Need help with a bindkey syntax please

Hello all

I have a bind key syntax on one of my toons that I really like using for ease of travel. The bind key is set so that each time I hit my "G" key, It toggles on my super jump and auto run together, then when I hit the G key again, it turns off auto run, and switches from Super jump to Combat Jumping. This works perfectly on the one toon, however each time I try to copy/paste the syntax to another toon(s), it acts strangly. The first step I use is to log on my toon that has the bind key that works and use a /showbind G command which gives me this:

++autorun$$++up$$powexec_name Combat Jumping$$powexec_name Super Jump

I then highlight copy this, and switch toons. Then when I copy the line into the chat window with a "/bind g ++autorun$$++up$$powexec_name Combat Jumping$$powexec_name Super Jump" All that happens is my super jump is toggled on, I start jumping straight up in the air,and ++Autorun is shown in my chat window. Also I've noticed that the G key is set to autorun as well as the default R key.

Can anyone who understands what I'm doing wrong please help? Thank you veryu much in advance!

Change where your opening quote is to: /bind g "++autorun$$++up$$powexec_name Combat Jumping$$powexec_name Super Jump"

See if that makes it work better for you

Beware with this macro if you use it while still rather high up in your SJ arc that you will take a nice chunk of damage on impact. Personally I use two macros, the SJ/CJ toggle macro and the hopping macro.

Malice is spot on with his revised syntax: essentially, the '/bind g' part tells the game to bind what follows to the g key, and the bit in "s is the command you want it to execute. The "-marks are needed because the power name has a space in it, because otherwise the game treats a space as the end of an instruction.

It seems he is still somewhat wise ; Bull Throttle: Shadowe was unwise in this instance...; Rock_Powerfist: in this instance Shadowe is wise.; Techbot_Alpha: Shadowe is very wise *nods*; Zortel: *Quotable line about Shadowe being wise goes here.*

Actually, that's not true. The game will happily bind powers with spaces in the name if it's the only command in the line. The reason the quotes are needed is because of the double dollar signs used to string multiple commands together. If quotes are not around the whole string which is to be bound to a key, it will bind the first item then proceed to execute each additional command as if it had been typed in separately.
