A good SS/FA build?

Hello, people.

Listening to people, saying /Elec sucks in PvP these days, I decided to build what's doing pretty well in general in PvP, and I ended up choosing SS/FA from asking some of PvPers and people on the forum (thanks again xP).

But then the problem rises to the surface.

Just getting back to the game from a long vacation, I've lost all of the memories about how to make good PvP builds.

Could anyone give me a SS/FA PvP build that I can use as a rough draft? (thinking to use web but w/e)

Helps would be very appreciated.

Thanks all.
Jin.

I am pretty sure there are several SS/FA builds that have come about in the past several days that you can use as a template for your build. This is one of the most talked about combos right now, so finding info shouldn't be very difficult.

Words to the wise aren't necessary- it's the stupid ones that need them.

Well =/ the problem is that I couldn't(probably b/c of sucky searching skills =X) find any SS/FA that's built for PvP mainly. =/

If you don't mind, would you find me one? =)

Thanks.
Jin.

Edit: NEVERMIND! Yeah goofy me. Wasn't thinking to search PvP forum =x

Well, you seem to be right T-GoG. The search function is not the best on these forums. You are also right that the majority of the builds around are primarily for PvE. I found a few generic guides in the how to sticky at the top of the brute main page.

It might be good that you forgot so much about PVP, because it is radically different than it used to be AFAIK. The trend seems to be that longer animating attacks are more damaging, but most of the pool powers are more damaging than powers in your primary set. You might have to do some tinkering around and find something that works for you. Do you have Mids Builder installed? I don't typically do a lot of work with it, but I find that is is helpful to have and plan a build.

Not sure what the consensus is on PvP IOs, but I find that some sets look pretty good numberwise. It might be worth looking into some of those.

Glad you thought of searching the PvP forums too.

PvP is broken.

I tried it too (this new i13 pvp system) with my SS/FA. Well until I discovered my primary attacks : Punch, Haymaker, KO Blow were totally useless there, because Air Superiority, Kick, Boxing, Flurry deal twice as more dmg...

The best advice I can give you is to check it by yourself. Set up your Mids in PvP mode (Options, Configuration, Effect&Maths) and look carefully at the dmg of each attack.

You'll see that you only need Hurl and Rage from SS/. Rage because its ToHit and dmg bonus still apply in PvP, and Hurl because it's a range attack.

On the /FA side, it's really good mainly because of its self heal : it heals alot, recharges fast... but not that fast it should be affected by DRs.

Anyway, try by yourself and good luck

Yes, I installed Mids about a week ago. (and heard that Mids pulled himself out from it then that Steiner took over Mids.)

By the way...

Yeah, while I was searching for a few changes that I was interested, I've read what you've mentioned. =/

Should I start giving Dev's a big "LOL" or maybe start whining?
