Quote:Loki could carry the movie as the big bad villain...appears he has the Cosmic Cube..as well Hiddleston himself stated that Loki has been meeting with the nastiest of the nastiest in the Universe since we last saw him....he is a master manipulator but also was Thor's equal in their fight....Thor only beat him due to the fact that he outsmarted Loki....twice...once with using Mjolnir to trap him and once by destroying the bridge...But Loki with the McGuffin/Cosmic Cube could still be the real villain.
That wouldn't sit well with Loki at all...since he thought Thor was an oaf...he may not come off as a huge threat all the time in the comics but that isn't what he desires all the time...he would rather sit back and manipulate the Hulk into fighting Thor..."this" Loki could be a darker...more lethal character who has had their psyche consumed by his hatred of Thor....Odin....and Migard as it was on Migard Thor changed... -

My favorite Transformer of all time is Galvatron...but only the Galvatron that appeared in season 3 of G1....the G1 Movie Galvatron was boring....he was basically Megatron with a headache issue....crazy Galvatron presented many different options story wise...I loved seeing him smack Blitzwing around or shoot random Sweeps...he was unpredictable....and his insanity gave an out for him failing...where as Megatron failed constantly due to poor planning and execution I guess...the unpredictability of Galvatron is both a plus and a minus...
I guess maybe I also like crazy characters as my fav DC comic character is Jean Paul Valley as Azrael...and maybe why I don't read DC any longer.. -
Quote:I bought the Director's Cut and then handed my theatrical cut to some kid on the street....a better film for sure...Daredevil:- Directors' cut is twice the film the Theatrical release is. And the ending makes sense in the Directors' cut!
My Guilty Pleasures film wise are:
Troy
Any of The Crow sequels as I own them all
Bedazzled
Van Helsing -
BTW....I love the current Thor look for the show....it looks sharp....not sold on Ultimate Captain America but I think the new weapon they mention is the laser type of shield we see James use in Next Avengers based on the gadget on his left wrist....Iron Man and Hulk are Meh! to me....

Quote:Noticed this little snippet while checking some related links from the Little Thor Vid.
Apparently, the front half of A:EMH is gonna be out on 4/26. From the youtube description:
Clip is from Gamma World, part 2, IIRC.
I doubt the micro-eps are gonna be in the Vol 1 & 2 releases, but who knows.
Thank you for the time...
The micro episodes will be a part of the Volume 1 release...
"Not only will Iron Man get a brand new suit of armor in season two, Thor will be donning a costume more similar to his current Olivier Coipel/movie-style dudes with Captain America going a bit more "Ultimate" and the Hulk adorning transformation-friendly elastic shorts. Black Panther's new look is also addressed, but his costume is currently being withheld to prevent spoiling the team's upcoming animated adventures. Wasp's season two look isn't mentioned in the short clip, but it's easy to imagine the fashionista changing her attire at the same rate her comic book counterpart has been known to."
Here's an episode breakdown for each of the two volumes out April 26:
Volume 1:
1. Iron Man Is Born!
2. Thor The Mighty
3. Hulk Versus The World
4. Meet Captain America
5. The Man in the Ant Hill
6. Breakout: Part 1
7. Breakout: Part 2
Volume 2:
8. Some Assembly Required
9. Living Legend
10. Everything Is Wonderful
11. Panther's Quest
12. Gamma World: Part1
13. Gamma World: Part 2
The link below shows the new looks for Thor...Iron Man and Cap as well announce Panther will have a new look that is story driven and they won't say more about it...

It is also rated at 94% fresh at Rottem Tomatoes based on 16 reviews...as a long time Thor fan I am VERY excited about the great reviews...

Empire movie magazine just gave the movie a 4 out of 5....here is a snippet:
" Theres a neat tonal shift, as human beings meet Thor (and, later, in the films funniest moment, the Warriors Three and Sif) and find everything he does or says ridiculous. Here, Hemsworth the Australian actor who impressed so much with his one-scene cameo in Star Trek as Kirks doomed dad comes into his own, adding new layers of humility and humour to his blustering God Of Thunder. At one point, Thor fights off hospital orderlies with an outraged, You DARE attack the son of Odin?!?. The fish out of water stuff works like a charm. Hemsworth emerges from this a true star, adept at action, good with comedy, swell at the romantic stuff with Natalie Portmans Jane Foster (theres a romantic streak a mile wide here) and cut like Kate Middletons engagement rock.
In fact, youre instantly intrigued by the prospect of seeing Hemsworth on screen with Robert Downey Jr. (and Chris Evans) in next years The Avengers. Marvel copped flak for turning Iron Man 2 into essentially an extended trailer for its big gamble, and has clearly learned a lesson. Yes, SHIELD is involved. Yes, Jeremy Renner shows up for one spectacularly pointless scene as the ace archer, Hawkeye. But Thor, ultimately, stands on its own two feet. Well toast that with a glass of mead and a feast fit for a king. Hold the cheese." -
I just plainly do not like Snyder...so I find it very difficult to sit down and watch anything he has had his hands on...I lump him into the Michael Bay bin...they strive for flash but I feel like I am left wanting something with a little more substance...
Maybe they should both work on a project together!!! "Transformers: 300 Suckerpunches On The Dawn Of The Dead" -
Azrael (Jean Paul Valley) ....you could play up the angle of him struggling againts his programming of "The System" and have the main villains be The Order Of St. Dumas...
I started a screenplay and will message it to anyone who wants to read the few pages I have written... -
I would like to think Thor had been iconic before the movie this year but I also know he has usually been tagged as "the guy Marvel pits someone against when they want to establish how powerful a character is"
He is still used that way (see Red Hulk) but had also had some great moments since JMS and Coipel relaunched the book....although Fraction's run is very "meh" to me...
I know the character has been around a long time but I also think alot of comic fans (outside of those who rwad his book) always seen him as more of a supporting character...the movie may change that... -

Quote:I agree....if in the times of vikings Odin and Thor etc set foot on Earth....would they not been seen as "gods" to those people???....even if they were alien...they would still be worshipped and placed in that place by man...as man evolves through the ages...well..they would be further engrained as gods...I was always under the impression that the Marvel pantheons (Norse, Greek, etc.) were supposed to be some sort of nigh-immortal cosmic beings who also just happened to be worshipped by the people of Earth. (Alex Ross's Earth X series and its sequels twisted that idea to some extent, saying that Odin was originally a mortal who came upon a race of shapeshifting aliens and molded their bodies and minds to suit his own whims and ambitions, eventually becoming nearly immortal as they were.)
Having the Asgardians be "aliens" from some other dimension/higher plane of existence doesn't necessarily invalidate their status as gods compared to the people of Midgard. -

Loved finally seeing Thor on tv...there were a few new scenes in this trailer....the scene of some creature right before he throws the hammer and the scene where Jane asks "Who are you?" and Thor says "You will see soon enough"...and she replies "god i hope you are not crazy" which causes Thor to chuckle...
-
Depends for me....with the tie-in to mythology and the fantasy world I find Thor an interesting character when handled right....JMS and Gillen knew how to do this in the current run but Fraction has no idea at this point...
I also like a wild card character like Jean-Paul Valley as Azrael...the confusion in his mind with The Order Of St. Dumas and "The System"...the way he battles to stay in control and do the right thing or fall completely into the abyss...I loved the character as he was something different...
If I am in a mood to just be mindlessly entertained I will gravitate towards Deadpool...yes there is action and sometimes a story but I do like the randomness of where the story could go with him... -

Quote:I am really unsure of how I feel about this yet...Flash Thompson, as many guessed.
More details in the link. -
I appreciate ....
- The hard work and effort by the devs to not just keep this amazing game going but keeping it fresh and how they do reach out to the playerbase continously...
- That I have had, for the past 75 months, a way to see my characters come to life in other ways than just own written stories and self made comics...
- That there is more than just sci-fi and fantasy MMOs out there and this game was the start of this for me...
- The free comic books that used to be sent to each sunscriber....I still think it was amazing to recieve the City Of Heroes books each month whether it was Blue King or Top Cow...I didn't care...
- The return of the 5th Column...people may see this as lame but they are my favorite enemy group and running around Steel Canyon was just not the same with the "poser" Council standing around...
- The playerbase that frequents the forums...I may not always agree with the posts I see but I do know I will get lots of opinion here and some good reads ... -
I will admit I had very low expectations for the show...but...
The intro is not the worst in the world...I dont mind the song...it is much better than half the garbage that anime shows that are brought over to North America use...for whatever reason I find that song fits that intro...
I was worried about the way they would use Thor...I am a huge Thor fan and was expecting Thor to be doing the job to villains so Hulk could jump in and make the save...but they have really done a great job at showing his disconnect from the world of mortals and he is seen as a major player...the moment where he deflects Kang'd blast at New York was epic...especially the "For Migard!!!!' moment...
Each member is different and brings something different to the mix...and this is handled really well....it is just not there abilities but their personalities are also unique and mesh together well...there is also no "interchangeable parts" vibe to the team which is good...you just can not just plug Wasp in and remove Hawkeye and have it come off the same...
I think as long as the series continues as it is....it is a gem for Marvel...they have had very few animated shows that I feel were must watch...the 90's Spiderman was one...this is so purchase worthy when it is released on DVD... -
What if the dance emote is not an emote at all...but primal and praetorian Hami having a dance in the moonlight......that should be a new TF..."Break up the Hami Dance!"
-
Quote:The run JMS had on Thor was very good...I am a huge Thor fan and I hold it almost in as high a regard as Simonson's....*shrug* editorial meddling. it's one of the reasons he eventually left the book. those kids were originally supposed to be Pete and Gwen's, but Joephisto thought Peter having sex, with his girlfriend... during the 1960s.... was unpossible, and thought it made much more sense that Gwen boned Norman instead... not one of the better moments, but im not blaming JMS.
also, i guess im one of like ten fans who thought the totem concept was probably one of the more original ideas to go through the comic in some time. But that's me. -
Quote:This has been helpful!!Not sure. Just played for about an hour and based on info from my server's badge channel got 2 Halloween tips, and thus 3 badges.
Here's what I know
-You get it from clicking on the door, not defeating mobs.
-You need to be wearing a costume power (from the event or from a code)
-It doesn't matter if you already have 3 tips it will still drop.
-you should stay after mission complete and defeat the Praetorian Clockworks for that badge too. -
Do you need Going Rogue to get them???...My brother doesnt have GR yet and asked me but I could not find a link stating one way or the other....my search fu may be weak tho....I told him I would assume you wouldn't as you can get tips without GR but not the morality ones of course...
