Yeah, it definitely looks like a Silencer who has had every detail except the armour colour changed.
That's my smart alec way of saying they look nothing alike, not even the things you pointed out, which in the case of the faceplate and weapon, are flat out completely wrong.

what I thought to be a part of faceplate is a gas mask of some sort, but they still look similar enouugh to me, YMMW.

I was thinking the same thing, although clone armor is a lot like bobas armor anyway since its just basically remade mandalorian armor.

I dont think it looks at all like the crey armor though, but a little like the space marines one. You cant really help it though when you go for a more tech style look, they nearly always end up the same.
