Corrupter's Blast Best to Worst
you didnt mention if you meant teams or 1v1. sonic will move up a bit on teams, definately higher than elec, and the debuffs from rad blast are almost negligible on a team when there are usually buffs all around and more serious debuffs being relied on. i agree on the last 4 though, i dont even consider them sets viable for any pvp.

I'd definitely put sonic above rad and elec.
Elec is really only good in duels, and really only on therms. Sure, 90+% of corrs are therms now, but for anything else, there's really no reason to be elec.
As far as rad, -res is a lot more important in today's PvP than -def. Also, rad needs to be heavily procced to do anything, and that's really what takes it from lolz to good. I've seen some rad corrs that don't have procs (new toons I guess), and their damage was flat out laughable.
Meanwhile, sonic can get kills on pretty much anything by stacking -res, and it can do it with simple SO's.
And as solo mentioned, it gets even more valuable on a team. When I played my sonic/therm, I felt I was contributing a lot to a team by simply spamming attacks. It made targets die in like half the normal time.
I love assault Rifle!!!! Full auto with a good IO set behind it melts faces and I find it awesome for aoe when mixed with /traps.

TBH i think sonic is horrible on teams. As far as chaseing down the target, there root times are just so horrible usally they are like the fat rhino in jamanji when it comes to pursuit. The -res is awesome don't get me wrong. I have a sonic/rad and fire/rad, to me, my fire/rad is better in teams then my sonic/rad is. On paper, you would think sonic would be....but when it acually comes to playing it...fire is better to me, i dont get my toggles dropped on my fire like i do my sonic. (and no im not one of those idiots that tries to spam shout.) I don't know solo one, you might be right, but to me i hate sonic root times. Its like activate sonic attack chain, then go cook some breakfast, come back and you should be done being rooted.

sonic has that sick stun that packs a -res.
when i thermed towards the end of i12 and the beginning of i13, my main role when it came down to the spike was hitting melt, the sonic stun, counting to two and hitting shout (i13) or scream (i12) for the scourge kill after the forts / stalker / blasters spiked.
i do not think any other set can compete with the damage potential of that in a team setting.
i did roll on a fire/cold for a lot of i12 on the ladder, but it was built understanding that i had so many debuffs to throw out (during a spike, i'd trow out webs, infridge, heat loss, and blaze) that blaze was gonna be the only way i could any damage out. blaze scourging against fire shields provided more damage than bitter ice blast after apocs came into play, and a lot of teams had really offensive oriented therms that weren't likely to pass out shields in i12 style pvp with forts being the main spikers.
also at this point i'd put archery above fire in a team setting, but not above rad (figure out what i just did).
archery has an extremely high damage attack (blazing arrow), and a stun. during a spike, you stun, count and hit blazing arrow for a massive scourge.
TEAM FRIENDLY (JUST FOR SOLO ONE AND BARRIER) lol
1.) Sonic Blast - Ill renig on the whold sonic thing. Sonic is great on team due the - res stacking and the stun. Long root times still make it a liablity especially once stalkers are able to be on blue side. But overall top of the list.
2.)Fire Blast - Great DPS mainly due to flares, although strangely they did something to make fire blast animation making it longer or maybe it's the root...i can't put my finger on it. Stil top tier when it comes to corrupters. (Only Dark Fire has that bug.....)
3.)Rad Blast - Good DPS becasue of Neutrino bolt and the -defense is really good against defense based toons. Cosmic Burst is also a mez as well as very good dmg.
4.)Electic Blast - Secondary effect is what makes this shine. The -End is awesome, especially paired with /Thermal. Only 2 main attacks so there is always going to be that "hole" in the attack chain.
5.)Dark Blast - It's lack of aim is what makes it this low on the list. The -tohit is really nice especiall if you pick up Poowerboost. It does decent dmg, and has a self heal. (life drain) that helps toons without a self heal..mainly /colds. Great paired with /storm and /cold. (Snacks loves this set lol)
6.) Energy Blast - I dont see to many people with this set. I personally dont have any experience with it on corrupters. I do wonder how this thing cant do good dmg. You can put 3 dmg procs in at least one of the blast, and 2 in the others. I would think it would do really well in an experienced players hands. But i do not know for sure.
7.) Achery - From what i seen the dmg is pretty bad. Only thing that really makes this set is the stun. (7 seconds). The bonus inherent acc is nice though.
8.) Ice Blast - Slows were gutted and the dmg on this set is so bad, even procs cant help it. Also to mention ice blast does more dmg then bitter ice blast which makes no freaking sense....
9.) Assault rifle - lolz. Bad dmg, no seconary effect to mention, long animation times. Did i forget anything???

The set probably isn't all that wonderful in the hands of a Corruptor until Scourge starts to kick in, but thanks to Boost Range, Defiance, and the Blaster damage mod, I'd rank Archery behind Psi, Fire, and Sonic for Blaster primaries. I'd love to put Rad up on that list but aside from Cosmic Burst they managed to make Rad into "just another Blaster set" when they messed with the recharge times.
I don't think I'd rank Elec that high on your list, as it only seems useful when paired with an end drain secondary like Therm or Kin.

I will only say that YMMV. I have 4 /colds that i pvp with(guess i'm a fan of click debuffs vs toggles),and /rads, and /therms, and i have found out that of all my corrs, my sonic/cold is by far the hardest hitting, and most brutal for solo or team pvp...jump canceling is a thing of beauty.
Irony would have it that my Dark/Cold is my 2nd fav to use, it survives better then the sonic/cold over all, and has a very sneaky scourge with gloom and life drain, but Divine is correct that the lack of aim can be an issue at times(even on a stacked i/o'ed toon with solid +acc and Tactics)

Very true. I just have never seen anybody use it really (energy blast). Con or mac yall should roll a energy blast corrupter lol. I might make a energy/pain dom just for lolz.

I knew you were a closet pver...have you tried it in pvp con???? If you move it are you going to try to proc the hell out of those blast? I know most trollers that proc energy blast that thing hits hard as hell....i can only imagine that kind of dmg +scourge...holy ****.

He only goes into pvp zones to get nukes for raids. I think I used him in rv once but he has fly, no acro and a really really weird build. It was a specialty toon I made just to lead red side hami raids. It was very effective at what I built it for.
The reason I was considering moving him was because I know how beastly pd it for one. And I hate my sonic blast/pd. I don't know why I keep rolling sonic blast toons, it literally causes me discomfort to attack with it. After playing my /ea dom the nrg animations have kind of grown on me and there is lots of slotting stuff you can do with the attacks.
The only thing holding me back from moving it is I have two other toons in the running for it. I actually love my ss/fire brute and like having a disruption toon to play which I lack on freedom red side. The other toon is my dual purpled widow which I could bring over and strip and slot out another 2 toons with all the loot on them.
The more I keep seeing people not slotting for enough kb protection though, the closer the pain dom gets to winning. I could get disruption out of it plus pain dom is the range regin.

Been thinking about a en/pd corr. Toying around with mid's gives me around 800% regen (>50hp/s) and capped res to all before DR. Thinking about Power push and powerboosted gw hold for mitigation to allow the regen to work.

Does benumb still decrease knockback resist or did that change with the powerboost "fix"?

I rolled a Energy/PD Corr for closed beta for i13. It was pretty effective for kb and the attacks weren't too bad. All I had were SO's but it made for an interesting time.
I think im going to roll a Energy/PD corrupter very soon. Those procs are going to be beastly.

I actually got to looking at a respec for mine after this thread. Its a tight fricking build. Its almost looking like I would need to go with only 2 blast to get everything else in. Going to keep messing with it though.

I rolled an energy/rad corr a few months ago. Mainly because i thought it was unique but, energy didn't seem bad to me at all. It's pretty fun.
