Unlocking Patron Power Pools
Hi, everybody! I've got a question about the Patron Power Pools. On paragonwiki, it is stated that "only characters with true villain alignment can unlock Patron Power Pools." But is that really true? A rogue character of mine was able to get the patron mission arc with no problems at all, and is now one mission from its ending. However, what will happen when I finish the arc? Assuming that rogues really cannot unlock PPPs, how could that be accomplished afterwards? Even if my character would return to being a true villain, he probably wouldn't be able to play through the arc again, would he? I'm not locking out my character from ever getting a PPP, right? Did anybody do this already and can tell me what will happen? Thanks! 10 |
It's Villians and Rogues. You can't do it as a Vigilante.
I gotta make pain. I gotta make things right. I gotta stop what's comin'. 'Least I gotta try.

By 'true' villain, I believe they just mean one that's completed a full patron's arc and deemed 'worthy' to say.. Not your alignment. However, in order to access patrons, you must be a villain/rogue.. This could be misconstrued pretty easily.

I also had two Rogues that did the Patron arcs and now have the Patron Pool unlocked.
And on that note, you never lose the Patron Pool once unlocked. Early on in the I18 beta you lost access to the Patron Pool if you switched sides, but now it stays unlocked forever regardless of your alignment.

I was wondering about that. I had heard conflicting information. That it was changed explains why. Thank you.
Keep in mind that a Rogue IS a Villain in the way that things like gaining access to the Patron pools needs.
