Your dark/colds are built wrong. Mine takes down tanks and scrappers. Even regens.

and yeah, a dark/cold will raep regins all night long easily, and yeah, it pretty much destroys all melee..
Yes, most ranged debuff builds will wreck melees if played by competent players. It's when you come up against other ranged debuff builds that you start to run into problems. I'm a terrible dueler though, so take my advice with a grain of salt. >.>

Hehe. Ive fought many range and melee AT's. I dont know if its the skill level but range ATs seem easier than melee.

what beats a good elec/therm anyway? i havent dueled on mine since i12 and it wasnt elec/.
please dont say mms because they dont count as pvp imo.

what server are you in again?
Can beat elec/therms: Psi/em. sonic/em, and fire/em blasters. /elec on scrappers and tanks..but most therms wont even fight them, so you wont get a duel.
Can't beat elec/therms: everything else.
It's to the point where elec/therms are worse then what ice/em tanks (double phase) were back in the day. Very few toons can beat it. IMO they will lengthen HE recharge soon....very soon.

Dark/cold works magic. I've teamed with virus many of times and he can beat the living snot out of any AT basically. I personally watched him take down a regen no problems with that toon.
This has already been said, cold wrecks melee toons but vs blasters and ranged toons they get wrecked before they can get their debuffs off.
Hey bat. The hardest blaster i fought was a psy/em, but we both beat each other. Other blasters i dont have a problem with.

Theres only 1 regen i cant beat. Claws/regen. One of the best regens ive ever seen.

You should probably come over to freedom. Beating the same 5 people on Guardian isn't really as impressive as you think. And has been said several times here already, beating a regin with a cold is to be expected. And if you really beat a psi/em that dude should reroll or something, because it should never happen in game. This assumes equal skill and build or at least close to it.

The psy/em has some well built toons. He's beaten my ss/elec brute with his wp/ss tank and ive beaten his tank with my brute. This was before elec got energize. I think he took a break from the game but im not sure

Yea it was a duel. Low population of pvpers on my server. Big battles end in duels. And i dont use insp in duels

Basically i want to strip my Elec / Therm for something a bit more challenging / fun for duels in the arena, i have a level 50 Dark / Cold laying around and my question to you, is fully specc'd accoladed, do you think these powersets can give the more top tier arena 1 v 1 powersets a run for there money in i16?
I understand it will take time and effort to perfect the use of this combo in duels, but ultimately would it be worth it? What i mean is even if i could play the combo expertly, i wouldnt get dicked on by a poor excuse of a Psy / Em and/or Elec/Therm?
