Quote:In regards to the text I bolded and enlarged the font for I have two things to say.So I have to say I am extremely apointed and happy with Street Justice .
The set is just plain sweet... the aoe's are so cool as to be kickass, and a 5 target limit on one and a 10 on the other.
ITs funferior to SS in both single and aoe damage.
The set was changed from the time it came off beta but before live, and did not go back on test.
This feels rather kick and butt, even though it was kickbutt live.
To move onto a general point, will we be able to get more sets, powers, etc that we feel appointed with.
There was a way to view the real stats before purchasing, so again I feel this was a somewhat kickbutt.
I am EXTREMELY happy with this.

No. Not correct in the slightest.

Contacts are sometimes put into the game before the content for them is released.
A few examples would be the contacts for the first SSA set, the submarines that were the gateways between redside and blueside for people that changed their alliance and possibly a few others throughout the history of the game.
Just because a contact is there doesn't mean they are going to talk to you about something that hasn't been released. -

Quote:Monumental day.Having read your posts for years and having done my fair share of work in retail, I can say without hesitation you are emblematic of the type of customer I would go to great lengths to lose.
Once again I am agreeing with Venture.
I'm beginning to feel sick just typing that sentence.
Then again, I begin to remember why some people used to be on my ignore list before I decided to be charitable and wipe the slate clean. -

Quote:Suggestions and Ideas forums. Also, what would be the appropriate forum to offer up this suggestion to the Devs?
-
Sorry Judads, been away from the forums for a few days. I don't get to play with the newer nVidia cards much, so I'm not sure what issues they may be having with drivers.
-
Quote:Our Devs don't operate that way.or a Dev wanted the name I had and saw the character hadnt been touched since creation and made it go poof.
Even if it had been a name that had been Generic'd, the character is still there just with a GenericXXXX name and an email with instructions on how to select a new name.
EDIT: Out of curiosity, are you sure you are looking at the correct page of characters? There are little arrows at the bottom that shift the columns. Perhaps the character you are looking for is on a different page. -
You need to click the little flags to go to the correct codes. You are eiterh generating a US code and trying to apply it to an EU account or you are trying to generating an EU code and trying to apply it to a US account.
-
As Beastyle said, if you are getting the message that the code has already been claimed, it's due to you having applied it on another account previously. Cookies, temp files, something in the cache is set to give you the same code of you've already gotten on.
That being said, there are ways to get around this so that you can get a valid code for a second account.
But I'm not saying what it is for fear of the OCR team playing ping-pong with my forum account and me losing posting priveleges. -

Please post a HiJackThis log as well. It's possible that this is a conflict with other software on the computer.
Can you launch the game in Safe Mode? Open the NCSoft Launcher but don't launch the game yet. Right-click the City of Heroes entry and select Properties. In the lower left put a check in Launch in Safe Mode and click OK. Start the game. Does it fully launch? -
I upgraded a few days ago, but since I only solo didn't feel like posting yet. Friday night was the Praetorian Invasion on Justice. I again didn't team, but was in the middle of the fighting on my Rad/Dark Defender.
I didn't time how long the Invasion went on, but it was around 2 hours, then headed to Pocket D to get titles with everyone else.
Not a stutter, not a hitch, not a problem at all occurred. No noticeable lag either despite all of the characters, powers, enemies and f/x going on. Graphics settings are on the High side with several set to Ultra.
Looks like a keeper to me.
As always, I uninstalled, ran Driver Sweeper in Safe Mode, then reinstalled in normal Windows mode. -
A thought just occurred to me. It's a wild shot in the dark, but worth a try.
Go into the game installation folder, go into the folder with your username, delete or rename the playerslots.txt file and try to launch the game.
Perhaps that file is corrupted somehow and that's why it's hanging. -
Sorry man, I don't know what else to suggest from here.
Hopefully support will be able to come up with something. -
Quote:To clarify, there are a series of 3 arcs with these contacts. The arcs open each new stage at 5, 10, and 15.Yeah, just start a new character, you get a lil narrative and see the action as it happens.
It's really really short, honestly. They've compressed a lot of things from the old tutorial, and drawn out other elements into the 'newbie hero/villain' arc with Twinshot/Dr. Graves.
The hero arc is entertaining as well as informative. I'd assume the villain arc is as well.
I'll probably run them on a few new characters. It's easy leveling solo. -
I only use it on our local domain network and only using a password.
Sounds like that will at least still work. -
If that's what passes for journalism today ...

In the Download table on this page, it is the third download in the Windows section. It's labeled "Viewer executable, does not require installation".
Since it run on XP, Vista and 7 and allows me to connect with any of those three no matter which version of TightVNC they are running, I just keep using this older viewer for the small size and portability. -
Apparently you and I are talking about two different things.
It's a standalone app that requires no installation. -
Quote:Because they are Defenders and their description says they are support characters and ranged characters.5 Time Manipulation defenders shouldn't have ANYTHING to worry about in melee range if they all stay together. If they are all running Time's Juncture they will be hitting anything within 25 feet of them with over 50% worth of to-hit debuffs (11% or so each, unslotted, and it's autohit)
That's what confused me about the OPs story. There are multiple Time Manipulators, why the hell aren't they debuffing the crap out of everything by staying in melee range of it?
Ranged characters aren't supposed to go into melee.
In the Character Creator is says this about Defenders:
Quote:
The Defender tends to help his allies, and attack his foes, from a distance. The Defender excels at powers that assist friends, but can also hinder his enemies. The Defender is able to attack at quite a range, however, the Defender is not built for hand to hand. He might be able to dodge a few attacks, but the Defender won't last for long.

In small claims court the judge would likely take most of those things into consideration when determining what is a reasonable amount of downtime.
Even if it were handled as a Class Action the judges would likely take all of those matters into consideration. -
What OS version are you running? There are some font size changes that can be made in Windows that can affect this. Knowing the specific version will help me to give better instructions on how to fix it.
