There are a few psychic type attacks that do not have a positional tag. SR won't have any defense against those.

Please refer to Nerd Rage already in progress.

Quote:What Psychoti said. Even the newest discs (Going Rogue) are already outdated. You can drop the CoH files onto a DVD yourself for backup and then just copy them back onto the drive if something goes wrong.Once this is all finished, I'd very much like the game devs to ship me a set of discs of the game updated to current Issue.

Try deleting the .Checksum file and then running the updater again. That will force the updater to recheck all the files and then get only the files that actually need to be updated.

Actually, that's not true. The game will happily bind powers with spaces in the name if it's the only command in the line. The reason the quotes are needed is because of the double dollar signs used to string multiple commands together. If quotes are not around the whole string which is to be bound to a key, it will bind the first item then proceed to execute each additional command as if it had been typed in separately.

Use StartChat instead of BeginChat.
Startchat just puts the cursor in the chat box. BeginChat is used to place some text in the box before activating it. For example, to chat on Protector's Jello Shooters channel, I use beginchat /Send "Jello Shooters" which puts the Send command into the chat box so I can just type and then hit enter. That makes what I type automatically go to the JS channel.
But for your purpose, you just want to use StartChat. -
On my PC, it's in the Logs/Game/ Directory in the CoH directory. I don't think it would be much different on the mac.

Additionally, the proc is unaffected by end recovery debuffs. For example, if you use a Nuke power that debuffs your recovery, you still have a chance to gain some end from the proc, which can be extremely useful at times.

The limit doesn't have to do with purples, but with the set bonuses. The Law of Fives allows you to benefit from no more than 5 of the same set bonus. The wiki article I linked has full details.

I've run this many many times, though only at +0/x1. He has always been a Lieut for me.

A better place to ask would be in the Guardian forum.

Quote:With any luck, the patch they just pushed through fixes that.(For those that don't know, there is a game crashing bug that seems to affect those who have the level shift active, and have pets that summon pseudo pets. Such as Bots MMs (the seeker drones), or Plant trollers/doms (The carrion creepers), or illusion controllers (Phantasms Decoy), etc)

Try looking in the various forums. In the Player Guide section there are often builds for some of the various guides. And you'll also find builds in the various AT forums, such as the Defenders Forum, Brute Forum, etc.

Just pointing out that the *only* time it would take you six months is if you decided to only run one character. Since you can have multiple characters on multiple servers all running tip missions, the time it would take would only depend upon how many characters you want to run per day. So, to get a full set, just six characters all running tips each day for a month. Once they get the purple, just email it to the character who needs it.

It's old and the formatting is broken, but a lot of the details originally started with iakona's Power Data Standardization v2.0 (Issue 7) thread.
There's also a spreadsheet out there that consolidates all the data.
Found a copy. -

You know, your post reminded me that last year the fires and trolls seemed to be on hold during the winter event.
Here's the thread.
If you're unwilling to wait a few more days for the event to end, you might try the suggestion in the last post in that thread and work to clear any Winter Lord that might be in the zone, either through a team or simply by pulling it to a drone or Wentworth's kill zone. -
It seems pretty random. I've seen them happen one right after the other, and I've seen them take a few hours between events.
Just make sure that Hero zone event channel is in a tab you can see. -
Quote:From the ParagonWiki, paraphrasing original post from Synapse:Iirc, Dev's don't use the average times for merit calculations. They use a related but different concept. Also I don't think that the SFs have been recalibrated recently.
"Task Forces give an average of 1 merit every 3 minutes of average time (20 merits an hour), Trials give an average of 1 merit every 2.5 minutes (24 merits an hour), and Story Arcs give an average of 1 merit every 7.5 minutes (8 merits an hour). " -
Can you see the tabs on the bottom part? Try dragging one of them to the upper window. The might fix it.
