    They're released after the patch/maintenance.

So instead of taking the criticism and information for what it is, you turn it into a lame personal attack. Or do you have the "ample programming experience," experience with the engine and actual counterarguments to the points that were brought up?

But of course you feel free to attack one of the longstanding developers who DOES have a clue as to the work it would take to make things not be lame.

Legitimate problems have been brought up, but instead of "using a little grey matter," you just attack instead. Hypocrite much? Especially when some potential workarounds HAVE been mentioned?

I came into the thread with an idea on a story progression - inside the 'city' and out in the water - that could work, but given the attitude shown here, I'm dropping any support for the idea.

Hmm. Sounds like "I care about the team composition" to me. You're too focused on powersets as opposed to players.

If you want to tell me a team with great powerset synergy (again I'm not saying specific ATs or tank and healers or anything like that) isn't substantially easier to get through missions with than a team with little synergy, than you are crazy.
A team of competent players will get through missions far easier regardless of what they're on. I have to agree it sounds like you've been on a long string of utterly incompetent teams given a lot of what you've said here and other places.

I'm also thinking you're calling every support class a "healer," given how you use the term, which itself is exceptionally off the mark.
  4. I find this absolutely hilarious - in a good way. EU only contest! (From someone in NA.)

Go show 'em what they've been missing, EU folks!
  5. If I had batman-ish "powers" (really training) no, I wouldn't go do the vigilante thing.
I don't think I'd go out saving people, either, given how sue-happy everyone is. "You broke my toe getting me out the window!" "You were going to burn to death." "But you broke my toe! Give me a million dollars for mental anguish!"

I think, instead, I'd set up self-defense classes. Use what I've learned or what I know to teach others to take care of themselves so they are less likely to NEED saving. Train the police, perhaps, as well. Consulting money can't hurt. Viola, no reason to hide my identity, no reason to worry about if what I'm doing is right or wrong, and I'm making a living at it.
  6. Warshades are 100% worth it.
Voids have been nerfed into being slightly less dangerous than a sleeping kitten for a while.

They aren't dead. Everyone just has you on ignore.

    Bingo.

If Champion (one of the servers I'm on) suddenly got a bunch of new players on it? Hey, cool. If Champion got it by getting merged with Guardian? I'd be severely unhappy, since I know I, personally, would have name conflicts (for starters.) Quite possibly irritating me enough to leave the game, depending on the extent and magnitude of the problems that would crop up.

    Er...

Personally, I read this and I say "That isn't a respec. That's stripping a character. Why would they want to make that easier?" Which feeds into the "Lucky we can keep 10" comment, too.

If you're doing an RP versus "normal" build, use dual builds, not a respec. My opinion, of course.

    Router advice

My Linksys WRT54G has been solid for years. No re-doing firmware, etc. It is, of course, wireless as well as wired, but you can turn that off (most wireless routers will let you do that anyway,) and it's not all that expensive.

If you don't mind looking into refurbs, I've seen some Netgear and Dlink routers on Newegg pretty cheap, too.

But Force Bubble is in the same set as Repulsion Field. It either needs lots-o-love or just needs to be replaced.

Replacement Idea: Bubble Wall. Create a stationary, invincible or sturdy 'bubble' pet that essentially is there just to take up space. This power can be used to wall off certain areas or to create a buffer between you/allies and the enemy. Lasts for X seconds. with possibly double recharge.

If it's invincible, then it cannot be targeted. If it's simply sturdy, then it can be targeted and destroyed/broken. I prefer sturdy but it's simply a suggestion.
    (points up a few posts)

Remember that bit about replacing powers? Yeah. I use it. It does knockback as opposed to repel (two totally different effects - mobs can and do resist one but not the other) and comes 10-14 levels earlier. Hardly "right around the corner." Your suggestion, to me, would be completely and utterly useless.
  12. <qr>

I like similar attacks as knock*down* - when I'm on my tanks or in Dwarf form, and can eat the incoming, usually harder hitting melee attack when whatever I'm around gets back up.

Human form PB? KB, please. Knock them away from me, they get up to find a few blasts already on the way and I have a little extra breathing room - vital if I have to hit a heal or some such.

The only time I find the knockback a liability is when it's not used with much thought as to where the mobs will be going. Unless I'm suddenly surrounded for whatever reason, those AOEs mentioned before from the rest of the team are still going to be quite effective, as I'll try to maintain some sense of grouping with the mobs.
  13. Reasonably common (I switch between doing it and not, especially if I run a control character and need something specific locked down. I don't want my target changing.)

His post makes sense. Yours didn't. I think the description designed for troll attempts like this is "Phail."

    Gratz MB!
  15. *waits for someone to wander in with long discussion about base damage vs AT modifiers, even though the result is generally the same.*
  16. I just want to be able to disable the arrow that changes tray numbers. I've swapped those on a quick click before, to find my self running up to enemies and turning armors off or healing myself at them instead of attacking.

    It's not very helpful.

Locking the extra trays together sounds useful.

    There. Isn't that better?
Aesthetically dull, IMO, but w/e. I can see people now buying the wrong origin more often, especially on higher res monitors where that ring is harder to see. The origin specific icons help out there, as well. I know exactly when I've scrolled too far, because I'm now seeing dragons and fists or atoms or w/e. Unless the stores that carry all the origins get a filter or organized into tabs or something like a couple people suggested earlier. (I think that's part of the "system" mentioned earlier.)

And since you insist this is /so hard/, let me tell you how long it took.
I don't have a dog in this fight, but I do have to say: SCR. (Standard Code Rant.) I'll go with "it really is this easy" once you talk to Vanden (I think that's who did it) who replaces power icons and you put them in a format that directly replaces those in game. The process is different from just making a bunch of pics for the forum. You could just be a few steps from solving your problem yourself, or it could be a lot harder than you think.

No, I haven't bothered doing it either. I have nothing that bugs me enough to do something like this for.

Personally I have no problem with the system as it is now. I can find what I need quickly. Yes, I had to learn, but you have to learn everything you do in life unless you're God, so the "shouldn't have to learn" argument is silly and lazy-sounding to me. The only reason I prefer IOs isn't a simpler system but that they don't expire.
  19. I don't think my doms could survive playing this set, but it sounds different so some people would probably like it.
  20. I don't know about animations as a booster pack. Just for "What would you do with weapons sets" (or non weapons sets, or melee, or whatever.)

Let them fit in custom animations as they can, unless you're talking "exotic martial arts animation pack, $5" that only works with a specific powerset. Even then though I don't think it'd be better (unless they're very odd) than giving it away like they do now.

How is "They're always in the same order" hard? Especially when you see Trainings for so long that tell you what they are before getting into the RP names or whatever you want to call them?

I might not be able to rattle them off the top of my head, but if I'm at the store, yeah, I can zip right to what I need.

    Grav...

They removed Fold Space and moved Wormhole up, then added Singularity.

Or are you looking for something else?

(OK, I want a faster Propel.)
  23. The set's worth it for me just for the new wings. Fit a few toons much better!

Though I do hope some of the joins mentioned earlier get fixed. (And the S. American folks can buy it, too. That sucks.)
  24. Personally, I'd rather avoid anything one-phone-specific.

Give a good site with a decent mobile browser presentation as well, so everyone can use it.
