  1. Honestly not really sure where to begin with the way you built him. I can say on my WP, I built for Regen / HP / Defense / Rech. In that order.

    Alright just kinda threw this together and I'm sure it can be polished some, but it might help to look at. I tried to make it a less expensive build as well.

  2. Mind if I asked what all they buffed for EA? I was still under the impression that it hadn't been touched, lol
  3. Always assumed Lethal was less resisted. Probably because BS is Lethal and seems pretty strong.
  4. That is a good point. DM won't be able to shut down toggles.
  5. I'd say Dark Melee. Fear, To-Hit Debuffs, Immob, quick animations minus SM and good damage.

    Slotting correctly True Grit with 6x IOs from healing sets boosts the regen alot ! And that can allow you to skip Aid Self if you can raise your regen to something like 35-40 hp/sec.

    Try this on your Mids :

    True Grit : Regen Tissue unique, Heal IO, Heal IO, Numina Heal, Numina Heal/End, Numina Heal/Rech
    Health : Numina unique, Numina Heal, Numina Heal/Recharge, Miracle unique, Miracle Heal, Miracle Heal/Rech

    Check the Regen in hp/sec before and after and you'll see a big improvement !

    PS : it's just an idea to show how the regen can be improved alot on such a toon. But it may not be that easy for you to find those 12 slots, still having to soft cap to everything...

    Yeah it is definitely hard to make room. I turned Ball Lightning into 1 slot and Weave into 3 just to see the difference in regen. It took me from 243% to 354%. Not bad at all. Also increases my max hp a little more. Now I have to decide if losing some global rech and all the damage from Ball Lightning is worth it.

    I do have a question that I have been wondering about. Is there any benefit to having more positional defense after 45%? I've been hearing yes and no on that. I know it helps for defense debuff but is that all?

  9. I've been planning out my Elec/Shield Brute and I've come up with a build that soft caps defense, has decent recharge and is good on end use/recov. My question is with True Grit. Should I use 3 Miracles for higher hp and better end recovery or 3 Aegis for some better fire, cold, energy, neg and toxic resistance? Aegis would also even out my defenses as well by adding more to AoE.

    I have to agree with that statement. Fire Melee is devastating on a Brute. Leveled mine to 50 in about 3-4 days and he was very good for Fight Clubbing in RV. Not so much in this issue, though. As far as PvE and leveling goes, all your enemies will melt before you.
  12. Have to agree. On my Fire/Fire, I gave up Fiery Embrace and BoF to cap my S/L.

    Don't think I can keep my S/L above 45% when switching out Combustion for BoF. Obliteration set has some very nice def bonuses.

    Thanks for the tips! I haven't been using PFF much at all so I might throw Fiery Embrace in instead. And yeah, BoF does a lot more damage and I think it's activation time is quicker? I'll see if I can trade it out, but the bonuses from Eradication are nice.

    I have a similar thread and this is what I currently went for. Gives great defense to s/l and some decent recharge. Thanks to Ail, I might have to change out a power for Smoke. I also miss having Fiery Embrace. Wish I could fit that in and still retain my defenses. You'll notice consume is slotted with damage as opposed to endurance. This was for the bonuses. Tested on 2 minions and it gives me back enough end while Domination is building. Lastly, there are 4 slots available for LoTG:+Rech. I currently have 2 slotted, but it allows me to have a couple slots left waiting for them.

    Ail, if you have any tips for me, they would be much appreciated. Was thinking of trading out PFF for Smoke or Fiery Embrace.

  16. Hey all just wanted to get a little help with my build. Trying to go a cheap route. This is my only Dom so I'm not familiar with some of the common tricks and stuff. Any help or tips would be much appreciated.

    EDIT: Sorry I forgot to mention how I'd be using him. He would be mostly PvE team play. Some solo if I am able to manage it. No PvP.

    Yes Darkest Night is a very nice addition to brutes. I would have kept it but can't fit it in anymore and the end drain was pretty bad.

  18. I have to agree. My DM/Shield has so so end but luckily I get DC. As for the damage, wow is it awesome. Shield Charge into each mob, Soul Drain them and then pick apart anything left standing with ease.

    Back on target, Slow resists are actually pretty useful for a heavy recharge SS/Fire build, because -rech really messes up all the hard work you did to get the build to high rech in the first place. I might jump on test and respec into temp protection and see how it works in conjunction with the winters gift for a full 40% resist to slow.

    Then time to pick on a herd of fortunatas/tarantulas to see how well the resists hold up.

    Not something I deem needed, but might be interesting to see if it makes a noticable difference.

    The major issue to me is the jab pick instead of punch, and slotting jab and KB blow with non damage sets makes for slow boss fights.

    I think if you juggled slots around from your shields to add to blazing aura, and reslotted KB Blow especially with a damage set you would be much better off.

    I appreciate the input and will check out what you suggested. To be honest, my single target attacks are pretty much just left overs for that build, but I have always wondered if I could get more damage out of blazing aura.

    EDIT: Oh okay, I chose jab for the purple stun set. Knew there was a reason. I needed the recharge. Same for KO Blow. As for Temp Protection, I needed more resistance to fire. Hmm.. I have damage procs currently in both Mu powers instead of End Redux. I think I will take those 2 slots and put them into Blazing Aura.
  23. Here's mine. Use it primarily to farm with, though. You can trade out a couple end redux for damage procs, but then you'll have to keep a closer eye on your endurance. I've used this build for a very long time and it's never failed me when farming and does the job in AE.

  24. Well that sucks. So not only do we lose our protection and seem to get slowed when engaged, but we also get DR in PvP. Makes me question even spending so much on IOs now.
