I played water polo the other day..
It was terrible...
My horse drowned... -

Is anyone else not expecting that much of a drastic change?

Me. -
I have no idea. But this is in the wrong forum section.

Didn't they add the ambush on the first mission, because people where complaining it was to easy?
If an ITF can be completed with a team of just scrappers then it really don't need toning down. IMO. -

I would love a carnie sf, a pirate sf and some more gm's. There are 4 redside gm's right? All i can remember right now is Scrapyard, Deathsurge, Caleb and the flier.
[/ QUOTE ]
A little off topic but yeh those four, excluding the dual zone ones.
9 on Heros (10 really, but Sally not really a GM)
compared to 4 Vills side.
Just more evidence of unbalancednessness.
[/ QUOTE ]
How many zones do Heroes have again? Villains would need more zones for GMs. Because adding more to the zones that already have them would only make people complain about Heroes not having more then 1 GM a zone. But Villains could have a few more GMs though. One in Mercy Island. One in Port Oaks and one in St Martial. That would bring villains up to 7 GMs. Still not as many as Heroes. -

10 -15, 40-45.
The 40-45 gap is HORRIBLE. Its like, oh well you can run ITF all the time. Well...yesss, but thats kinda beside the point.
Also, while on the subject of Villain TFS, PLEASE dear GOD cut the ammount of Longbow Hunt missions in the Leviathan SF! Its....AURGHH. Yes, that about sums it up. Sersiously. Why are there so many Hunt missions in general?
[/ QUOTE ]
Don't forget the gap in the shape of 30-35. I agree Villains needs more TFs. /signed -
Oh man.
Crusader: No Remorse. That brings back memories. Think I still have that game lying around somewhere.

Yer I think something is up with it. I can't search anything without it saying the site could harm my PC.

Why do you think that it is so ridiculous that players use conceptual reasons to create there characters? Most of the people I know in game seam to base their characters on concept instead of playability. Many people that I have talked to in PUGs say that they choose power sets because of the look or because a certain power looked really good. They don't seam to know the best numbers for it. They want to have fun.
Reading the descriptions of SS and Willpower, the too sets seam to fit together very well, conceptually. How can you be so sure that they are all so concerned about the numbers?
[/ QUOTE ]
It may be true that some players rol it for concept reasons, but i doubt its the reason for most of them.
I know 12 players using that combo and they all rolled it because its great.
Maybe its only the players i know and all others do it for concept but i doubt it.. but who knows :-)
[/ QUOTE ]
I had a SS/Invul Brute once, then deleted it. I then made a WM/WP Brute because I fancied something diff that I hadn't tried yet. Most of the people I know have chosen power sets because they haven't tried it yet or because it went with their concept. And judging by some of the things you have said you know a lot about farming. And a guess them 12 friends of yours who picked SS/WP enjoy farming to. Which would explain why the picked them powers. Also, I have read a lot of this thread because it amuses me. And you contradict yourself a lot I must say. -

before you go calling Nerf on things here's some things to check once you've checked them all come back here with your numbers and truly prove your point.
compare all the brute primaries to each other without considering secondarys do take into account the type of damage they do and any secondary effects they have
now do the same for the secondary
now compare each and every combination possible so SS/WP SS/elec SS/energy SS/dark SS/SR DM/WP DM/fire DM/elec etc etc etc
then do the same but take into account the power pools and patron pools
now do this with training origin enhancements up to the appropriate lvl
now do it with DOs
now do it with SOs
now do it with higher value IOs eg those that give a better percentage than a standard SO
now do it with HOs
now do it using cheeps IO sets
now do it using expensive IO sets
now do it optimising for specific stats so best end recovery best resistance values best recharge boost
now do it for a completely optimised best it can be build using IOs (standard and invention)
now do it using purple IOs
right done all that?..good now take all that data and now do the same thing for every AT villain side once you've done that start comparing the many many different brute builds that you've came up with in different team makeups until you've tried each brute build with each possible team make up.
Once you've done all that and seen how a build changes dependent on level, slotting, and team make up you can go on to see how your individual brute builds perform against different enemy groups (you should also do this for the teams)
and now that you've done all this you can come and say
"X power set is overpowered"
until that point all you can say is "well i think X power set is overpowered but i cant prove it" because half arsed numbers you put together from comparing 1 type of power or 1 aspect of something don't = proof.

I loved to play CoX for a long time now and i always loved the diversity of powers, but lately its starting to get dull.
95% of all brutes are SS/WP.
There is really no reason to roll other combos apart from SS/WP, since SS is the best st AND aoe damg primary and WP is by far the best seconadry.
ALL other primaries and secondaries suck compared to those 2.
I am no fan of nerfs but SS needed a nerf a long time ago, like reduced radius of FS and non stackable rage.
Nothing comes close to WP in survivability.
Granite tanks/brutes have to deal with - rech, - dmg and almost no run speed to compensate the lvl of survivability.
WP has even better survivability with NO downsides at all.
I know ppl dont like nerfs but its a question of balance and reason.
IMO those 2 sets need to be toned down in order to not make others set meaningless.
P.S: I got a SS/Wp too :-)
[/ QUOTE ]
HELL NO!
If they did that then a Fire/Kin nerf would come next. Then /rad. Because they are powerful combos too.
Edit. I have a WP Scrapper, Brute and Stalker. But I don't have a toon with SS. Yes my Willpower Brute can survive better then my Shield Brute. But who the hell cares? -
Love this idea. /signed
Would also love something similar but give costume parts. Taken from the idea above. Council/5th related parts. Like the shoulder pads/boots/gloves. I remember a souvenir on villains being a hat. How about be able to use that hat as a costume part or base display item?
My 2 pennies. -

First of all, stone tanks are famed for being slow but you often see them moving very fast indeed. This is because both of the bread and butter powers (Granite Armour and Rooted) have huge movement speed penalties. The obvious thing to do is slot heavily for base movement speed so when these powers are off, your average stone tank tends to be very frisky!
The other irony is that stone tankers are very reluctant to use their signature power! Not only does Granite Armour slow you to a crawl, it also has enormous recharge and damage penalties. Once you've switched it on, you may as well go and make a cup of tea until the damage toons have cleaned up 'cos you're not going to contribute much else.
[/ QUOTE ]
I've slotted mine for base movement speed and recharge speed. Plus, with hasten you don't have to worry about slow attack power. And a Stoner or any Tanker for that matter not attacking would make their inherent (Gauntlet) useless. -

Ok so im running around doing my hero
bit taking down bad guys when I thinks
to myself I need some tunes.
On a whim I loaded up the Joe 90 theme
and I couldnt stop laughing as it blasted
out as I ran about bashing stuff.
Trolling through my Mp3's I hooked up
Captain Scarlett and then Space 1999
followed by the old fav Hawaii Five-0.
Soooo although it is a sad thing it was
such a grin it got me to wondering if you
peeps could come up with some more suitable
theme songs to make up a playlist for me to
run when im charging around smashing bad
guys.

That's one I'm working on myself. I have almost 10 out of them 16. I counted 14 but I'm guessing you mean Bane Spider and Crab Spider separate ? -
Another weird build is a MM without pets. (Blastermind?)
Of all of them you have listed I've only done number 1. Was the Rikti War Lord on a Zombie/Dark MM.
You missed out collecting badges. Only some are a challenge. Such as healing/damage taken/inf earned etc.
Edit: (thanks Cynic). Done an all scrapper ITF in the past and last night did an all MM ITF. Mad lag but loads of fun. Took us about 2.40 minutes to do mostly due to lag hill looking more like a screenshot at times. ALso got all blaster/all corrupter/all dominater ITF planned. -
Conga Rats Nightmarer.
It is a real shame it might be your last 50. Your a great player and will be missed by many.
But I will say good luck to you US side!! You will be back EU side when re-activation weekends come along. -
