...I have a DP/MM at 50. Thinking about relying on Drain Psyche, and skipping Stamina (so when i19 hits, can get away with less lots in it ).

So was wondering how it handles without Stamina.

Youre not going to be without stamina in I19. You'll have it inherently. So maybe a better question is, how is it with just base slotted stamina.

I have a lvl 27 Rad/MM without stamina, and he does just fine, but he does have to rest every 2nd or 3rd group. Im thinking that goes away after I19. But its just a guess.

I'm pretty sure that was a typo and meant to say less slots in it.

So that's pretty much the same question.

I bet if you got even minimal recovery bonuses else where, you'd be fine with just that one slot in stamina. Like the Miracle proc in Health, and maybe a few small bonuses elsewhere. It will depend a lot on how much recharge you have, because the closer DP is to perma the less you would need any other help. That's going to take like 200% global recharge bonuses though :-(.

I play heroes on Champion.
I play villains on Virtue.

I have it 4 slotted with Performance Shifters; and when I jump into a group of baddies, it will max out my end recharge, enough to refill my bar. I have just respec'd out of Stamina, and have noticed a difference and Drain Psyche helps alot.

I have my Fire/Psi dom respecced without fitness in aniticipation of I19 and he gets pretty good mileage out of only using Drain Psyche, its 6 slotted with efficacy adaptor and with only two enemies in range has better recovery then stamina and only has like a 10s downtime (i believe).

My DP/MM currently has Stamina 5 slotted with perf shifter (all but the rech/acc) and Drain Psyche 6 slotted with Efficacy Adaptor. For casual standard fights I never see a drop in End without using Drain Psyche, so for I19 I will be taking 2 slots off of Stamina and putting them into Hasten which will be added to the build, and having Stamina 3 slotted with a end mod IO, perf shifter end mod and perf shifter proc. I figure with using drain psyche more often, the proc, and the few slots in stamina, a DP/MM should be fine, I only have 3 toggles though, Scorp Shield, Weave, and Combat Jumping (and CJ barely counts).

Hope that helps.

Stamina with a single level 50 endmod IO is probably enough for most Blasters who use IOs, even without a recovery boost power. Blasters generally run few toggles so as long as you have good end reduction in your attacks you don't really need a ton of recovery. With Drain Psyche you should have positive recovery even while attacking, so as long as you can have it up half the time or so you can get away with losing endurance over time while it's down. If you are closer to neutral while it's down you won't even need it up that often, and if you are neutral or have positive recovery while it's down (quite possible depending on what toggles you use and what IOs you have) then obviously you don't need Drain Psyche at all except for the regen.

If you can get it up often enough it works wonders, I was using an Arch/MM to farm, drain psyche was 5 slotted with doctored wounds for the recharge bonus (no fitness pool) and I still rarely had problems unless I was fighting something that took longer to kill than the effects lasted.
