you didnt mention if you meant teams or 1v1. sonic will move up a bit on teams, definately higher than elec, and the debuffs from rad blast are almost negligible on a team when there are usually buffs all around and more serious debuffs being relied on. i agree on the last 4 though, i dont even consider them sets viable for any pvp.

its an open zone where every power in the game is available to pvp with. the only other place this is possible is in the arena and the zones avaiable there are usually smaller or big but empty and boring.
and to sentry4, justice is usually the same 4 or 5 people rotating in different toons and while they are good people it gets old pretty fast. on freedom, there is literally always going to be someone to pvp with/against and during peak times you'll see several full teams on each side going at it.
i used to spam justice /ac for hours to no effect while now i log into freedom and there are already matches recruiting waiting for me. -

so i guess what we agree is that simplifying the game might bring more harm than good i guess since there are people who use the markets as more of a minigame and less a tool. its probably better to have some people in the dark, for the sake of the people who put more time in learning.

my fault, poorly worded. the -def from the blasts get pb'd too and once it starts adding up they'll probably be in scourge range before it wears off.

so i was bidding on blessing of the zephyr -kb pieces last night and they were nearing 100m at level 50, so i started looking at the lower level ones and grabbed a few for around 1/2 that price, each. this got me thinking, what if inventions didnt have levels attached to them? what if they just dropped in certain level ranges or to certain tasks etc..? how would that affect the market and the way things are priced? would stuff equalize higher or would prices come down because of higher perceived stock.
i think alot of the cost of IOs comes from people thinking that they absolutely must have a level 50 of any given IO if they want to be the best or whatever. personally, i often just buy whatevers cheapest and that gets the job done.
this thread is not a call for a change or a cry about high prices, i just wanted to poke some brains. i dont usually read this section so let me know if this is asked every week. -
its possible, i know mastermind bots have a blast that once it hits you stops use of aid self until the -regen wears off.

elec/therms give everyone trouble though, fwiw /dark gets a pet that keeps healing and debuffing when you inevitably run out of end. i havent seen any defensive builds in a while but once you start hitting with rad blast you should be fine, especially with pb'd aim to start it all off.

i will never roll a defender again unless some huge changes come to pvp or their inherent, pbu is just not up enough and their damage is pretty meh to begin with. ive seen mirage mage's ice cold do some nasty things but im not much of a troller player to say anything else. earth/fire is probably the weakest of those you listed but still a nice combo if you go dom. -

so many names i'm sure i will forget but ...there were so many people that over the years i would build specifically to be able to beat that i ultimately learned all the tricks from: dethwing, doc antec, cleo, quatermain, conflict, troken&rakin, sid, all the misfits from back in the good 'ol days and even some unknowns from the other side of the world who i only saw when i was just going to school and had more free nights. all class acts who made justice pvp good enough for me not to get frustrated and jump server. i did manage to lose to ajax when he came over to justice back on his retardedly op ice/rad/psi(remember those?) and once in a 2v2 tourney.
people always told me to go to test but it never really stuck and now that the shat hit the fin i guess i was too late to move to freedom. im on my gimptastic fire/dark corr alot lately if any of the people who got listed here want a 1v1 with a non elec/therm corr that doesnt suck. -

what beats a good elec/therm anyway? i havent dueled on mine since i12 and it wasnt elec/.
please dont say mms because they dont count as pvp imo. -
fire/ sonic/ or psi/ blaster with /devices. stealth io and a +perception io and you can stalk them back.

when someone misses their procs miss too. pvpio and purple procs firing off every 3rd attack is something resistance based toons have to worry about alot more than defensive builds. to be fair you should probably add something in for that too.

i brought over some infamy and now can build my fire/ea dom on freedom. i am hoping to build it for kickball or zones with a buffer since i dont really have anything decent for that over there yet. a couple things i was curious about was if power blast was better than power burst since it has range and is cheaper end/rech, also if you think its worth it to slot power push for knockback over damage since most competent pvpers come packing alot of -kb anyway. ive only played this toon a couple hours back when getting 50s was stupidly easy so any tips are welcome. oh and if this is a horrible combo let me know because i have a sonic/therm i could build instead but my funds limit me to 1 at the moment.
