How do you get those lvl30 SO contacts?

I'm not sure if the "contact stores" are level restricted, but if you talk to them they should offer you a mission to unlock them.
They are located in Founders Falls and Brickstown.

I'm also pretty sure that the stores in the Rikti War Zone and Cimerora sell level 35+ SOs without having to run missions. You may have to scroll a bit to find them though.

I'm assuming you're a Hero or Vigilante? I don't think that Rogues would be able to unlock the contacts. Could be wrong though...
And if none of that works... I would also check to make sure you're not at the maximum allotment of missions you can hold at one time.
And if that's not the case either... I'm stumped!

First a dumb question - if you're level 50, why do you want to buy lvl 30 SOs? They aren't like IOs which will still work at level 50. ETA: I see you've been around for almost 8 years, so you probably knew that.
Second, it's possible what they mean is that once you have unlocked that contact by doing a mission for them they will sell you enhancements at any point forward, but also that if you have outlevelled them before you do their mission, they won't talk to you to allow you to unlock them, because why would you want to buy enhancements you've outleveled?

Haven't unlocked them in a while, but I always thought that these contacts were origin-based and -restricted (i.e. Seraphina will only talk to magic, Penny to mutant, etc.)

Everyone always forgets that you can buy the 40, 45 and 50 SOs from General Hammond in Firebase Zulu, too. That's where I always used to go pick them up before the Vanguard base in RWZ opened up. Now, FBZ isn't exactly the most convenient location to just drop by, but it remains an option.

Nope. I would unlock all back in the day of "save every inf" to maximize sell profits. |
They are level locked though. you must be level 30-34 to get the missions I think. Anyway, I always do them at 30.
hit 30--- go to atlas to get the aura mission, go get all the store contact missions--- get the level 30 tailor mission... if you do them in the right order doing the store missions will complete the tailor and aura missions

This is back when doing the mission for Holsten Armitage was the only way to get your hands on level 35 science SO's. There was no Midnighter Club. There was no store contact in the Rikti War Zone (it wasn't even called that back then). Of course, there was also no way to email influence so your question is inapplicable.
Please note, I said I *USED TO* do the store missions on one character so I could buy SO's for other characters.

That makes sense, although, as there is a limit to how many enhancements you can carry at once, it will likely take more than one trip to the vendor to get enough to completely SO out 6 characters. But if you can do it in less than 6 trips, then I agree, base storage is the way to go. I often use storage bins to transfer enhancements to other characters, but I have so many characters spread out on different servers and in different super groups that I often have to resort to email (and of course with email, it's a lot easier to send one lump of inf than multiple emails with one enhancement each)

anyway, the other reason is valid. If you are going to do the aura and tailor contact at 30, completing the store missions in the right order will also complete all the hunts needed for them. Mostly, I really hate hunt missions.
Pro-tip: do Holsten Armitage's (Brickstown Science store) mission to get your Ouroboros Portal if you don't have it by that time.
