    PGT and ACC

PGT from Traps does have an accuracy check

Only the -rgn and slow debuffs are autohit, the rest of the effects have a tohit check
  2. If you're on Virtue I can hook you up, send me a global.

I'll agree when you show me a VEAT who can solo the Master of LRSF or solo Lusca. Until then, have fun playing in the minor leagues.
  4. I might go Very Rare on my Brute, but I doubt I'll be getting it on my other 5 toons (who will just stay at Rare). It's not like they aren't delightfully overpowered already.

This is what I normally do.

And yes, cascading defense failure IS your enemy, WILL happen very often and when it does, resistance will mean little (especially when fighting Cimerorans, Kheldians, Arachnos or Longbow; and DE too will be problematic for their quartz)

Once they're confused they'll be attacking all of the AVs nearby, so you just need to also confuse the AV that you wish to get killed. They'll attack whoever has done damage to them and once they do, they become the focused target.

And yes, Numina does have enough DPS, she killed the entire Freedom Phalanx alone.
    Keeping 2 +2 AVs perma-confused is pretty impressive, you're a beast.
  7. That is a pretty impressive way to trick the system.

You must have some pretty ingenious strategy to pull this off, since it doesn't seem as simple as "confuse Numina and have her kill all the AVs". She alone doesn't have enough DPS to kill another AV, and confused targets rarely stay focused on a single target, prefering to wander off and look for more targets to spread damage to.

Your buildup is 100% wasted in the majority of cases, along with any damage inspirations etc.
This is the reason why Elec/Shield is subpar on Brutes, those powersets are better suited for Scrappers

But when we're talking about an elite boss, I have to start grumbling a bit. More specifically, I'm talking about Burkholder, as found in Jenni Adiar's arc.

  11. That Corruptor better have an AoE immobilize from the patron pool, otherwise the critters will be scattering like there's no tomorrow.

The Controller will usually do better though, cause being able to lock down the spawn gives him an edge in suriability. Sure you can softcap defense on a Corruptor to patch the survivability problem, but even then you'll be limited in the mobs you can fight (since you have to pick between capping ranged defense OR smash/lethal defense), whereas a Controller's only limit are mez-resistant spawns (which are rare)
  12. I've got 5 kids to feed (aka alts) so I'm not counting on seeing the very rare slot anytime soon. It's not like my toons aren't already OP'd as it is.

You feel that since Stalkers have little AoE they should be better at single target while I think Stalkers should just be given sets that are considered good at AoE (you'd probably take back much of your stance if Stalkers got Tanker Fire melee with combustion exchanged for AS or with SS, having a 50% crit Footstomp or throwing the AT Shields to make use of Shield charge).

You shouldn't have to bolster one AT over the others to make them superior for certain situations. Do people say "Man, we've got lots of minions running around...where can we get a blaster?" Probably not because any schmuck with AoEs can handle this. So why should Stalkers be special? It's not fair.
    *facepalm*

Everyone on the team is whiffing because he's got defense. You pop Aim and fire off Irradiate, Cosmic Burst, and some other power in the time Aim is active. We have to assume that Aim is capping your chance to hit, ignore the fact that the three attacks would still have a chance to miss, and ignore the possibility that Mako's AoE attacks could kill you in the time it takes to approach and retreat for Irradiate. Using your defender's numbers, that's a total of 121.76% in defense debuffs. Now, assuming that Mako's defense powers do not include any sort of defense debuff resistance of their own, your debuffs now face a 87% resistance for the 54 AV. Then you have to layer the purple patch that brings your debuffs down by another 52%. You can debuff Mako's defense by 8.73%, so long as you never miss an attack in your chain, which will happen on average once every twenty attacks. I think AV fights last around the time it takes to execute twenty attacks.
I'm pretty sure that Mako's Elude gives him a 100% immunity to -def debuffs, same as Mynx.

  20. You were also asking if you could do it with temps
  21. Come on, Friedberg and Seltzer have their (admitedly few) moments, and even though the majority of the internet dislikes them their movies can still be considered guilty pleasures for those of us who aren't as jaded and cynical. They're definitely not in the same boat as Uwe Boll
  22. Yes, and neither Brute nor Scrappers are the best choices for it.
  23. If you're using temps it doesn't matter what build/powersets/AT you are, since with Shivans and nukes even a DB/Dark Stalker can solo an AV
