  3. With the condition we, PvPers, are suffering, attack powers from pool power sets doing more damage than what we have in our primary/secondary power sets, this frankenbuilt build seems to work better than what we would normally/usually build.

    Well I picked Scrapper, then again, randomly picked Spines and Dark Armor, but it means nothing, since the point here I'm trying to make is attack powers from pools are doing much more damages than how much our attack powers from primary/secondary power sets do.

    I just got back to the game, so I'm still pretty lost. Please make the build better if you don't mind... to show devs what's really going on. (though I'm pretty darn sure they don't really read PvP forums.......)

    From my non-PvPer perspective, having a completely different set of rules for PvP makes me even less likely to try it out. I don't know if it makes it more casual friendly or not, but the very idea that my character will function completely differently in PvP is a point against it in my book. So if it was done to entice non-PvPers into PvP, my guess (having absolutely no data) is that it was a failure. Same with the PvP IOs, which appear (again with absolutely no data to back this up) to have done nothing but encourage PvP farming rather than actual PvP.

    I can't believe I'm complaining about changes that don't even affect me, but yeah. Even as a complete outsider, it sounds like it's taken an already poor add on feature and made it worse. Hopefully I'm wrong, because I think the PvP community deserves better than they seem to have gotten in this game and in the recent changes.

  8. Well, if you set your PB like what SB's said, you shouldn't be getting attacked unless you're facing flying stalkers or someone TPF you, IMO. Fly high, hit, hit, hit, fly higher if you see someone comes near you, hit, hit, hit, hit, ...

    That's what I'd do.

    PLUS, if your squid is being attacked, go dwarf. Otherwise you'll facepland just like normal squish squids. Even dwarf forms go down pretty quickly as far as I remember. (Though I have no idea these days b/c I just got back to the game... well... sort of got back =x Not completely xP)

    Well, you seem to be right T-GoG. The search function is not the best on these forums. You are also right that the majority of the builds around are primarily for PvE. I found a few generic guides in the how to sticky at the top of the brute main page.

    It might be good that you forgot so much about PVP, because it is radically different than it used to be AFAIK. The trend seems to be that longer animating attacks are more damaging, but most of the pool powers are more damaging than powers in your primary set. You might have to do some tinkering around and find something that works for you. Do you have Mids Builder installed? I don't typically do a lot of work with it, but I find that is is helpful to have and plan a build.

    Not sure what the consensus is on PvP IOs, but I find that some sets look pretty good numberwise. It might be worth looking into some of those.

    The funny part is that EM is like "ONLY FOR PvP" power... which they don't give a s$#% about nor even care about. But they're just nerfing it =/ I really don't get the reason =X

    Being an EM on a PvE teams... you know =/ it sucks... as hell. I, even a big fan of EM, would prefer something else if I try to build a PvE team (even in farms).

    But its PvP part "was" so great and that caused them to nerf it? =O hmm maybe this is something like what happened to Spines for its fugly outlook(ended up nerfing it).
