Thats what I thought, another question, do all the pet IOs work in it, like the def bonus and the chance to build up, do the def bonus and def aura ios give you defence or just the pet?
the pet IOs work in it, to the best of my knowledge, but it isn't like most pets.
It can not be targeted, and also it has no HP, so the def bonus doesn't affect it, nor does it affect you. I believe the chance to build up effects VS but in that regard, VS only has one attack, so only a couple, maybe two or three, attacks (which are like Charged Bolts) would truly be affected by it.
The thing VS DOES give you is a major defiance boost. Which can be pretty slick if you cast it before or after AIM and Build Up, i used to do that sometimes on my Elec/MM/Fire.
to answer your queston no you cant..now back in the day you could summon 9 fire imps and 3 pets if u had the recharge for it but they fixed that before i ever even started playing the game.

while it would seem logical that a power that is perma out of the box and intangible, that accepts recharge would gain some benefit from it, but alas it doesn't.
