    SS on a Brute

    Like Deus said it completely comes down to personal preference, my friend deleted his ss brute and re-rolled it as an elec whereas I love the set and currently have 6-7 toons with it at 50. I usually put procs in brawl and boxing and use them along with the sands of mu vet reward to put out at least some damage during the crash.

    It was due to be released as part of going rogue but was pushed back so I assume GR is required to use it.
  4. If you can get it up often enough it works wonders, I was using an Arch/MM to farm, drain psyche was 5 slotted with doctored wounds for the recharge bonus (no fitness pool) and I still rarely had problems unless I was fighting something that took longer to kill than the effects lasted.
  5. I just use the warrior clan farm mission from Maria Jenkins. RoA + Drain Psyche pretty much kills everything, although I do it at +0 X8 no bosses as I don't see much point in putting the rep higher than that if you're purple farming.

I can't remember exactly what was said but I think it's issue 19 so it would be fall Arch/mm is an awesome pairing, the only problem I find is waiting around for powers to recharge after the mobs dead but I haven't finished it yet (couple of purple sets short) so my recharge times have yet to go up.
  9. Nvm, didn't read the whole of your post. I'm not exactly sure why you'd be able to pick the level 44 powers without the level 41. Guessing it's a bug as I've not heard anyone else make mention of it.
  10. Bots are great damage dealers, once you get your assault bot and the second upgrade you just tear through things, for slotting the bots I usually use blood mandates as they are cheap, have decent bonuses and give good acc/dam/end. I don't have any /traps toons so I'm not sure about the power selections but I would probably do it like this.

  11. Ok, this is what I plan on changing to once fitness goes inherent. I built it using Leandros mod so if you don't have that just pretend there is health and stamina with a miracle proc in health and one end mod IO with a performance shifter proc in stamina It won't be much good for teaming as it relies on drain psyche and most mobs won't survive long enough for you to be gaining much from it, however in solo farms it should be good enough. Also it's pretty expensive so unless the funds are already available it could take a while to get it finished.

  12. Most of the powers you chose are what I'd take, however, if you're soloing with no bosses you could get away without the fitness pool, drain psyche is just awesome. The fitness pool is also due to be made inherent so that would free up 3 more power picks. I use leandro's mod for planning my future builds out now. http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?p=3185196. Stick a stealth proc in super speed, run into a mob, hit your build ups, RoA/Drain Psyche/psychic shockwave then just mob up what's left. Best to try and softcap s/l then build for recharge. Good luck with it
  13. You have force feedback active in that build, it's only active for a short duration once it procs (think it's 5 seconds but not sure on that) and has a cooldown too. Changed your build around a bit to get more recharge, defences are lower but you're still at the softcap. Boost range only needs one slot as it is perma with one recharge IO. Also for the majority of the content this game has to offer you don't need that much knockback protection.

    Ok, working from munkilords build this is what I came up with, I swapped out SM for dark consumption as I feel that will be needed more in a long fight. The end consumption has gone up but so has the recovery, lost some hitpoints and gained perma hasten. The gladiators armor proc has also been dropped. Swapped combat jumping for manuevers. I also thought the lack of accuracy in smite might hinder the damage output somewhat so I changed round the slotting on that too.

    I was told that MG/Smite/SL/Smite was the best attack chain for soloing AVs and I'm not really very fond of Shadow maul to be honest. I'll try and take some ideas from your build and incorporate it in. Thanks again for the replies.

    Yeah elec fences prevents knockdown. I used it on my ss/wp farmer for a while then switched out for Mu lightning as I was built for recharge so my main defence was keeping things on the floor.

The reason I took rage that late is the rage crash is pretty unbearable at lower lvls and it's hard to find space later in the build. It was planned out as I would lvl and not how it would be respecced into, my bad for not mentioning that in the OP

  25. I did another build shooting for def, couldn't quite get to the softcap Your attacks won't do as much either. I've never had a farming tank so I can't really comment on it, had a ss/wp brute and 24% defence was enough however I was killing things at a much higher rate than you will be. If it's solely a farmer you want, I would go the scrapper route and roll a elec/sd or fire/sd, anyway, this is what I came up with
