Since I get this way on my brute, I have coined the term "Brute Blinders." Similar concept to blinders that a racehorse would wear - you only see what's in front of you and not your surroundings.

So to borrow and adjust your definition:

Brute Blinders - n. running around and attacking everything and anything in sight to maintain the maximum amount of fury possible and not looking at health, endurance, or anything else, including where your friends are, what level creatures you are attacking, or how many. Typically will kill lots of things very quickly until the brute ends up dead under a pile of about 30 enemies because he (or she) went left when the team went right.

And as a side note: According to "Nate's Law," you should always go left.

Now, as to the OP's question... (hehe sorry, side tracked)

I played (yes, played, not PLed >_>) a Kat/WP scrapper to 50 and I absolutely loved it.

The extra defense from Divine Avalanche is extra sweet.

Even with SOs and HOs the combination should be very viable for regular play.

Running at +4x8... that's another story.
  2. I should've stopped reading this thread after the first few posts, but yea... I'm a glutton for punishment.

Just to throw my own 2 cents in-

Never assume something is easy or even relatively easy for that matter.

The only thing that I would tend to agree with regarding rocketboard and walk is that I think the powers should suppress instead of turning completely off.

Walk, Rocketboard, the Carpet, even Beast Run and Ninja Run are pretty much cosmetic consumables- They're meant to supplement what's freely available in game.

The in-game counterparts of these powers have no restrictions and should be used as such.

    Also to note:

Beast Run/Ninja Run = Slower than Super Speed
    Rocketboard = Faster than Flight

There has to be somewhat a trade off. It starts to become "Pay to Win" when the stuff you buy in the store is better than what's available in game for free.

I think it would have to be a Mind-something or a Psi-something toon to emulate her Pinkie Sense...

When I watched the newest episode... and Derpy... had... lines... and they called her by her name... and... and... @_@ I almost had a ponygasm.

And then Pinkie's reaction when the Pinkie Promise was broken... O.M.G.

Seriously, one of the best episodes ever. EVER.

Btw, as of 2 days ago the name "TwentyPercentCooler" was available. I was going to use, but added a "Z" at the end (for my namesake). I did post in a channel that the name was available so I'm not sure if someone yoinked it or not. Just figured I'd mention it though...

Is it possible to get the epic powers which is available to villian SoA, as hero, or am i forced to become villian again and unlock them?
You have to be a Villain/Rogue in order to run the Patron Arcs to unlock the Patron Power Pools.

Once they are unlocked they stay unlocked whether you're a Villain, Rogue, Vigilante or Hero.
  10. I could see my namesake as a member of the Freedom Phalanx.

As far as I know, they don't have a department that deals specifically with zombies and things of a zombie nature.

I could totally head that up!

And besides, disco suits are rad! (and 20% cooler)

Starting from a blank slate with a Melee Prim/Res Secondary is it easier to go Typed or Positional?
I was able to get 44.49% Def to S/L with Agility Core Alpha on my TW/Elec brute.

    Capped Energy resists, too.

    It works nicely for me
  12. As far as melee sets go, Willpower tends to be a favorite of mine.

For support sets... I'm a big fan of Kinetics and Radiation.

ParagonWiki says they'll offer their enhancements to anyone 30+, but when I go to them I can neither get their mission nor purchase enhancements from them. I tried Ouroboros but their missions are not in those lists.

Any ideas how I could go about getting them unlocked? Thanks in advance!
The first level that SOs are available are level 25. The stores that sell those also sell level 30s.

I'm not sure if the "contact stores" are level restricted, but if you talk to them they should offer you a mission to unlock them.

They are located in Founders Falls and Brickstown.

Yea, I see you noted that already... reason #35135 why I shouldn't reply to threads at work :P

I'm also pretty sure that the stores in the Rikti War Zone and Cimerora sell level 35+ SOs without having to run missions. You may have to scroll a bit to find them though.

    Hope that helps!

    Edit #2

    From Paragon Wiki:

    Quote:
    Contact Introduced By

None, will work with any hero level 30 and up.
That suggests that you need to be level 30+ to get the mission.

I'm assuming you're a Hero or Vigilante? I don't think that Rogues would be able to unlock the contacts. Could be wrong though...

And if none of that works... I would also check to make sure you're not at the maximum allotment of missions you can hold at one time.

And if that's not the case either... I'm stumped!

  20. I've tried something... similar to this. Well, sorta, but not really.

I have a HP Touchpad and a nifty app called Splashtop.

Basically it allows remote access to my PC from anywhere I have an internet connection. It lets me see and control my desktop as if the Tablet were the monitor of the other PC.

Kinda similar to how LogMeIn looks.

Anyway, I attempted to play CoH through it.

    It was laggy and choppy.

Chatting was semi-doable. Moving around was semi-doable.

    Actually "playing," not so much.

From what I gathered from another thread recently, if a name doesn't have a global attached to it, it's either a) a name made prior to globals - in which case the user hasn't logged in since globals were made b) a name reserved by the devs for future use or c) names that cannot be used for <insert reason here>.

  24. This was the first thing that came to mind:

    hehe

But uh... as far as in City of Heroes badgers...

I like my Fire/Kin Controller for badge stuff. Mostly because he's multipurpose. He can contribute to a team or solo if need be. And he's built to be fairly durable.

As melee sets go, with no re-draw... hrm... Maybe a StJ/WP or a StJ/Elec brute?
