though i dont have any purps or pvp io's the build is at

6.4-6.8 end/sec, 120 max end with cp and geas for AM downtimes.

only "yes i sell" has ever given me any prob on his elec/therm on freedom.

I had no issue transferring to Freedom and destroying absolutely everyone I faced in arena matches a little over a year ago. Never had an issue on Test either. Idk though, maybe I'm just that awesome *shrugs*.

Guardian used to have around 10-15 or so hardcore pvpers that were actually damn good.

Maybe guardian isn't any good anymore, I haven't been around.

a year ago, sure thing. i remember justin brought in 3 or 4 guardian guys who were actually very good players.


now? yeah. well. if this dude is wrecking on a dark/cold against elec/therms, yeah, people are horrid.

Justin who plays a blaster (for the life of me I can't recall his toons name)? Hung with Kiri, Haunt, GG, Ed and Duke Man Jr?

True though, they definitely were better then most the guardian norm and im sure during my absence only got better. I'd be willing to say that back then, Myself, GG, Kiri, MissMalice, Haunt, Cronic and maybe one or two other guys were the best on Guardian, not sure what any of them are up to now. I can't say the same for myself anymore, so many changes I'm unfamiliar with.

I have to agree with you though about Guardian now, I was told about this elec/elec blaster who won a tournament on Guardian recently out of 50 people or so and challenged him to a duel.
I won 11-0 and I haven't been playing in like I said 1.5 years. My build is hardly anything to be impressed about either, someone ripped all my purples out of it and I've got a zone build that I'm sitting on till I figure out a new build.

And what is up with the no "No insp" matches? In the past that was a tell tale of sign of noobness. Maybe things have changed?

i recognize quite a few of those names; kiri was pretty beast on his ice/elec dom. haunt and malice were pretty good too. malice gave me my first pvp wrecking ever on test on his ill/rad back in i9. cronic was good, a bit out there when it came to team matches (he joined one or two practices with ujl), but definitely above the crap i'm hearing about here, people like dave2k were also pretty skilled. guardian was good.

now what this dude is describing (a dark/cold wrecking an elec/therm) just points the other way.

Yea Cronic was always kind of a solo guy, hence the stalker and brutes.

MissMalices ill/rad/psy was pretty wicked. Us pvping against each other never came about though. Just how the cards fell in tournaments I guess. Many a wanna be made ill/rad/psys trying to copy mallice but they just didn't have the talent.

A good pvper can walk into an Arena match, lose, and then walk right back in and stomp because how quickly they learn how to play against something.

Pre i13 were good times indeed.

Dark/cold is a nice AT I would say = as good as elec/therms with the right person playing. Right person meaning not me. But the -recharge that you can get on a dark/cold can be quite impressive considering the +recharge aval with IO sets. I fought a mind/thermal troller 50 and IOed on my lvl 46 SOed Dark/cold. He claimed he had severe -recharge issues with in my first atack chain. He also had isssues hitting me through the -tohit. But my lack of damage + his debuffs caused me to loose. How ever PVP speced and IOed at lvl 50 I could of walked all over him.

I feel Dark/cold is more fun to play, as it has more bag of tricks. The elec/therm is just end drain untill dead.

fair enough.

I would make a case and say...if the elec/therm dont have enough kb protection, regardless if they are horrible or not, the dark/cold would have a chance. if the cold could constantly land the double hl by torrent positioning. HE wont be effective.
