. I guess I'll just wait then till they appear and the information about then becomes more in depth.
That will get you about all we know on the Coming Storm, and Battalion. -
A mostly mysterious entity who is believed to be an Ascended who then created an army of followers and goes in search of Wells to devour thus adding to its power. The Rikti faced them hundreds of years ago and survived, we are due to face them Soon™. AKA the Coming Storm.
They will serve as the next big bad in the iTrial progression.
Also, ParagonWiki is your friend!! -

Obvious question first: Did you actually log in using the same account that was associated with Going Rogue?
-
Oh goodness... that is totally not what I had in mind when I said that.
Ummm, besides... I -really- don't think Synapse is my type... well, maybe the Signature NPC... *shrug*
Wait... maybe that wasn't dirty after all? I think it's official now, my mind is in the gutter. Mayhap you were trying to raise my Cpt. Planet reference to one re: Ghost Busters? I iz zo confuzzled now. -

I honestly couldn't resist.
Especially since the OP gave no criteria for what they would consider better. As was pointed out above, both are viable... just one is "easier" to manage. Maybe that doesn't make it better, we have no way of knowing.
Heck, they could be talking PvP for all we know! -
How can we help you, if you already chose?!
Unless of course, you mean: "Help me choose please."
