Fastest way to download PC Client

Hey gang.

For some reason I thought there was a shortcut or time saving method when downloading the game client on a PC.

Am I hallucinating again or can someone tell me a way to save time when downloading the client to a new PC?

easiest way I can think of is copy your Current install folder to a removable HD that way on the new comp you just start the updater, then Exit it. then copy over the old stuff.

IIRC the method I've used in the past is to copy the client folder over from the old PC into the same location on the new PC, then delete the checksum file in the main root CoH folder. Once you then run the updater on the new PC, the lack of a checksum file will forces a proper verify-all-files and effectively complete the installation for you.

Yep - The BillZ Guide is the way I do it.

I keep a copy of CoH (and my bind files, and my Mid's stuff) on a thumbdrive.

I can usually get the whole shebang installed in under 10 mins on a new PC
that way - works like a champ.

Alternatively, if you get the GR complete collection box, you get all the gimmes associated with it (if you haven't got it already) along with a free month and an install disc that's updated to i18. Not 100% up to date but it's much faster than downloading 19 issues of updates.
