I have done everything I can think of so far (updating drivers, virus scan, defrag, error scan, etc) and the game still stops at the "loading" bar before login. Here's my CoH Helper data:

Help!

Please post a HiJackThis log as well. It's possible that this is a conflict with other software on the computer.

Can you launch the game in Safe Mode? Open the NCSoft Launcher but don't launch the game yet. Right-click the City of Heroes entry and select Properties. In the lower left put a check in Launch in Safe Mode and click OK. Start the game. Does it fully launch?

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Black Pebble is my new hero.

Hey Babylon,

While I would post HiJackThis as Texas said, you could also give it a go to the suggestions in this post from @MorganReed that were offered when i was having the same problem as you:

The last one was the one that fixed my problem.

Good luck!

Hi Arda

It was the last one that worked for me too. I was getting really frustrated and the problem seemed to come out of nowhere 9I went to have lunch and when I came back I just couldn't load in1). But deleting that pesky CoX file worked - as soon as I'd found it!

Thanks for reposting what @MorganReed put - it really helped!

I installed the launcher and the game.
I discovered why I " seemed " stuck on loading bar.

Even though I had just downloaded the game, it was downloading an update the first time I tried to start the game (322 MB).

I RIGHT clicked on "City of Heroes" in the launchers menu and clicked "Update" and found there was already one in progress.

Im almost done downloading the behind the scene update. I HOPE the game will play once its done.

ChuckFL
