That's SSA 1.7. Nothing new.

Goodbye. Not to the game, but the players. Goodbye. Everyone, remember to have fun. That's all I can say.

That scene was used in the images of the Mecha Armor set aswell, I think.

Still haven't seen any missions that use it since i23, where I thought I'd find it.

AAAaarrrrgggghhh!

I have very mixed feelings about this. I have hoped for and dreaded this set coming out. I have a character who at the moment uses a Vanguard (?) katana, which represents her focusing her mental energy into a physical blade. I wanted to have her be mental/ psionic melee and that was as close as I could come. Guess I will be remaking her now... (provided the set is good).

The rogue and vigilante stuff sounds intriguing. I'm happy that they're finally doing something with Hero Corp though a "wetworks" style of mission seems a little out of character for them at first glance. Still, the whole point of Hero Corp is that they "may" be shady in any number of ways so why not in a cloak and dagger way? Nice also to see Wyvern getting some in-characterish love.

Overall, I-24 promises to be something great as long as it live up to its promises.

At least one of those guys in the "moon" shot was some kind of space pirate. Didn't I read a while back about an upcoming costume set with that theme?

It's the Cosmic Corsair pack in Super Pack 2: Electric Boogaloo.

It rhymes.

Strangely, it's been put in the 30-40 range, when starting at 20 would seem like a better match for the side switching sytem.

Yep. The 'Cosmic Corsair' space pirate costume set is in the second batch of Super Packs: Rogues and Vigilantes. Don't know when exactly they'll hit Live, though - at the outset it should be when Issue 24 hits.

Edit - Awww. Bullet ninja'd me. Ah well xD

Not so strange, really. The fact that they're catering to those alignments is a tacit recognition that some faction of the players are not using it for side switching, but as a "flavor" of game content that defines their characters.

I'm all for that, even if I'm primarily true-blue. More choice is always a good thing.

The only odd thing is the choices of groups. If it were me, I would have reversed them and had Wyvern dealing with the vigilantes, given that they are basically Sinclair's private mercenaries, and Hero Corp dealing with the Rogues, per their questionable background relating to whether or not they actually create a need for their services by hiring villains to work their client cities. "Wetworks" seems to be to be more in character for Wyvern as well, but I guess I'll reserve judgement until I get a chance to play the missions.

Psi Melee...now that is what I really want to test.

I guess you will have to wait until "later this year" according to Posi.

That's why I mean it's strange - players who want to play gray don't actuaöyl get any gray content until 10 levels after they can switch - like a Vigilante at 20 finds that they're still either doing full-on Hero content, or now have access to full-on Villain content, while a Rogue at 20 discovers that they continue to have access to full-on Villain content, while now getting to play full-on Hero content - if the new gray arcs started at 20, Vigilantes and Rogues would get them as an instant unlock once they'd turned gray, which would flow much better - they'd see instant results for their actions.

It sounds like it's planned to release during the I24 development period, so anytime up until I25

Excellent point. I'd be curious to hear about the whys and wherefore's in that respect. I suppose it might be that they figure that the alignment missions themselves are content enough at those levels and that the new content is more to give them something else to do than repeat the same tip missions over and over.

My guess is that they chose 30-40 to tie in with the 30-50 blue and red stuff in I24, and plan to release 20-30 and 40-50 gray arcs in the future.

*pout*

On the flip side, I blundered into a concept while taking a look at the new animation for spines. I may be okay waiting for psi melee, since I can make the spines character now for double xp weekend.

I suspect it's in part due to the fact that there is just a ridiculous amount of content in the 20-30 range at this point, and very little (in comparison) 30-40. Hence, it was probably realized that introducing yet more 20-30 arcs would probably just be bad PR.

I think that the warm tears of gratitude from the grays would have drowned out any complaints about more 20-30 content

While there are probably design reasons for this decision, I like to think that much in the way you have to have been an established villain or hero(I.e. level 20 or higher) to "turn" you'd have to have been a rogue or vigilante for a while before people would consider you "grey" enough for their "questionable" work.
