It isn't just you. It's all over slashdot, digg, and other sites I care not to mention. Someone at Google pushed the wrong button.

Nemesis plot, I'm tellin' ya...

Yeah, I just noticed this myself. It seems to be declaring every site as unsafe... even when you search for Google itself

(Not sure if this is the right section for this post, but just thought I'd let you know you're not the only one.)

Google is perfectly fine for me. I suggest you people check your HOSTS file. Found in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

supose if you wont to be pedantic any search engine or search site could point you in the direction of something that could harm your machine but is more than likely somebodys forgot to feed the geeks that look after the site so they are begining to make misstakes

ZoneAlarm decided to block the link as a 'spy site', so either ZA is over-sensitive or don't click the link

The above is only my opinion, please don't hate me for it

It's very much over-sensitive.
The amount that I use that site should mean that my pc is a nervous wreck by now. (which it isn't)

Then why not give us the link in clear, instead of obfuscating it in tinyurl? I trust those about as far as I can throw a planet. How are we to know it's not a dodgy link?

"The internet search engine works with stopbadware.org to ascertain which sites install malicious software on people's computers and merit a warning.
The list of malevolent sites is regularly updated and handed to Google.
When Google updated the list on Saturday, it mistakenly flagged all sites as potentially dangerous."

So there you go. A search engine decided that every site should be marked as a no-go area. Bit like the companies who create the lists of sites that other companies buy for their corporate filters. A complete waste of time and space.

Because then the whole point of that site would become obsolete.
And before you or anyone says it... It's purpose is not to spread trojans or viruses.

Well then.

Most likely it's the javascript on the site that marks it as being bad. Shame for them. And more fun for me.
(I tend to overuse that site on another forum... )

Don't see a problem there - Its not as if its a surprise that searching for Google on their own site returns their products first.

Mistake or not, the result was the same. Since Google exists to serve search results to customers (and makes a hell of a lot of money doing so). UNder the circumstances you'd imagine their people would be a bit more careful when uploading ban lists and such things to their servers. You could understand it affecting a small mumber of sites but the entire internet is rank stupidity.
